What would you like to see from a sequel?
What would you like to see from a sequel?
I would hope for a "bigger" sequel.
a sequel and not 64 again with added gimmicks.
at this point pretty much anything because given how this bombed it could at least take 5 years or more before they decide to try again so at long as it doesn't get the metroid treatment I'll be happy

>Nintendo drops IPs because they don't do well.
Tell that to Chibi-Robo, Metroid, and Fire Emblem.
>The two female characters from SF2 joining the team
>A new villain
>A traditional control scheme
Going back to the basics with a more arcade-like approach vs. trying to story it all up with cutscenes and the like.
Intelligent Systems stated that Awakening could've been the last Fire Emblem if it didn't sell well
Tanabe also said the same thing about Chibi-Robo Zip Lash
Those happened after years of unsuccessful new entries.
And those years of unsuccessful entries is what propelled those two games to be their respective franchises' last legs.
Do you really think your precious Nintendo would lie about that?
>Those happened after years of unsuccessful new entries.
Command, Assault, Zero.
Yep yep, ready to drop. Argue all you want if they were utter shit or not, maybe they met the norm AT BEST. Starfox won't disappear but let's put a pin on it for now, k? along with f-zero.
But at first, they shove them into the lower-budget handheld hell.
You can usually tell if a franchise is at risk when it starts getting more handheld titles then console ones.
Keep the Chicken Walker, more bosses, more on rail segments, more stages in general, more bosses, I wouldn't mind a bit of gyro aiming returning but only as a way to add precision to aiming at what's in front of the Arwing and not as a requirement to fight bosses at weird angles, and more bosses.
Thankfully being on the Switch would eliminate the requirement to look at two screens no matter what.
stop pretending you enjoy star fox
star fox was never good
Of course, this doesn't apply to Star Fox.
Star Fox is less of a franchise and more of a testbed for Miyamoto to get people to look at his gimmick when Warioware or Pilotwings won't work.
Just can the franchise and make a new IP based around space combat, don't think it can be salvaged at this point. Following an attempted reboot with another reboot is just sad, let it die.
Honestly, more gimmicks.

Make traditional controls at least an option, twice the number of levels, online multiplayer, hard mode, on-foot missions (or just improve the walker). Thats it really.
Wrong.
