>every item in the game has a in-depth description
>game has a autistic attention to detail to something, even though most players won't notice it
I fucking love shit like this.

>Game giving you features that allow for convenience but don't make the game play too unbalanced.
>Can force my AI allies to put all of their forces in one position to help defend or assist me in a gigantic battle
>Can establish sector outposts so I can jump in as many ships as I can to any sector that's currently under attack
What games other than obvious series you're referring to does this?
any From Software game.
High interactivity with npc's. Think of the grunts in Titanfall, I genuinely love that shit and wish games would do it more often.
Silencers/Suppressors done right.
For period of 12 years, there was only one game that made Silencer/Suppressor right, and it war Return to castle Wolfenstein. Memorable Sten Mk Silenced. Worst Suppressors I encounter with were in Metal Gear Solid V GZ/TPP. Suppressors in this game were completely fucked up.
But I just sai-
Oh, their other games have that too? I thought this was Miyazaki's thing.
It is a miyazaki thing
other games don't have it.
king's field has basic descriptions like any other rpg
Healing potion - it's a healing potion
sword - it's an iron sword
etc.
it's really just souls games that do that, not even his other games like armored core 4/4a
After hearing real guns fired with suppressors I can only get mad when I hear the little *plink plink* sounds from Spy movies.
>Friendly NPCs have a reasonable surviveability and are useful.
>Play through Halo 1 levels and the Marines are still alive and kicking ass
>Leave two ODSTs behind me with some enemy ghosts in 2 and they somehow managed to capture them and come back to me.
>Fighting royal elite guards with energy swords
>Marine gets up and personal to him with an SMG
>Elite swings at him
>Marine ducks and fills him full of lead
More games need to do this, it makes you feel like you're actually fighting alongside competent allies.
I always loved the way Metal Gear handeled weapons
>Drebin hands Sunaiku a rifle
>he partially disassembles it and inspects it as they talk
It's not about sound, but about mechanic. In RtcW system was based on heating up. Short bursts were necessary to shoot eficiently, and longer bursts were risky. In games like CoD Suppressors needs to hit your shoot range and damage, what its completly bullshit. Instead of making one true system based on heating, and make player think how he shoot, devs taking 2 attributes that silencer actually making better irl.
Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 does this for items. Even magical items have a little short story like the gender bender belt.
>game allows you to interact with your environment in a way that makes logical sense
>it utilises this to stow away secret paths and unique items/scenes for those who're paying attention to the game world.
Golden.
I don't even care if makes sense or not, but I love when games allow me to double jump.
bonus points if the second jump forms a flip.
Name it, my man.
Infinity Engine games.
...
...
Zelda is pretty much the one series that does this well to any great extend.
...
>do something to get pass a level or boss unconventionally
>the game calls you out for being a cheeky lil shit
...
...
Detailes anuses on 3D models.
...
My first tought. Just hoped there would be another game with similar mechanics.
...
>playing the game on hard again changes the type of enemies you encounter
basically what Platinum does a lot
...
...
...

>NG+/replay game
>npcs have vague memory of meeting you before
>Infiltrate the enemy base
>Read emails of enemy mercs/soldiers bitching about their superiors and each other
What game?
If there was I'm pretty sure I would have heard of it, because none of the so-called Zelda-like games have much of anything of the sort.
Dumb weeb
>game encourages you to kill things wantonly
>guns feel satisfying as fuck to use
>you move fast and are constantly in motion so it feels fast pace
>you just bring endless carnage on everything
It's a nice break from games that make everything morally gray. I've been in the mood to just kill evil things for catharsis.
Icewind Dale 2
This is just a handful of magic items. Every normal item has descriptions too. Infinity Engine games are notorious for their descriptions of two or three dozen different types of gems
>main character from a previous game is mentioned in the sequel
Alright I'm bored now
>Normal enemies fear you
I enjoyed rifling through people's emails in Deus Ex
any series that does this aside from metal gear?
>Once you have a rep, normal enemies will try to engage you...
>Then take one look at your face and suddenly remember they left the oven on!
Also
>When enemies are what they are and don't level with you
>You're a four-star badass who eats dragon-steaks for dinner, but the same ruffians still spawn
>You had trouble with these losers once. Now you're twisting heads off and feeling like a GOD
Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis system. Got this guy five times. Fucked with him before going to Nurn and learning about branding to do some Ururk political shenanigans, and ended up killing him eventually. Then he comes back again, and then again, and then a total of five times before I clean up Udun and head into Nurm.
