Good god, what the fuck were they thinking? I cant even see how many points I have in dodge, which seems kinda useful. Im playing thaumaturage btw, not sure if the stat screen is different for other classes, but my stat screen hardly gives me enough info

Those stats aren't important enough to worry about. As THM/BLM you care more about spell speed and direct hit.

They also don't exist anymore, chance to hit and dodge are tied directly to the difference in level between you and the thing you're hitting, rather than being based off the old evasion/accuracy stats.

What do I do as a sub-60 SMN between aetherflow cooldowns and when out of stacks? I feel like I'm doing fuckall damage. Do I have to time my shit like fester, bane, or painflare to align better with the cooldown or do I just burn everything away and ruin while maintaining my two DoTs until the cooldown's done?

Rouse/enkindle on cooldown, after that it's pretty much bio/miasma then ruin spam. If you use garuda, you can stack stuff on contagion dots and shadowflare during it but meh.

I'm sure you have plenty of mobs to DoT. Since Bane doesn't spread your DoTs at 100% to the mob, individually DoTing them after a Bane could take up a lot of time.

As a tank Aurum Vale is nice. As a healer it's pain never ending.

I already play limbo with tank hp to get as much use as possible out of the ast skill that has better potency lower the health.

Only 2.1-2.3 is boring. 2.4 and 2.5 are both great.

Dots are snapshot meaning if you apply them under contagion the 10% damage will apply until the dots run out. Doesn't apply to shadowflare but since it's on the same cooldown and is ogcd, you might as well time it.

SMN pre-70 got raped with the expansion, sorry. It used to be the most fun job to play, especially in AoE situations where they were the best job by a massive margin.

It's still a good and enjoyable job for single target boss fights at level 70, but only then. Which is like 1% of the content in the game right now. At least Omega is mostly single target.

What really upsets me is people are saying nu-smn is complex now. It isn't complex you retards it's just more punishing if you die. You aren't managing your attunements, you are not managing shadowflare uptime, you are managing one less dot and if you do the current accepted opener correctly you don't have to reapply your two dots manually until a minute or more after you start due to how they changed tri. They made it super fucking lazy and boring

The current SMN opener is a lot longer and more elaborate than the HW ones though. It has a little less oomph due to nerfed burst and Deathflare/Akh Morn being overused so it feels less special, but it's still pretty satisfying.
