What is this?

Combat is basically platinum-lite. If you played Bayonetta or a similar game you'll be familiar with it.

Where the game really shines is the attention to detail. There are so many little bits of polish and add ins that you can miss that really make the game, along with the main cast, story, GOAT tier soundtrack (not using that lightly), and just overall being a lot of fun. There aren't many enemy types but each of the main scenarios feels very handcrafted, and the presentation is absolutely superb.
There are tons of things you can miss or overlook as well that actually make you feel great for finding, for example hacking a certain boss 4 times in the you know what fight as 9S (actual spoiler, don't look it up)

Also, the game doesn't "end" at ending A - a better word for it would be Chapter A. It kills me that there are so many people out there who think that they beat the game after A, and the rest is just hunting for easter eggs to piece together clues. Not at all.

I can't recommend it enough. I went in thinking "oh yeah I know the twist already" but suffice to say I was immensely, pleasantly surprised to the point I completely forgot about fanservice, butts, and lewd after only a couple of minutes.

The hacking and slashing is pretty good, nothing fancy but pretty good. A fair amount of weapons you can mix and match (you can equip 2 weapons, one you control with square and the other with triangle). Also as long as you spam the dodge button, you won't get hit (most of the time).

There's also some bullet hell sections, I wasn't a fan of these. But I don't really care all that much for BH in general.

I really liked 9S' section and was surprised that so many people complained about it. He takes a little getting used to, but once you do get used to him, he's plenty of fun.The hacking fits into each fight as well and his mechanics outside of hacking are nice too, even if they're not as effective as 2B's. He's also overpowered as shit thanks to his hacking, so if part of the game is really bothering you, you can still get through it fairly quickly. The new sidequests and story content was nice too, though he could have done with more sidequests, in my opinion.