Flash foward to mission where you kill The Tower, I've got my posse of brainwashed Ururk Chiefs, all cool and swaggin and shit. We land at the fortress, AND PIC RELATED IS RIGHT FUCKING THERE, HOURS OF GAMEPLAY LAYER, WAITING TO GREET ME AGAIN!
Shit was so fucking cash, I want to find him in the Nemesis forge so I can fight him again in Shadow of War.
>main character from the previous game is one of the main characters in the sequel
>antagonist from a previous game is the protagonist of the prequels
Dead Rising
The amount of details and little things inside each and every store is fucking insane
Ah I remember I think gothic 1 was it where enemy humans would flee when the differente between player and enemy was high enough. Made the Endhaltestelle massacre a bit tedious.
>every character has a bio, even the mailman
Sims 3
>you have to play through past areas before fighting the (past) boss
Kirby's Dreamland is an example
>literally everything you can do in the game is a skill
Rune Factory
>main character from previous game is a boss
>game has upgrades to your clothes/suit
>they change their color without changing the design too much or at all
Zelda and Metroid are the obvious examples. What other games do this?
>item descriptions
>great written dialogue
>pun characters
I appreciate the effort that the localization team at capcom or whatever put in each time a Monster Hunter game comes over. Considering that in japanese (iirc) the felynes only append their dialogue with -nyaa.
Dragon Age Origins did it pretty well.
>Certain weapons' description is a part of a poem so you'll complete it if you craft all the weapons
I was happy to see the flashly main menu animations the first time I saw them in P5. Before the game came out I had actually hoped the protag would put his hand to the screen like in the pic everytime you paused the game. Is there any other game where PAUSING the game is cool?
What game?
Age of mythology.
You could click shit on the map like do different trees and animals and it would tell you all kinds of info you don't need in a RTS.
In GoldenEye 007 James looks at his watch.
>100+ playable characters
any games like this other than timesplitters?
>all the characters in an online game play similarly enough to where no one character has an unfair advantage but different enough to where they all have their own niche uses and slightly different ways that they're meant to be played
Friday the 13th and Rainbow Six: Siege did this perfectly and I love it.
So, using "autistic" instead of detailed or precise is the new "cuck" word of Sup Forums?
>every item's illustration/3d model can be viewed, rotated and maybe even interacted with in the game
I love this, what other games do this other than MD and MGS3/4/5?
Lurk moar.
>new
Fuck off newfag
Suikoden
>new
found the cuck
m.youtube.com
I really wish they kept this shit for TitanFall 2.
>3d model can be viewed and rotated
>there's indents on the writing and not just a flat texture
tasty pic user
>Final boss is your rival
>Your rival uses the same moves and attacks as you
>But they're all stronger versions
Love that shit
Skyrim
Spec maps are just a flat texture on a texture, but they look nice.
>The characters that appear in the main menu and what they are wearing all depends on where you are in the story
I like little touches in games
Resident evil 1's double remaster. Its actually a requirement for even beating the game. I only know of the game's presence on ps4.
Escape from Tarkov does this with every single item in the game.
reddit game who cares
>every item in the game has a in-depth description
>game has a autistic attention to detail to something, even though most players won't notice it
oh fuck, I love this too.
Is there any game that has read-able ammo boxes?
Playable Boss Characters. especially when they have their own move-set and weapons
>you can customize every attack and combo
>you can cancel every animation
>very fast sidesteps
>long time rival character finally gets a protagonist role
>they have their moves you've always wanted to try oit
>or better yet, long time protagonist is an NPC who will fight you
>they use all the moves you've learned over the years
Resident Evil 4 and 5.
>boss can counter your attack
You can counter their counter
>get defeated
>get impregnated by the enemy
I remember Violated Heroine
>"I am immune to your bullets'"
>"So am I."
>"NANI?!?"
>Game allows you to create a loli character
>There's a height limit on weapons and gear making the game legitimately harder as a result
>You get deeper discounts on gear and items though because you're so cute
yeah, senpai, what game?
>Dual special attacks
Name one game that does this.
Gee, it would have been nice to understand what the fuck is written there but you just had to put the game in your monkey BR language, didn't you?
>Defeat boss
>OH SHIT THIS PLACE IS GOING TO EXPLODE GET THE FUCK OUT
AOBA ISN'T A LOLI
SHE'S A FULL GROWN WOMAN
>characters start glowing/gain an aura when their power meter is full
I fucking enjoyed how much the marines could take in terms of damage.
3 speed :^)
>you get to stop a convoy
>can set up mines and blockades
CoH and Watch Dogs were alright in these
