Skyrim final battle

skyrim's main story sucks donkey ass

...

Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout 4.
Well, anything Bethesda made.

Warhammer 40.000: Space Marine

Yakuza 6 is trash

Any western final boss

you dropped this

Heavy artillery coming in.

marauder shields

...

>Expecting something like a MP match where the other "player" has a bit more health or some kind of gimmick
>Realize it may be three on one for once
>Nope, just fight some waves of easy enemies and mash buttons as a dumb cinematic takes places

>oh boy this is going to be fun
>summons akatosh and you do fuck all
Nice cockblock Bethesda

...

No problem, be sure to pick up a new copy of Fallout 4, & skyrim.

When I was younger I thought this scene was amazing but after replaying Oblivion a couple times I can never even MAKE it to the main quest
Side quests are just so much better
I was so buttblasted at this when I first played it

looks pretty cool

...

>make a completely halfassed game for "improved" graphics and physics
>everyone flies a million miles away when you hit them and everyone looks plastic

...

I played both of these games for fucking ages over the years, and so many times I decided "This time I'll complete the story"

not even once have I seen either final boss.

Oblivion?

morrowind had a great climax
talking with dagoth ur and asking him his plans for the future, his motivations and feelings, his account of what happened at red mountain and then him turning the questions on you was amazing

this. OH WOW ANOTHER DRAGON!/!? EPIC DUDE

...

>final fight is almost exactly the same as when you fought him before
>that awful fucking "twist"

Fuck everyone who memes this game.

game had shit boss fights in general but this was boring as fuck

This
Fuck that was disappointing

I liked that though

I liked Skyrim story.
Time travel shenanigans are always welcome in my book.

You dare mock me.

>Time travel
Fuck off, 5 minutes cutscene does not count as time travel. It looks like ass too.

Ratchet & Clank 2 in general is amazing but fuck the last boss fight. Ridiculously easy and short.

What? Im not talking about some specific scene or graphic effects you cinematic cunt.
I just enjoy the whole idea. Its very easy to understand and ties in with the lore, even if they stretch like always.

Didn't stop me from replaying it constantly.

Same here. I spend more time restarting games now rather than playing them.

Both ganon fights were terrible.
Like not bad, just god awful battles.

Me neither. Still was a disappointing climax to an otherwise great game.

WoW: Cataclysm

You give Deathwing a manicure.

nah

...

marauder shields

dude, telefrag, lmao

Came here to post this. Great game but the end was a letdown.

>Time travel shenanigans

Out of all the time travel shit skyrim could've done with the lore it has at it's disposal and the fact that dragons (divine time machines that men and mer can only comprehend as big scaly assholes) have suddenly come back to tamriel, they stick with the use of an elder scroll screen to watch a 'cutscene'

Do you even know whom you face?

Looking back on it, the BG2 story wasn't that amazing. Irenicus' voice actor was fucking god tier though.

Have you played Throne of Bhaal? I enjoyed that story much more than the shadow of amn storyline.

fuck I hated this garbage.

Get out

pleb tastes

Every climax in every western game not made under supervision by Japanese developers (Such as N64 era Rare)

>play NG+
>get to Anor Londo and make his sword
>doesn't burst into flames in any point of its moveset
>overall shit weapon

I wouldn't call it a shitty boss fight, but Diablo from Diablo 3. Kicked his ass my first time through the game while still playing on a fairly high difficulty (can't remember what the difficulty was exactly, might've been master)

>inb4 I should've been on torment

Most of Diablo 3 felt really easy my first time through. I was hoping Mathael would be tougher, but he went down like a bitch too. It wasn't until my second playthrough that at least Mathael was a bit of a challenge.

>niggurath
What did John Carmack mean by this?

You must hate the fun and video games user. This is probably the most immersive boss i had for at least last 10 years. Perfect song, perfect lore and fine designed boss (i disliked how easy he is when you know how to parry and i would prefer to have at least one or two extra stages of fighting with him, but lore-wise it was explained why he wasnt especially strong). I cried for the first time since i was a kid in vidya at that boss fight.

It was a different time.

I was honestly shocked at how short and terrible Shadow of Mordor's was

>I cried for the first time since i was a kid in vidya at that boss fight
lol what a pussy

>Carmack
Lovecraft lovecraft.wikia.com/wiki/Shub-Niggurath

You jelly that i had REAL immersive experience?

