They expect phone games to be Witcher 3 except on a phone.
Meanwhile, I can play most worthwhile roguelikes on the go and have kicked my MMO habit with F2P gachas.
They're usually shovelware, and if they're not they're filled with microtransactions.
Also, most genres just don't work on a phone. I think the only games I've tried on a phone that I thought worked well were puzzle games.
>kicking a bad habit with an even worse habit
I quit cigarettes by getting hooked on meth!
>worthwhile roguelikes
which ones?
>worse habit
I don't spend any money on gachas, meanwhile MMOs were hemorrhaging way more time and money
is that Peach's Castle in the background
Honestly RTS seems like a perfect fit with touch screen tech, is always hoped it would take off again with more powerful phones and tablets
But apparently the issue of most people being speds hasn't changed
People don't usually like the ones that are curated by the stores. If you do a good search, you will obviously find some great stuff.
Roguelikes, card games, puzzle games, SRPGs and VNs are great on mobile.
My favorites are Shattered Pixel Dungeon, NetHack, Sproggiwood (paid, got it in a humble bundle), and Red Rogue. Most of these aside from I guess NetHack would be considered medium roguelikes but they are much more mobile friendly than their more hardcore counterparts.
Also just downlaoded Buriedbornes which is some japanese rougelite, which isn't too bad.

>You lost this bullshit fight? wanna try out again for three lightnings? ;b
>Oops no lightnings? Checkout the store where you can buy crystals and use them to replenish your lightnings. ahah fun right? :b
>in alternative you can waste the ones you've been farming so far or wait several minutes until you can try again (timed even)
Well jeez user, I dunno.
F2P games are designed to waste even more of your time because they want you to pay to speed up progression.
wut, is this a skullgirls fighting game or a card game
fighting game with bad controls
I have never once paid in a f2p game so I guess I just have more self control than the target demographic.
t. played Hearthstone, Shadowverse, Eternal, FE Heroes, and other shit
Judge what I play.
Fighting rpg. It's the dame game but you have to level up the characters.
It's fucking bullshit and its up to the RNG what you get. I got about 6 Peascocks and I hate using that character. Meanwhile I only have one Valentine.
The fuck?
But here good mobile games outside of clash of clans and angry birds
Lara Croft Go is a pretty decent puzzle game.
i never leave my house so why would i need gamed on my phone
theyre also shit
this is legitimately terrifying
Even FE Heroes is more generous than that piece of shit
All I have on my phone right now is the Fallen London mobile app since my old one died not too long ago
XCOM Enemy Within mobile wasn't too bad, it just killed my battery, waiting patiently for NEO Scavenger mobile to come out
>No posting the name
who /marvelpuzzlefighter/ in here
...
Because they've never played a good one before.
I've always wanted to get into Puzzles and Dragons or MPF but I feel like jumping into these games fucking 4 or 5 years late is just a waste
It is a waste. With power creep so prevalent it's even more difficult to clear end game content when your roster is pitifully small. Unless you plan on paying out of your ears it's not worth installing.
t. asshole with 100 days logged in PAD
I said 100, but what I meant was 1000.
WHAT THE FUCK NECRODANCER IS ON MOBILE?
Because touch screen only controls will never ever be good.
I dunno man, Carmageddon's been pretty decent for a port.
Why would I play any mobile game ever when I can emulate every GBA/GBC game?
>only good mobile games are japanese only
Darkest Dungeon port when?

Not the guy you are replying to, but there's a game called Soul knight that is great for quick sessions
Several reasons
For starters there is NO quality control so you can have just about anyone make a game and put it on there, unfortunatley that ends up resulting in numerous clones or half-assed unplayable messes rushed to make a quick buck
Second, the heavy usage of Microtransations and mandatory PvP have resulted in the best players being the ones able to spend the most money instead of the ones with actual skill
Thirdly, A chunk of gaming markets have heavily shifted to mobile games in the past few years so it's quite annoying to hear that a new game in an older franchise you love so much is coming, only for it to be a Microtransaction heavy mobile game with no depth.
Just get the 3DS game, that one is bundled with the Super Mario version, you'll be spending less in the long run
