What are some fun games for 3ds that are actually challenging?
What are some fun games for 3ds that are actually challenging?
kid icarus uprising
There are none. Nintendo consoles (particularly the handhelds) are for children.
Rhythm Heaven Megamix
Kid Icaus Uprising
desu :O
If you dont mind DS games you can always try pic related
Play Fire Emblem Conquest on Lunatic without the DLC.
monster hunter 4U
looks interesting.
VLR?
The challenge is in the puzzles
Dragon Quest VII
Bravely Default on Hard without using the P2W mechanic
Shin Megami Tensei IV
MH4U
monster hunter
pokemon (with difficulty mods)
picross 3d and the other picross games if you're new/shit
taiko (jp onry, need cfw)
SMT IV because it's the Dark Souls of video games
bimb
does playig a certain game makes battery last longer? What game is easy on the battery?
i am going on a road for at least 10 hours without stoping what should i play? I hate fucking traveling
Ds games are less intensive on battery and it's also best to turn the brightness down to lowest setting.
>FE Conquest
Pretty tough on default difficulty, and if you bump up the difficulty on the other ones they're pretty tough too. requires you to think of the game as a sort of board game wherein you have to be able to accurately predict what actions the enemy will take.
>Monster Hunter 3/4U/Gen
Requires a bit of memorization and paying attention to enemy tells. You can get away with spamming and not learning enemy attacks for a bit but each game has a brick wall where monsters can kill in 3 hits and force you to play properly
>Etrian Odyssey 4/Untold 1/Untold 2
Requires good planning and mapmaking in order to survive. Turn based battles are tough to survive without putting some thought into buffing characters and thinking about the most effective party layout.
>SMT IV
Honestly after the first two bosses it gets really easy, if you exploit enemy weaknesses properly you're basically invincible for 90% of the fights, I've heard Apocalypse is harder but I haven't played yet
>Bravely Default/Second
Don't use the streetpass and don't use the P2W pause mechanic and the battles become really intense really fast. You're forced into using the Brave and Default options in order to survive and be able to craft a party that works well together
>Kid Icarus Uprising
Custom difficulty makes it play like a Sin and Punishment game in the air, but the ground sections are shoddy at best and getting killed on a high difficulty automatically lowers it to be easier which is annoying
>Rhythm Heaven Megamix
Actually really easy but getting perfect on every song is a great test of your sense of rhythm
What? The puzzles in that game are insultingly easy most of the time
Also by "the other ones" I meant the other 3ds Fire Emblem games
Started this recently, looks really fun so far. I didn't imagine there would be so many ways to interact with the demons
>How can she slap?
I just recently started as well. Currently wandering around Shinjuku trying to figure out what to do. Have fun user!
SMTIV is broken and unbalanced
You'll enjoy about halfway after Tsukiji but once you get meta skills it's a braindead experience.
IV apocalypse is the superior version.
Kid Icarus Uprising in 9.0
Theathrythm Final Fantasy on the hardest difficulty.
Is Apocalypse a sequel or some sort of upgraded IV?
Mh4u. Mhgen has alot less stuff in it
fe conquest, dont bother with the other routes
bravely default, get an uncensored cia of it
and kid icarus is the best 3ds game there is
Sequel. I know, it's fucking retarded.
It's a sequel of sorts but they don't expect you to play IV and they explain the lore infinitely better.
Everything is improved, story, gameplay etc.
>Ctrl + Shinobi
>0 results
Shinobi. Shinobi is the shit.
I hear that's a big game
my 3ds cant run ds games
Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.
Okay so this is a good sign. If you're enjoying IV as it is I can only imagine you'd have a damn blast with IV:A.
I got to the point where the story diverges in SMTIV I think (where you have to do the test with the candle) and the gameplay has become fucking boring and easy as pie and I've been told I'm only like halfway done.
Is it worth finishing or should i just play Apocalypse?
Kind of a waste to give up at this point, but if you're REALLY not having a good time I guess there's nothing wrong with skipping ahead?
Awakening on lunatic
>Bravely Default on Hard without using the P2W mechanic
should i start new game on the hard only?game is that easy?
That's not where story diverges.
>artificial difficulty and garbage maps
op said good games
Quiet you
I found Donkey Kong Country Returns tough but I could be retarded
Casual with Hard/Lunatic could be pretty fun. Having to just barely scrape by every map with half your team dead, making sure Robin and Chrom aren't among the casualties.
Literally the best 3DS game if you don't have weak fingers and arthritis. Difficulty is perfect because you can adjust it down to the decimel point.
get a powerbank and convert the charging cord to usb and youre good. you can charge a new 3ds 8 times with a 20 dollar power bank
Isn't that hard. Lunatic+ is when it gets hard, but only because the game goes out of it's way to make every enemy into an unstoppable juggernaut (e.g. Counter+, Luna+, etc. on every enemy), and it stops being a fun challenge and steps into a "make these exact moves or you can't clear this map" and a single RNG fuckup will make the map unwinnable.
That's kind of how I feel about Thabes on hard in Echoes. I just wish Echoes had a lunatic mode, it's the perfect game for it.
Well shit, am I close to it then? According to the one boss I'm on the neutral route right now but i'm afraid I'll fuck up and end on the wrong path since I haven't been keeping track of my actual "karma points"
I really feel like the combat system lost it's bite about 5 bosses ago and it's just became a matter of fusing for moves the upcoming boss is weak to. I think I'll try to make a bit more progress and see if things get better, I'm not too concerned with the story anyway
Shinobi
none of you faggots get it except for this one
this is right
You are nearing the point where the biggest decisions will be made, but still quite a way of from the actual diversion point.
Have you finished Camp ichigaya yet? There's some interesting plot progression there that I think is worth playing and after that the the game pressures you to finally choose your route. I'd drop it after that
DQ7 isn't that hard. It's more about how tolerant you are of slow pacing and redundant tasks.
But that's what makes it great IMO.
There's some decent Castlevania games.
>Bravely default
Even without the p2w mechanics, the game breaks itself with almost any class combination, hell, you can break the game with 1 spiritmaster
...
Why is quentin beating up children?
>3DS
Everyone knows that normies call it a gameboy
this is so fucking gay
>this user thinks some videogames are not made for children
HAHAHA
i dont get it
>women being offended by things
But that's normal, isn't it?
I don“t see the appeal that cuck simulation games have on children
>yey i can play as daddy
Monster Hunter 4 is really solid
This.
To this very fucking day people still call them 'gameboys' or just Nintendo. Even if it's a fucking PSP.
kek
>boring turn based weeb shit
>boring turn based weeb shit
>boring turn based weeb shit
ok
bump
Holy underage
MH3U
MH4U
MHXX
Now before you say "MHXX is not hard" let me remind you of the pile of shitter corpses that failed at playing this game and that you can still see die in a daily basis.
>MHXX is not hard
>ticket monster
anyone who says its not hard are try hard,bu the game is casualized
The ticket system sucks but that don't change the fact that deviants can dish out a fuckton of pain.
>What are some fun games for 3ds that are actually challenging?
There are none, the only thing that's somewhat challenging is MH4U, that's it.
It's a handheld for kids, don't expect too much of it.
4U
Kid Icarus Uprising
Etrian Odyssey series
SMTIVA
The Legend of Legacy
MH3U
>The Legend of Legacy
>Hard
Maybe if you never played a SaGa game in your life.
>SMT IV
>hard
I love the game user but come on, the only hard part of the game is the area before you reach Tokyo
