Help, how do I fix my beach? I don't want it like this.
Help, how do I fix my beach? I don't want it like this
I take it you must be from India
Dump your poo away from the beach?
THERE'S SHIT EVERYWHERE
That’s a feature of some cities
Even if stop dumping sewage it won't go away. This game makes you live with the consequences.
Follow these instructions:
1. Find a spot well away from the populated sector, preferably high in the mountains. If possible, have the canal lead outside of the city bounds.
2. Build a section of canal.
3. Dump your waste into the canal.
Try sanding it down.
It will go away, it just takes a long ass time.
buy more land and dump it away from the beach
>dump sewage into the river upstream from the beach
>wonder why the beach is full of shit
are you retarded?
DESIGNATED
Do you have to dump your shit into a river in this Game? Are there no Purification Plants?
>not moving your sewage as far away from you as your borders allow until you get purifier
Purification is a higher level tech, so you have to start off dumping your shit.
That's not true, it eventually fades.
Anyway, OP, get a mod that changes the colour of the pollution. The purple pollution always looked retarded, there's a mod on the workshop that changes it to a more subtle brown. Doesn't affect gameplay.
Also, get rid of that gay ass twitter bird, what are you doing? There was a mod to get rid of him like 10 minutes after the game came out.
fuck sake
It takes time and current.
You did look at the current right? It needs to be carried out to sea.
You could have put them as far fown as possible
I'll actually do that now
what game is this so I can avoid this liberal cuckery like the plague
>+13K dollarydoos
>a city that size
You aren't cheating, are you user?
is this true user
>get rid of that gay ass twitter bird
I have a mod that stops the chirping, but retains the bird so I can still click on it and read bullshit if I so desire.
Slightly off topic here, but I was always extremely impressed by the fluid physics in this game, and how well it would run even when making tsunamis and shit. I think it must be due to the water being basically a 2D heightmap, as opposed to anything 3D, but it works, and it works really well.
I just want to know; why has this sort of physics never ever been leveraged? Why is stuff like global warming, dam building/busting, shit like that, never a mechanic? And why wasn't it hyped up at all? You could convince me to buy a game based on the merits of its water physics. I think Battlefield One does this too, but it literally never becomes useful or worth exploiting, even if you can. Fuck, I just want to play with water physics and sweep tanks away and shit.
It's called India Simulator 2018. One of the big selling points is its realistic shitting-in-rivers simulation.
cringe
yep
managment is boring
>managment is boring
DELOT YOUR LIFE
Fluid physics kinda shit themselves when there's a massive change in water level, e.g. you remove a dam holding a ton of water back.
I'm more surprised why do people still play without unlimited money.
It's a freaking management game. It's the central concept, and selling point.
It's a Paradox game so you should already be avoiding it
some of us actually like "playing" these games, not just turning them into poop farms.
OP should turn his town into a poop swamp for lulz
put that cheat money to use and build a poop dam
>tsunamis
wew lad
a challenge
its boring
just want to build some things and unistall it
I know nothing but I hatefollow SJWs and they hate Paradox because the guy they put in charge of White Wolf isn't exactly SJW-friendly. I think they call him an edgelord, pretty funny, considering fucking VAMPIRE KIDS.
not him but I have never found this game to be a challenge, after the initial 30 minutes, you can start raking in 5k per week easily
all unlimited money does is skip the initial 30 minutes and let you play the fucking game
Money is a central concept of Cities Skylines? HAH. Have you played the game? Traffic is the central point, money is easy as fuck to get, but forces you to build GRIDS if you want to be efficient.
There's no challenge in getting money in Cities Skylines. Not once I was in the negatives, despite completely remaking my cities from scratch. It's a time waster at best and a progress stopper at worst.
You've founded Shit Creek.
you honestly have to be a real idiot to go into the negatives, most of the time if you're in the negatives you have too many services or you're paying too much for useless shit like water and energy meters
I said management. Do you not manage your traffic?
I play with money on because it influences how I develop my city. If I have a deficit of educated plebs then I may use the education boost policy and offset the cost by upping taxes on heavy industry. If I want to boost happiness in an area then I may create a small leisure district and make all business there tax free to encourage them to develop.
tl'dr it's more fun.
>but forces you to build GRIDS if you want to be efficient.
lol no. Hierarchy of roads is far, far superior to grids. Grids have their place, but if you're using them accross your entire city you're doing it wrong.
Just place more sewage plant at south west. The beach will shrink to rocky terrain.