Romero probably thought yeah, sure, a lovecraft thing, that's cool right? yeah slap it in there and let's deathmatch American! meanwhile Carmack was busy sacrificing a goat to 5th dimensional overlords to grant him the mathematical prowess beyond human comprehension and a curse baked into the very discs themselves was the ultimate price.

DON'T STOP-

Icon of Sin in Doom II

I kind of liked it, for what it was. Sort of showed that he was just a regular dude in the end. But I suppose an actual boss would have been cool.

I want to play this right now, sounds so fucking cool
How shitty is it by Sup Forums standards? destroy my hopes and dreams

...

Needs more eldritch and cats hplovecraft.com/writings/texts/essays/cd.aspx

Idk, way back when it seemed pretty cool. Personally I think Skyrims was a lot worse.

I mean Witcher 3 is the greatest RPG of all time but fuck this boss """"""""""""""""""""fight""""""""""""""""""""""""""

youtube.com/watch?v=hf99Nr1CphE

It's quite cool and unique
Goes a bit overboard with the "oooooh look at how weird our world is!!" at times but overall it's good
A bit short but that's not an issue considering it costs 2 bucks right now

Fable 2.

What the hell were they thinking?

learn the lore idiots

4 hour game which teases a huge twist the entire way through. In the end when you beat the final "boss", it is revealed that he was actually a tranny.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution
KOTOR 2 combat-wise.
Doom 3
Fable

>Witcher 3 is the greatest RPG of all time

Sauron QTE

half-life

>parrying bosses on your first playthrough

>I spend more time restarting games now rather than playing them.
Feels bad, man

fucking soulsdrones

Everything from HoneySelect

Fuck off Gothic-kun. Nobody cares about your kraut shovelware.

AMEN

Borderlands

How has no-one mentioned it yet?

I don't even know what that is, the Best (W)RPG of all time is Fallout 2.

Half life 2 final sucks ass

I liked oblivion's final battle, what were you expecting? Mortals can't fight daedric princess, did you expect to fight mehrunes Dagon.

WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?
This wasn't an aspect of mehrunes Dagon or some avatar, this was Dagon fully incarnate, he is an Et'Ada, mortals literally can not fight him if he is in his plane in full form and nirn was almost his plane at that point.

>Muh story
Suck a dick. Story exists to serve gameplay.

>kill an Old God
>banish an Elemental Lord
>defeat a Lich
>kill a pair of sibling black dragons

>take out a rogue Mage
>TROLLS MON
>stop a demonic Night Elf
>kill a demon commander
>remove a giant
>foil the demon lieutenant
>stop the Lich again

>kill the leader of the Blue dragons
>kill another Old God
>kill the female dragon sibling again
>defeat the Lich King

>re-kill the dragon siblings
>kill another Elemental Lord
>kill the Elemental Lord you had previously banished
>kill a two-headed ogre mage
>kill the consort of the black dragon leader
>

>squash a bug
>outsmart an ancient stone statue pair
>defeat totally-not-Parallax
>overthrow the ancient king of the land that stole power from a Titan
>kill that Titan anyway
>kill a nigger orc with leprosy

>ogre mage (one head this time!)
>niggerer orc
>large blue demon

>satyr mage
>octopussy
>decrepit old orc
>demon lieutenant rehash

I love WoW but the "threats" became overhyped after 'World of Warcraft: Deathwing's Spa Day"'

Shadow of Mordor
>last boss is a short QTE

I think its kind of supposed to be, you go in expecting the lord of sunlight but instead fight a miserable husk of what he once was. and if DS3 is anything to go by its not even gwyn at all.

that final fight was so disappointing

That's not true, both exist to deliver a unified vision and experience.
Gameplay doesn't exist, combat, leveling, exploration and story/interactivity are all part of the same thing.
The best games are where it's all unified and internally consistent

I liked shadow of mordor's final battle, what were you expecting? Mortals can't fight maia, did you expect to fight saurons shadow.

>inb4 butthurt gothicfags

Just about every other boss in the game is more memorable and fun than this fight, especially two giant bosses you have to fight before him. Would have been far more climactic to have another Evil Ryu style fight against Murai instead of the half-assed monster fight.

>if DS3 is anything to go by its not even gwyn at all.

Oh boy, this should be good. Explain how that isn't Gwyn

Who here sacrificed the fat red headed bitch?

I love playing Botw and the bosses are honestly the worst thing about it.

Bullshit, the original DS2 boss was far worse with the curse shit every 10 sec
