Final Bout was serviceable, but costing more than ten bucks at the time was a serious no-no.

But they could just replace it all with previously existing music like with the rest of the games with Yamamoto's scores.

You actually can fly on your own in Budokai 3. You dash forward or backwards until you're floating and hold up. It's not ideal, but it's better than the "not at all" in the first 2 games.

this never got released in europe, and I used to check ever day to see if it was being brought over. The idea of a dbz game in 3d was mindblowing. Luckily Tenkaichi came out the same year and I forgot about Sagas, so I never had to have my hype shattered by playing it

I was interested in getting the first one, but the price was 60 bucks and a friend told me it was cool. More or less almost a year later the price was reduced and i kinda was able to get cash and xenoverse 2 gets announced. The new DBZ game coming up looks AMAZING tho.

But like i said, i am a sucker for any non-VS fighting DBZ game.

Sagas at first glance doesn't look bad. When i was a kid and i played it i thought "this isn't mind blowing but this is ok".

The more i played it the more i began to dislike it. Boss battles were a kick in the nuts. Then i got to try budokai tenkaichi 3 and forgot about sagas. It was just a bad taste in my mouth.

It's actually my favorite. The last memorable 2D DBZ game, after that it went to 3D XYZ axis and I could never adjust to it. Hoping Fighter Z will bring my hype back for DBZ games.

As someone who played the fuck out of both XV2 and BT3, BT3 is much more complex.

Ki blast canceling is good for a cancel, but unless your enemy is stamina broken then you can't incorporate ki blasts into combos. You can however pause your chain in BT3 with a rapid-rise ki blast and link it into your chain.
There's also dash manipulation doing a straight dash towards your opponent and canceling it with rise/descend stores your momentum and keeps you from entering side-step distance, which allows you to Blast 2 safely or fake out your opponent and instantly fly behind them(which is normally only possible with a Dragon rush dash.)
Regarding guards, BT3 has mixups for high/mid/low guards. If you block high while your enemy does a FK or a ground slash, your going to get hit.

Raging Blast 2 takes it further with assault chases, which are slightly similar to XV2's unique strings, in the sense that certain characters naturally like different attacks together in a natural chain. BT3, not so much, each character is more or less just provided with a set of moves and some of the higher tier characters have an extra hit available somewhere.

XV2 is fun and if you're up against someone good it's nice to see who has the better tech, but the endurance of BT3 and the mind games of RB2 are leagues better in my honest opinion.

What I don't understand, why not just include Budokai 3 and Budokai Tenkaichi 3?