How the FUCK do I get past this shit?
how the fuck do I join the highways they always end up getting clogged with traffic REEEE
>Hierarchy of roads
pill me on this
I manage everything, except money, because there's nothing to manage here. That's why money is a stupid ass concept in Cities, it forces you to play the same shit over and over and over. "City growth", aka unlock system is another concept that severely punishes player that wants to play out of the dumbass loop of building suburbias for hours before he can actually start building the city he wants.
>Hierarchy of roads is far, far superior to grids.
I know how to build the efficient city, I'm not saying that everywhere should be grids, but on local level they are far more efficient when it comes down to services and general traffic than anything else. Every 2-3 roads you build an aveniue and you separate districts with highways or 4-6 lanes along with dumbass roundabouts at every intersection, but it fucking sucks. It fucking sucks after playing the game for more than 20 hours, this is not management, this is optimization.
kys
Roundabouts EVERYWHERE
I'm not cheating. I'm playing the taxes and budgets for max profit. Don't even touch the loans
also lots of idle time
Just put the sewer pumps on the other side of the river, or somewhere else, mind the water flow
>he doesn't have the entire florida turnpike as a build option
uhm wow sweetie if your turnpike isn't an entire city square just stop playing
I usually do this. But I'm trash at this game and it'll probably end up clogged eventually so use it as a temporary solution..
That's actually a good plan if you're keeping it rural only. The real challenge is trying to figure out a highway exit solution for city traffic
Start building to either side of the highway to give you space to extend it as your city grows and put in proper junctions.
That's a decent start. As long as you add more highway connections as it grows you should avoid any major problems.
en.wikipedia.org
en.wikipedia.org
>highways are the arteries of the city
>six lane and four lane roads branch off highways and travel through districts, ideally connecting with other highways in mutliple places
>two lane streets connect to six lane and four lane roads and are where most buildings are. these streets are mostly dead ends with lots of footpaths connecting them. junctions between two lane streets are larger roads should have traffic lights removed and replaced with stop signs on the street (so traffic on major road has priority)
Move the dump pipes to the right of the beach.
There's really only 2 rules to it.
1. Avoid dumping shit in rivers.
2. If you have to dump shit in rivers, do it as downstream as possible because the current spreads it around.
Spam purification plants once you get them.
Is there a two lane road mod that doesn't have the fucking concrete divider in the middle? Is there a road mod that adds YELLOW stripes in the road like we have in AMERICA? I'm sick of these pussy European roads with no yellow lines.
Underrated comment.
Overrated comment.
Get a room and make out already.
That map kind of blows. I recently played it and had the same issue. Just relocate the sewage facilities to the end of the newly purchased title near the end of that small island, and they'll drift away out of the screen mostly. Additionally, the better facilities you get later that actually filter the sewage result in considerably less poo poo outside the loo.
It'll fade over time.
But what triggers me more is the fuckhuge fucking beach area. Where the fuck does that even exist? You can't create cool beach areas and shit when the fucking sandy beach is like a kilometer long towards inland. Building on the sand feels a bit wrong.
On a mostly unrelated note, I accidentally caused a tsunami larger than the ones the game disasters do, and without a dam no less.
I wanted to expand my city into the huge river nearby and decided to raise the land out of its western bank while somewhat equally lowering the eastern one. I also built a natural flood wall of sorts at the very edge. It was a huge displacement, and I had the game paused the whole time.
Finally done, I unpause the game. Everything seemed fine at first and I went on building things, but suddenly the water started spawning INSIDE the floodwall. It started creeping towards my city and shortly thereafter the fucking river water level rose above the goddamn wall and caused a fuckhuge wave that destroyed the entire city.
At that point I had no knowledge of the way the water worked in the game in terms of water sources, but in retrospect, there was probably a water source right in the middle of the new land expanse.
You don't really have to manage shit when it comes to money. Whenever I wanted to build something cool I just made some boring dollarydoo farm grid city at the edge of the map that I left running for hours on max speed, browsing 4chins and glancing at it every now and then to see that nothing is terribly wrong. Then, when I had a few millions in bank, I started building whatever actual city I wanted to build.
I find it painfully easy to make money past the very beginning where you can actually fail if you fuck something up. I'm also not good at older citybuilders so it's not like I'm some autist savant of citybuilding.
>Get a positive income budget
>Goof around naming districts and streets and so on
>"oh wow there did all this cash come from? :D"
Yo Sup Forums, recommend me some good mods please. Just bought this off Steam sale.
Get stuff that gives you more control over traffic, I think it's called presidential something
shut it libtard
I got you senpai
>Is there a road mod that adds YELLOW stripes in the road like we have in AMERICA?
i don't see the problem here, looks normal
