sun and moon

HGSS

Pokemon Gold

Haven't beat a Pokemon game since Black. It's a shame, the recent games look really good. I did play a bit of Y, but it felt incredibly easy with Exp. Share.

ORAS

Pokemon X
Some parts of Sun and Moon but not really honestly, pretty boring I never even finished.

Moon

B2/W2

X/Y and Sun/Moon were hot garbage

...

Sun & Moon
That being sad I consider them weakest entry in the series.

ORAS
Fucking love these massive breasts of hers.

Red

Bunch of ugly girls, no homo.
Even if homo, it's 2017, homos are accepted.

Sun and Moon
Replaying Colosseum right now and it's pretty fun too

sun and moon
my favourite games are BW

Sun and moon

Pokemon Sun. The totem pokemon, better strategies for the NPC trainers, and the "difficult" trainers on each route were a nice change of pace.

Love that artist and their fetish for making every girl have massive tits.

BW2

2 > 4 > 6 > 5 > 7 > 1 > 3

I'm aware I have shit taste.

But thats good taste.

you most certainly do

This, though i wouldn't say the newer games are hot garbage.

Pokemon Go

Huh. This is unexpected. The general opinion on /vp/ is that gen 7 is trash

Please don't post my wife.

5=3>6>4>7>1>2
Includes remakes

Mostly by people who hate Pokemon.

Gen 7 is at least a step up from Gen 6. All they need to do is cut down on the story and make some performance improvements and it'll be perfect. Not that Gamefreak has any programming competence to manage the latter

sun and moon are kind of trash, but they're still pokemon at the end of the day

/vp/ is full of redditors and underage idiots, they're also anti-loli.

I see it flip flopped around. I think its better than Gen 6. I don't know why people hate it so much.

Magikarp Jump

fpbp

Sun and Moon
Got to use my dream Pokemon there, Golisopod.

emerald

>they're also anti-loli.

What the fuck? This site is so goddamn crazy anymore.

Volt White 2. Recently completed a playthrough, it was pretty funs.

The only people who like the 3DS Pokemon games are waifufags. Look what was posted in the OP to attract them to this thread and look and what the people who say they enjoyed them are posting. This happens in every Pokemon thread.

>they're also anti-loli
Good, they're still degenerates though.

It's a Pokemon game. Even my friend who says he hated how it didn't let him go in certain areas said he enjoyed the story and likes the new Pokemon.

sun would've been fine without the absolutely unbearable cutscenes every 3 steps

White 2. I just haven't gotten around to playing X/Y/ORAS/Sun/Moon yet. I didn't hear much about X/Y, people just said they were mediocre I think. Kinda looking forward to ORAS. Looking more forward to S/M, though the complaints of endless cutscenes worries me.

moon, last year

hope the switch version has some more stuff to do though, and that the pokemon following you is a thing that's actually happening

>The only people who like the 3DS Pokemon games are waifufags
>This happens in every Pokemon thread.
This. Gen 6 and 7 have been 1 step forward, 4 steps back in terms of actual fun gameplay.

Moon
I like Lunala, and it was pretty much the only time I felt like I wanted to use a legendary.

Super mystery dungeon.

Pokemon colosseum is great, the fact that every battle is a double battle is really interesting and while it is not particularly hard, it is interesting that npcs use shit like skill swap slaking, the intro was dope as fuck and Wes is probably one of the best MCs in the franchise.

What is wrong with you.

>Above anything at all
lmao

By "cutscenes" they usually mean that an NPC will prompt you when you enter a certain area to progress the plot. The actual cutscenes in the game are mostly at the beginning and at the end, with a few small bits of normal rpg dialogue in between. The biggest complant is how long the intro scene is apparently.

>they're also anti-loli
not true

While I certainly preferred it when the games fucked off and let me play, as long as they don't bother you for too long, it's fine.

>people who like the 3DS Pokemon games are waifufags
Finally, someone says it. Unless you like paying to look at low-poly anime girls, there is nothing particularly redeeming about them.

This user is a liar. And stop going into things blind. If you want evidence of an overabundance of cutscenes, just look at the gameplay videos online.

Black/White. 150 new pokemon with none of the old ones was fantastic, even if they were clones of the old ones.

