hey i really liked endless legend, what other tile-clicking simulators should I play
4X
Other urls found in this thread:
If you haven't played Civ V then definitely get then next time its on sale with all the DLC
I actually just bought that and am installing it as I type this alongside MGSV with Infinite Heaven
Is there a tutorial in Civ V? I had someone teach me Endless Legend and I already knew some of the mechanics from playing Dungeon of the Endless
SMAC
Endless Space 2 gonna make for the smoothest transition into something else
endless space 2 isn't really a tile clicker but it is a 4x and probably the best 4x i've played in years.
i preordered civ 6 and played 1 game and never touched it again. civ 6 is not a good game.
>Preordering games
>Playing civ games before all the dlc are released
I actually don't know if it has a tutorial.
Everything I know is from playing with friends that know how to play
Civ 6 is fucking great and its base is just as good as 5 with all DLC, you suck ass at it thats al
but the thing is all the marketers were saying "it's got religion it's got espionage it's got all the stuff from all the civ 6 expansions best launch ever!"
nah i'd rather go play civ 5 (and i'd rather play civ 4 than 5 desu)
Well shit
I just spent like ten hours teaching myself Tekken in order to play Tekken 7 and despite being semi-competent at the game (i.e being Initiate) it was still a struggle. I guess i'll just have to get someone to teach me how to play
Never trust. Never.
there's a tutorial, btw civ 6 is much more fun (with mods)
>tfw one of your mods get over 100 downloads in the steam workshop
>10 hours
>thinks he can play Tekken now
that's adorable
I didn't say "competent", I said "semi-competent". I can play the game, but I am nowhere near being able to "play" the game. You feel me?
You can smash buttons like a 3 year old. But can't win against the AI.
I dropped about 100 hours into Tekken and I wouldn't even consider myself semi-competent is what I'm sayin'
If you are new to fighting games then don't start on Tekken.
I've played fighting games as long as I remember and after jumping into T7 with a lot of technical knowledge of fighting games I still need to spend hours and hours in practice to learn one character
44 Hours in T7 and I can't get out of Expert
Endless Legends is pretty much the best tile-clicking 4x on the market. Civ 6 stole some good things from it, but until the required 2 DLC to fix everything, just play Endless Legends mate.
what is there to fix in civ 6?
>He doesn't know
Master of Magic.
Not as much tile clicking though.
Skip straight to the best one.
muh AI? I'm not too much on a warmonger so idc
apart from that it's fine
Isn't that just Civ in space?
for nostalgiafags, yes
also shit coloured beyond salvation with retarded controls
nope
No, not really. Beyond Earth (which was supposed to be its spiritual successor) is though.
>Beyond Earth
nah that's civ V: SJW edition
>BE is civ in space
nope
It's hardly SJW to have leaders of different races in your game, especially when they're supposed to represent continents.
:^)
oh you were trolling me?
well played you got me
the hijab woman who's also the quote presenter has a SJW voice
EL is 10/10 for its soundtrack alone
youtu.be
This 4 = 6 >> 5 >>>>>> 3
civ 4 is shit mate
this. best Civ like 4x game out there.
Any mods I should add to Civ4?
nah, the implication was you were.
But you being too stupid to get that fits well with the rest of your posting.
oh you were serious
Then you're just retarded and still wrong
...
I have no idea what this is communicating to me. Is it feature bloat?
>bloat
You know what? This bullshit right here made me realize Sup Forums is dead.
>game has tons of content and variety
>this is somehow bad
I'm not sure.
I think it's just interesting to know.
Over 400 units and it's still shit compared to HoMM III. Really makes you think!
t. HoMM baby that didn't learn the combat system and thinks sending 9000 skeletons is strategy
I legitimately liked Civ:beyond earth and it's one of my favorites, everyone shits on it because it's not alpha Centauri 2 but it's still great
With 1 more expansion pack it could have been amazing. Now I'm afraid they'll never touch the concept again.
>everyone shits on it because it's not alpha Centauri 2 but it's still great
Naeh.
I shit on it because it's basically a faulty civ5mod which I assumed it would be.
The devs were bad at the genre, so they didn't realize how insanely overpowered trade routes were. Probably only played 4trad in civ5, and then kept playing like that regardless of changing mechanics in BE so they didn't realize.
Hardest difficulty is way too easy.
Victories occur so early compared to how far you get in the tech web.
Equivalent is putting a science victory in civ5 in the renaissance.
Have they even acknowledged that BE exists recently?
...
BE is dead. No more expansions, no more patches.
I have to agree with you for most of those, but a lot of those issues could be and were modded out. The game itself had insane potential, but the devs completely forgot about it after they made rising tides
>tfw neither you nor the past 25 generations of your society has ever known what living on a planet is like
I really loved Endless Legend. My first recommendation would be to get the expansion packs for Endless Legend if you haven't already. Here are a few other similar games that I enjoyed.
>Stellaris
4x strategy game set in space made by the guys who did Crusader Kings and Victoria. Its progressed significantly since it was made over a year ago. Has a lot of similarities to Endless Legend.
>Galactic Civilizations III
Space faring 4x game that has a huge amount of ship customization.
Age of wonders was always the best series in my opinion. The first one is the best if you have a stomach for retro graphics. The second one isn't bad but its a bit of a cluster fuck and the third one borrows from Civ but its still good.
CivV is easier to learn the Endless legend. It's very straight forward and the factions are less unique.
I wonder if Firaxis will ever try another 4x space again.
>The Pretty
That's a shame, they dropped a lot of potential. the affinity system would done very well for a ideology system
its basically a broken game. cmon dawg. think about the things you spend time in
>the affinity system would done very well for a ideology system
I actually prefer the way how ES2 has every action/event influence the political ideology of your empire.
But Al, civ 6 is trash.
every single one, the ai becomes garbage at the endgame
>lol its broken bro
maybe you are just broken in the head lmao rekd
seriously the game's fine
Age of Wonders 3's combat looks like shit.
AoW 2 has these nice clear pixel castles, units move freely. AoW3 has stupid large hexagonal tiles, zigzagging walls...
And now that there are 300 unit types I'm sure the balance is just perfect, I wasn't able to play longer then a few hours though.
its really not. but if youre happy i guess thats fine.
yeah whatever man, your loss
