>mech focused game lets you exit out the mech and fight on foot
There aren't enough games that let you do this
Mech focused game lets you exit out the mech and fight on foot

I completely agree.
Metal Warriors for the SNES.
Bonus points if you can still kick ass out of your mech.
no
>Xenoblade X Galactic Knight build
not a mech game per se, but there were mechs, and you can walk around on foot
>tfw after narrowly escaping on foot you return to your mech and start effortlessly splatting all the little squishies who were just giving you trouble.
>mech focused game not focusing on the mecha
just looked for that game on youtube and it looks fucking great. Is it?
It's a great concept, but mech games is a dying genre so I'm fine not getting out of a mech as long as they're still making mech games.
>tfw you bail out of your mech at the last moment
So it's a Gundam game?
It's pretty damn good but a little difficult
One of the best games on the console. Criminally underplayed,
Metal Warriors for SNES was the SHIT
Mechassault 2
Uhhhh
Titanfall?
That was double helix just being incompetent and shit, by your logic front mission as a whole is bad because double helix made that game.
Titanfall 2 is criminally underrated.
It's great and shamefully was Japan only. There's a good English patch out if you want to emulate.
Metal Warriors is excellent as a multiplayer game, kinda meh single player especially when compared to Gun Hazard and Cybernator/Valken.
Thanks!
what is this game
It can't be helped. EA wanted to kill it so they could buy Respawn for cheap just because EA wanted them making Medal of Honor again.
Surprisingly, the player base stayed longer than the first one.
I play it everyday on PC
Its just what fun feels like.
Name some so I can steal ideas for the game I'm working on.
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Xenogears
Metal Warriors
Ranger-X (kinda)
Titanfall 1/2
Overwatch (kinda)
Shogo (if i recall correctly, but probably not)
Metal Warriors
Certain objectives requires you to get out.
You can also steal other mechs if your mech is too damaged.
You definitely can't get out of your mech in heavy gear 2, but squishing the smalls is soooo satisfying.
Saints Row 4 is the opposite, it's mostly on foot but you'll gain the ability to use the mech suit freely later in the game
You DON'T want to do this. This is the main reason why Front Mission Evolved was dogshit.
>one game being shit suddenly makes everything even remotely related shit
Front Mission 2 was good though. I mean I prefer 1 and 3 but 2 is still a nice side scroller
>We will never have mech assault or mech warriors living legends combined arms scale mech combat ever again.
I remember my friend coming over and us playing that multiplayer. Strangely, strangely competitive considering the game was really designed to be single player.
Front Mission Evolved, a terrible game made by the geniuses behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the Xbox, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, The Golden Compass, Silent Hill Homecoming, and Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters.
It came from the era when Japanese developers were farming out their second tier IPs to the cheapest and shittiest western studios they could in hopes it would attract a more global audience.
>Overwatch
It's only for one character, but I agree. Losing D.Va's mech and then landing a pistol kill while escaping to recover the mech is a great feeling if you can pull it off.
Drache is some easy cheesy shit
Ballistic's the real hero
Spider's pretty fun too
>This is the main reason why Front Mission Evolved was dogshit.
There was so many things wrong with Evolved user, the shitty on foot segments was just one problem of many.
>mechwarrior
>combined arms
LMAO. Starting with Mechwarrior 3 the franchise is all about tactical team based multiplayer, this is the reason Mechwarrior community is still going amazingly strong despite MWO being really fucking questionable when it comes to many gameplay design decisions. Creating a combined arms Mechwarrior game means it's going to be SP focused, since you cannot balance combined arms properly in MP as proven by MWLL.
somehow they managed to actually make a pretty good game with Strider
Also, by multiplayer, I mean pvp, of course. Unit vs Unit, Clan vs Clan pvp is where the real fun of Mechwarrior is at.
>Cyber's 99% dodge rate
Who needs customizing?
The parts were you fight on foot were okay I guess.
Is the first one worth playing or should you just jump into Cyber knight 2?
Metal warriors with the pause damage glitch cheeze. Its life change man.
First game is quite dated, you can jump straight into 2. All you need to know about the first game is that your team got stranded in Australia: The Planet, they study a bunch of alien super-biotech stuff and manage to return with tons of interesting data. Then Cyber Knight 2 begins.
Evolved is the only Front Mission game I've played and i thought it was fun
Recommend me the best front mission game so i can improve my tastes.
Source?
For the mainline strategy style Front Mission games play 3/4
For another action game like evolved try Gun Hazard the game from OP.
Seriously? No one mentioned Living Legends MechWarrior?
A lot of the battletech games do this.
Sasuga Tomino.
EDF is pretty great
RAD was better
Maybe if you're just playing single player. The rag doll + friendly fire in EDF makes it much more fun with friends.
RAD single player is more fun than EDF online.
Except G-Nome did it and it was great, so you're a faggot. Speaking of which,
Does having a weapon that forces the enemy pilot to eject so you can kill them and hijack their mech count?
RAD multiplayer is better than everything.
fact
what anime is this? those don't look like gundams.
Aura Battler Dunbine
Dunbine.
