i'm playing bravely default right now and it's legitimately good, i'm at chapter four so the infamous boring part is yet to come.
I've also purchased bravely second, like, one week ago and i'm eager to play it.

Only the first two loops and the crystal bosses, after that, you battle the jobmasters in groups, I'll never forget being raped by the mage team in the final loop.

It sold about 700k, I guess that's alright considering how much they shamelessly recycled from the first game.

those are above average in 3ds sales.

Did you heal using Bravely Second in the middle of the first turn to avoid the gangrape? It's the casual button for the rest of the game so I'm not surprised most people forgot about it.

Of course not, if I wanted to beat them easy I could've abused Stillness, and I wanted to beat them on my terms I did.

Never saw my preferred op team online, basically get absorb elements on everyone then have a dark knight spam the hurt everyone move. Guaranteed 9999 damage plus 9999 heals on your team.

I'm playing through BS right now just got to the end of chap 4, The music isn't as bad aas people were claiming, though the specials are fucking horrible in comparsion. I like the regular battle theme as well

They sound really samey and they lack that signature instrument thing the first game's special themes had going.

The first time I used a special I was extremely disappointed. The reuse of the boss battle theme for the old bosses was cool though. Also I like the new boss theme

It sounds better as background music imo, i got tired of the first battle theme ad nausem, but that might be because i absolutely played every inch of the game and ended up at the level cap at chapter 5(for regular levels not job levels)

Honestly, my only problem is how awful the dialogue in BS is. The group spends too much time talking about food. They also try to push Yew's gravy catchphrase too hard. Hell, the overall tone of the game just doesn't seem all that serious. Maybe things change since I'm only in chapter 3.

the food is foreshadowing the characters personalities. oh believe me the story is going to get more serious and even somewhat complicated. you are just in the beggining after all.

im not the guy at ch3 but the guy who mentioned loves vagrant and am at the end of ch4(right when they say ng+) but Edea seems to have regressed pretty badly and seems flanderized.

It seems like the story was rewritten, the teaser for BS was the scene where Magnolia rescues Tiz but that ended up not being important in the final version. It didn't even make sense for her to go alone.

i actually think the opposite. Edea is more complex and rounded in BS. You will know more if you play all her sidequests.

octopath doesn't look as interesting as the Bravely series was, and the art style looks dull. they need to get Akihiro Yoshida to art more. His style is one of a kind and I love it.

we know that it is quite young development-wise, that it is made by the BD team and that the name is a placeholder. The chance for it to being Bravelly Third is quite high.
