HOW QUICKLY

Is the DLC worth getting if I didn't get too far in the first game

>Spare the others, I am ready.

Get it when it's on sale. You'll either love it or hate it.

The dlc is for late game focus when you at least are done with one or more of the DD quest.

But the Flagellant is top tier

BEGONE FIEND

I wish I could erase all memory of playing Darkest Dungeon so I can start over and do it again.

>Jester probably nerfed so people can't just blow through DLC
>Don't have DLC
>Still effected by nerf

A shuffle team with him running debuffs just became my favorite team comp, and they took it all away.

Is it just me or does Antiquarian and Man at Arms work REALLY well together? Both got party wide buffs and protect me compliments really well with Man at arms too. Motherfucker either dodges everything or takes minimal damage from attack with counter attacks. Sure, it takes a couple of turns to setup but it's pretty good.

>Steady, girl. If we're called, we answer.

Miss miss miss miss.

>He shields his dog when taking damage

Been loving all these DD threads lately.

PRODIGIOUS SIZE ALONE DOES NOT DISSUADE THE SHARPENED BLADE

How to beat the Fanatic? And does he respawn or is he one and done?

He respawns, but much later compared to other wandering bosses.

What's the best Slot 1 class? I usually have a pool of Crusaders to pull from.

Hellion/MAA, depending on what you need.

I'm guessing at highest DPS do leper and hellion

post your favorite line in the game based on the VA delivery

>Circle in the dark, the battle may yet be won

Crusader is the worse slot 1. I dont like his damage and how slow he is.

This. Worst class.

Question

Does the friendly hit of the negative downside of the curse scale with your attack?

Cursed Rabid Leper sounds fun is all

>using crusader outside the ruins

Until you get one with +Acc quirks

best setup for Flagellant?
I have the melee bleed & the bleed that hits the 2 back rows, the

>not getting your money solely through a few triple antifa + meme at arms

>he doesn't use the crusader outside the ruins

such a good line

>even tough hes a leper hes loved by his people
>leaves his kingdom behind to answer the call and exterminate monsters
top man

*snort*

>A spark without kindling is a goal without hope.

what's the difference between slot 1 and 2? oftentimes i like to put high dodge on 3+4 and then some rando on 2 and then hound on 1 and have him guard 2 when i know the innate dodge on 3-4 will suffice or they dont have attacks that reach 3-4. is this okay?

>You will endure this lost and learn from it.

Slot 2 turns Vestal into a tank if you have the trinkets

BACK TO THE PIT

Accuracy Ring. He's gorgeous if you play him right; Intimidate+Withstand to draw arggo and control their heavy hitters, second best self heal in the game.

>always thought it was kinda fucked up that he takes the dog with him
>realize that she wouldn't want to live without him anyway

She's boring, at least the occultist can nerf DMG and mark shit and stab eldritches. And Flagellant is more fun when played as a healer

daily reminder to hug your pupper

>Leper won't party up with the Abomination
>will gladly share the Outsider's Bonfire with him

??

Is abomination's transform limited use to per dungeon or per battle? I literally finished a dungeon without him transforming at all since I thought I had to save it.

Heal all is an excelent ability at harder fights. And shes more reliable than occultist. I only use occultist for some boss fights.

;_;

I havent played in a while but I think you can use it as much as you want but it stresses the shit out of people.

Per battle.

once per fight

>She's boring, at least the occultist can nerf DMG and mark shit and stab eldritches

Hand of light's accuracy penalty is pretty decent, it's also a debuff with one of the lowest damage penalties. Against anything you can't kill in 1-2 turns HOL spam makes your party nearly impossible to hit if they have any dodge.

sadly illumination doesn't have an accuracy bonus so it isn't your one stop shop to deleting sippy skeles

>Heal all is an excelent ability at harder fights

Not just that but spamming it in easy fights or towards the end of fights can destress your party with crits. Other attack all abilities also have an improved chance to crit due to multiple targets but their damage isn't high and their usefulness for destress decreases as the enemy count does.

Pretty sure you can toggle it whenever, the problem is it stresses people the fuck out and if you leave it on everyone will fucking lose it.

I have literally never used the Abomination's transform. I just have him spam the chain-whip stun.

Many fall in the face of chaos; but not this one, not today

This is the real way to play abomination. Strong self heal, excellent stun, blight (I guess...). I only transfprm him if th wrest of my party is dead, or my frontliner dies.

>heal
>stun
or you could just kill everything in 3 turns and be done

>Houndsmaster gets Deviant Tastes

I don't wanna know the implications of that

>start game with DLC
>nerfs the fuck out of stress healing buildings
What the fuck is this bullshit?