It's a shame about Sun/Moon. I feel it was so close to being the best pokemon game we've had in well over a decade, but there were so many bad design decisions that bogged it down.
>cutscenes out the ass
game is practically unreplayable because of this
>linear as fuck
the thing that pisses me off the most about this is the 2nd island - we could have done the trials in any order, fight the fire guy first, fight whatever your starter was strong against, but nope, shit needs to be railroaded so hard that you get punished with a 30 second mini-cutscene if you ever try and stray from the set path.
>tapus, ayys, crystals
these are more personal preference, but I find the tapus and crystals to be stupid. don't like the design of tapus or the idea behind the crystals. They should have fixed mega evolutions instead of trying to slap a band-aid on em, which is what I assume the crystals are there for. The ayys were squandered potential; we should have been able to explore an alien world and get rekt by the ayys, instead it's just a brief 5-minute segment then everything goes back to normal.
>Trials
while no gyms sounded good, fighting the kahunas was basically the same thing as a gym battle, and the trials themselves were just buffed wild pokemon, nothing to write home about.

Colosseum has an awesome track

All the way through? Black 2. I enjoyed Sun, but only at first; I can't fucking stand Lillie and the Kanto pandering is getting out of hand. I'll admit that I really like Red and Blue's new designs, though.

>And stop going into things blind.

That's my favorite way to go into games these days. No/low expectations makes disappointments less severe and enjoyable times more enjoyable. Except in the case of MGS V which somehow disappointed me even though I already had very low expectations.

You did play on Hard, right?

I like Sun and Moon, but I cant deny that Gen 6 and 7 havent completely scratched that pokemon itch that I got from every previous gen.

I can't say HG because I ran into a bunch of things I didn't like and never even finished it.

So, I guess that leaves me with Diamond, but even that was a mixed bag.

Sinnoh games are pretty slow. Up until iron island and Snowpoint, most of the game is trudging through uninspired grass routes. HG and SS have nice touches like the pokeatholan, 8-bit music player, following pokemon, etc. But it takes forever for pokemon to level up, and Kanto in those games is a mess of properly leveled trainers and underleveled pokemon. X and Y were largely trash, but their wider variety of pokemon with more interesting movesets makes playing through it more fun. ORAS was pretty great, aside from the legendary handout and focus on mega-evolutions.

x/y
i bought alpha sapphire and moon but didn't play either of them for more than an hour

of course.
Clay's Nidoking was fucking me up for a good while because he'd OHKO all my Pokes so I had to raise a Samurott since it was the only thing that wouldn't get one shotted. Ghetsis almost bopped me with his Moxie Gyarados because I didn't switch beforehand cause I mistakenly though it had intimidate.

...

I would fuck every single one of those Pokemon girls and cum as deep in their wombs as I possibly could.

I'm not lying. The most intrusive and gameplay interrupting "cutscenes" are the NPC prompts, as they freeze the game abruptly for single "go this way." The game only has roughly 15 minutes of actual cutscenes, and if you include all standard story dialogue it's about 45 minutes.

So much this. Glad to see we can come to an agreement that the people who like the new shitty games are worthless lonely virgin cucks.

Fuck off waifufag shills, you just got exposed. This isn't your thread anymore.

d a m a g e c o n t r o l

>ex-evil team member who gets betrayed and goes rogue, steals the team's technology, and sets out to stop all their plans.
yeah pretty much the only protag with some backstory other than "LUL I TURNED 10 TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE AND GET SHOEHORNED INTO SOME STORY THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME"

Chicken-chan isn't my waifu you retard. I just find her sexually attractive, I'm not even a lolicon

I'm not "damage controlling" pokebarneyfag, I explicitly said that the ever-frequent prompts are intrusive and unwelcome. The actual amount of cutscenes are exactly as I said if you played it.

I wanna play the new '3d' gen of pokemon and don't really have much of an interest for other 3ds games (outside maybe some mario games probably). What ds do I get? Want the lowest pricepoint with a decent level of quality and not be stuck with a pile of shit

I've been a waifufag my whole life but even I don't have the dedication to endure Sun/Moon

plus the 3ds makes every game look like shit anyway, no matter how cute the characters look in fan art / promotional art

protip: all pokemon games are for kids, and all of them are clones from gen 2. If you are over 12 and still playing pokemon fuck off to /vp/ or kill yourself.

