Everyone who has played it has said the game plays as good as Colors and Generations. The only main thing people are split on is the avatar character. Only one person has actually said the game is bad and that was the guy from Nintendo Life who played the worst version which was on the Switch.

What? First i've heard of that. The game will have special stages so I can't imagine it not having at least a super form. I'm worried Tails and Knuckles won't have one either.
Story in Sonic is fine if kept at the level Sonic 3 & Knuckles had it, silent, short moments that punctuate a stage transition.
