This post makes me wonder if there's some kind of text-based online D&D game. Where you create a persistent character and jump in and out of sessions. Text based, where the only real programming function is dice rolls. I guess instant messaging would fulfil the function, but it would be hard to make sure rolls are honest remotely. Seems like a simple idea, surprised something like it isn't popular. Maybe I should check with /tg/.

You could always try Roll20. They have text only games if you're afraid of talking to strangers like me, though I've never personally joined a random's campaign there.

Something like discord would be great, but it would be even cooler if your profile could be automatically updated with stats. I guess we're getting into some advanced programming though since session specific DMs would need to approve EXP and inventory changes/updates per session as you leave since you probably wouldn't have the same DM in your next session.

Just keep an eye out for a new thread like this one, if this one does die before I get it completely set up.

You can have characters ready if you want. The module also provides some premades. If you have your own, be prepared to transfer info over to your character sheet.

I dont have a mic readily available but i might be able to come up with something. i think text would work better over my internet though, its pretty bad.