>claims I'm a waifufag to fuel his gen 6/7 hate boner despite my post clearly criticizing them

Thats some autism right there mate. You might want to slow down on your frantic posting next time to prove your point better.

Pokémon Black 2, and then I stopped playing because the new 3D Pokémon gave me AIDS

Everything that was wrong with sinnoh was fixed in platinum and even if the level curve is kind of fucked in hg/ss the sheer amount of content makes up for it.
XY while it did have a bigger variety of pokemon other than that Kalos doesn't really have anything going for it in my opinion, maybe it is just me getting older, but I barely remember anything from the kalos region eventhough XY is the latest pokemon game I have played.
I thought ORAS was fine, but it not having Emerald's content really held it back.
In my opinion it goes like.
5=>4>3>6>1
I have never played gen 2 or 7, so I can't place them.

>so many awesome Alola pokemon
>great designs, neat typings
>70% of them are slow as fucking molasses
>the remaining decent ones have a fucking 5% encounter rate

Why is GameFreak so shitty? I still managed to make a team I really liked, but GF needs to get their head out of their asses and stop ruining everything.

don't forget that like 90% of the new pokemon are physical attackers. I struggled to find special attackers in that game

5>7>2>1>4

Skipped 3, and these are only rated on how much I enjoyed them at the time of release with the first duo of the gen (no HGSS, no Platinum, etc.).

>skipping the only good gen

I fucking loved the designs this gen, many being in my all time favorites but the issue I had was where they were spaced. Some were way too late in the game.
I'm fine with 5% rates because at least grass rates don't stoop to "Chimecho in gen 2" levels.

>leaving out best brown

Did he get betrayed?
I thought he went rogue because he was the one stole the most pokemon in the team and he found out what happend to the pokemon he stole, he couldn't just let this shit happend and recaptures and rehabilitate all the shadow pokemon and stop the organization that is creating them as an act of redemption.

>but GF needs to get their head out of their asses and stop ruining everything.

I swear they keep taking steps back every time they make a game because they don't want to make a perfect Pokemon game.

Playing the games? X&Y
When was the last time I enjoyed pokemon? Yesterday before bed

SRE, or like autists like to call them RubEmSaphi, was the las time I had tons of fun. XY was also somewhat fun.

Was it any good? I played ORAS but it's not in my rating of the gens. Also forgot 6 but eh, it wasn't really that memorable anyway so I wouldn't know where to put it.

The last I played through was Crystal, which is still my favorite. The last one to come out I enjoyed was Sun, but that's solely because I can enjoy all the games on some level as long as it has the core Pokemon gameplay. The last release I thoroughly enjoyed was Y, though I do think it could've been a lot better.

Platinum but B&W was not bad. Dropped the series at X&Y

Depends, what didn't you like about oras, because oras is better RS in my opinion, but it is worse than emerald since ORAS doesn't have the content that emerald had.

return to the bean island Mohn

I loved secret bases.
I barely remember anything else about it other than soaring, because holy fuck I loved secret bases. Every day I'd open the game and have some new secret bases to visit.
Spent hours and hours designing the best possible secret base, and only farmed money from the e4 just to buy more stuff for my secret base. Kept collecting flags even after 1000 because goddamn I fucking love secret bases.

X Version
Never finished Moon, apparently a lot of people dropped gen 7.

meme sapphire in a foreign language

I have no idea sorry.
I was never into secret bases, they were there in gen 3, but they might be slightly worse since there wasn't any wifi yet so visiting secret bases are a local only thing.
The story is slightly different in emerald since you fight against both team aqua and magma and the story is also told more like the original game so it is less "cinematic" if that makes sense.
you might wanna check it out for the original battle frontier and some of the othet content like the desert tower and sky pillar bike challenge.
I hope this helps.

B2
I really enjoyed how the sequel setup felt as opposed to the previous reboot cycle, and the World Tournament was a great post-game hook. Also got to see Bianca growing up into cutieP2T 2.0

I've only really seen that on this site, the games still produce the same amounts of fan media and discussion they normally do on others.
As far as other sites go in regards to complaining about it though, google reveals that apparently a lot of the people on reddit and twitter who dropped it did so not because of the reasons usually seen here but because they dislike how "not-pokemon" the UBs look.
I don't get it but eh.
