It's an extremely fun game. The first is my favorite game on Wii U, and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is right behind it.

It looks like a lot of fun, I loved the first Splatoon game. Too bad I got my Switch after the testfire had already happened for it.

The Test Fire was my first ever experience with Splatoon. I never saw the appeal of the first game, and not owning a Wii U I never cared too much about it (I did fap to the squid lolis, but that's different).
When they announced the Test Fire for 2 I thought I'd give it a try since I had a Switch. And I fell in love with the game after the second match.

I already know I'm going to playing for a long time. Only sad thing is I'll miss some of the lore and references to the first game.

Sad thing is after a year of splatfest the game will die.

I don't think you'll have to worry too much about that, I'm sure it'll make sense in the game with the lore. Also, the squid lolis are the best part of the game.

Not surprised. The game is legit fun and unlike any game I had played before. I put in about 100 hours and got S+ rank in the first game, and this is coming from someone who usually doesn't waste 10 minutes with online multiplayer games. It's just damn addictive.

There was buttdamage on twitter. I remember one nip complaining that splatoon 2 was already released in the US so /ourguys/ had an advantage.

Explain how it isn't competitive. It's competitive and way more fucking fun to watch than something like competitive overwatch. Splatoon is all about constantly making a push, and not spending time to just sitting around defending like in overwatch.

I only played the first one's Testfire. Kinda worried about how I'll do. Everyone will be so much better than me.

After watching those finals, I can definitely see how Splatoon can be competitive. It's actually very easy to watch due to the ink mechanic. Also, if you're worried about skill ceilings, the US team was obviously better. Tim himself splat over the Japs like they were nothing. He was on an other level compared to the rest.

Splat Tim was the hero we needed, but didn't deserve.

Except the Japs deserved that fucking destruction because of how they only play as laggy chargers.

Tip: get into gyro aiming. Play the campaign with it.

It takes a short time to get used to, but then you never want to miss it. It's way, WAY superior to just dual stick aiming and probably the currently best form of aiming controls available on a console shooter.

It's fine, friend. I arrived a little late on the Splatoon fun too but god damn is it amazing. Definitely earned it's place on my 3x3.

Honestly, unless Japan gets nuked or Spla3n comes out, the game will never be "dead"-dead.