Cutest most perfect hero in this gif

He's fine being with the guy outside of combat casually, but is too spooked by his demon transformation since he's a good Christian boy.

my go-to hero in deleting any enemy desu
them stuns
them blights
that stab

Why are my skins fucked up now?

> even when afflicted with selfish, he puts his dog before himself
> hug doggo to heal
> pet doggo for stress relief

Best class.

owo wats dis?

*crits*

>Abom transforms
>pets Abom
>stress heal

Redhook pls

I want to sniff Plague Doctor's armpits

im new to Sup Forums why is the video games board talking about mf doom?

...

This game is one of those that I wish i liked but I fucking hate RNG.

Ripostes my boy
He spams weak aoes several times per round so if you get a highwayman and do tracking shot and ripostes you'll kick his ass

>The dead reviving the dead on and on down the years
>forever

Fuck I like the way you think

>MaA
>Healer
>Highwayman
>Highwayman

Pointblank shot would damage the pyre reliably enough too

>Muh RNG

Post yfw the first time a hero came out virtuous

is the that grave robber, highwayman, bounty hunter?

or is that crusader

Many fall in the face of chaos

Not this one

NOT TODAY

Yes, it's highwayman

highwayman, you can see his coat on the chair

How exactly does the crimson curse thing in the DLC work?

I know it can be managed with random Blood drops, but can the disease ever actually be removed?

>ANGER IS POWER-
>UNLEASH IT.

>mfw Chris's next promo art shows the PD unmasked, revealing her cute lips and hair

If anyone in the game needs a good head pat it's the Abom.
He's had a hard life.

>I see something different in the faces of the passersby
>a glimmer...
>of hope.

it kind of upsets me that even when you "Win", you don't. I understand that Eldritch horror relies on things being beyond your comprehension, beyond your control, but it makes the entire journey feel worthless when it ends up just being a cycle

Works for literature, it doesn't work so well for me in video games.

>having a shit time during the first necromancer mission
>crusader is nearly at 100 stress, worried because afflicted heroes have always fucked me over thus far
>enter necromancer room
>the very first thing to happen is the necro critting my crusaderboy
>ohshitohshitohshitohsh-
>ANGER IS POWER, UNLEASH IT!

Yes.

with steel and flame

>Destruction is all I can give to this world!

See, there's something I don't get. By the end of the game, it's sufficiently clear that he's given in to the corruption of the eldritch horrors beneath the surface. But every single one of his lines implies that he's rooting on you, relying on your team to destroy evil and cleanse the area, and restore the town to its former glory.

So which is it? Where is this inconsistency coming from?

>These creatures can be felled, they CAN be beaten!

It becomes alot more hopeful if you mastered the game and managed to get to the end with no deaths not even against the heart which is possible. You basically deny edlridtch horror by having a bunch of pathetic mortals curbstomp everything in their path.

i thought it was to awaken the heart of darkness. all the shit the player does quickens the cycle and thus eventually reach the end.

He's gone crazy. It's also pretty clear that he doesn't root for you always. See

>How quickly the tide turns

There are also plenty of times where he mocks you.

He's luring you to come closer to the abyss. He wants you to touch what lies Beneath The Manor

Once you do, you become irreversibly corrupted, as shown by the flashes you experience in the hamlet. He wants you to venture into the darkest dungeon not to win,
but to continue the cycle.

Alternatively, the Heart of Darkness just uses him to make you feel helpless, like the Shamblers in HP Lovecraft taking forms of loved ones.

Doesent all the bloodshed strenghten it?
Could be that he is rooting for you in an attempt to decieve you to sacrifice more people to the horrors.

Best hero quote when virtuous
>"I care not, therefore I am immortal"

He's lying to you and trying to make you send as many people to their death as possible.

>tfw when you "accidentally" the whole estate

the heroes are all so damaged, a heroic sacrifice is the best outcome for them

Jolland the Leper at TBFP;s LP of Darkest Dungeon is the hypest shit ever.

Send this one to journey elsewhere, for we have need of sterner stock.

I sort of get this, but you can make a deathless run (hard, but possible even against the HoD). Does ANY wanton bloodshed help awaken the thing and accelerate the end? I would at least imagine successfully clearing all the corrupted creatures would be an effective way of at least delaying the worst possible situation.

This makes a bit more sense to me, but you could just an hero and stop it, post-DD.

journey>destination user, though to be fair they probably staved off the great horror for another few generations or even centuries. Take it more as a positive note that it's awakening is a perpetual benchmark for humanity's survival.
