this isn't ark. this has a huge streaming playerbase that hasn't dropped off yet. every other EASG game has always dropped off a lot after the 1st week. and if they don't fuck up like ark did and actually host tournaments. They will be fine.

About 25% mad. The game is fun to play, but it's garbage on pretty much every technical level you can think of. Graphics, UI, controls, it's all shit, but the game has a good enough hook to be really enjoyable with friends

the worst part is these sort of devs keep the game in EA so they don't have to process refunds

when killing floor 2 released out of EA record numbers applied for refunds, this is why DayZ or h1z1 etc will never leave alpha

The patch like 3 or so days ago improved it immensely.

I went from Dipping down below 60 FPS quite often to 80+ consistently. Even in lobby and plane, while dropping out of the plane.

I bought it on Thursday. When was the patch? Cause it ran like shit then so I don't believe you. I'm just not sure if its because of my CPU because I can run Lawbreakers just fine and that has a lot more going on but I don't got the best CPU in the world here.

In what fucking way? There's nothing that stands out in PUBG. Are we going to pretend its not a third person shooter with respawn turned off and a shrinking play area? Sure, execution wise, it has no competition outside of maybe Battlerite (it does the same exact fucking thing but its top down and an arena game). There's no mechanics to movement or shooting. Its just a generic third person shooter with a gimmick.

It's early access you retard; it's not even feature complete.
Obviously optimization is the last step in finishing a game.

Game is high risk, high reward. Don't be afraid to go and chase someone down or go to a crowded area.

it looks great maxed out, but good luck running it max with anything less than a 1080. the UI is fine, its minimal but still easy to see when you need to and the controls are much better and less cluttered than ARMAs controls.

It's round-based 100-person battle royale.
There's no crafting and the only survival element is not getting yourself killed.
Don't get me wrong Its still a janky EA PvPfest, but I think it does a good job at cutting out all the trivial mechanics in favor of much quicker gameplay

All those players in these shitty games are mostly russians, gooks and 12 year olds. These are popular in the way shit tier youtube content is popular. There's no quality they're just lazily applying a proven formula. Reviews are always positive early on, then mixed and eventually negative.

I can see Ubisoft doing a really shitty attempt at a BR game.

It sold 4 million copies and was advertised at E3 because it's going to release on consoles. The devs have enough money to hire more people to speed-up development and optimise it, but they're just not going to do it because why would they? People will still buy it and they can keep it in early access forever and fans will play the "B-b-but it's unfinished" card.

Dunno about different maps, but there are developer statements on new modes, mechanics, fixes, etc if you read through their interviews and announcements
