What's next, are we going to have a Beep Block Skyway Wiki or a Super Mario 3D World Cat Bell Wiki?

Other urls found in this thread:

zelda.gamepedia.com/Main_Page
zelda.gamepedia.com/King_Bulblin
zelda.gamepedia.com/Crazy_Tracy

Whatever happened to two and three? A herb tried to slide with four and five and got caught like, "What you doing G?"

I too have fapped to that fanart

What's better:
zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Zeldapedia
or
zelda.gamepedia.com/Main_Page

Remember when the Zelda gamepedia had "pronouns" instead of "gender" in each of the character's profiles?

DOOM- ARE YOU PONDERING WHAT IM PONDERING?

I-is this a joke?

I believe it, considering the site RIGHT NOW has a citation for EVERY character's gender, linking to a quote either inside or outside the game that uses a pronoun or states their gender. Example:
zelda.gamepedia.com/King_Bulblin
As if it needed to be proven what gender "KING" Bulblin was.

Nah, the rest I heard from an user though, so take it with salt

Apparently, they were trying to see what to do with the Sheik page, as the page was about the concept of Sheik herself, since she's the same as Zelda, so they didn't know whether or not to list her gender as male or female, so this guy just went and edited a lot of character pages with the pronouns crap, until he got called out and it got restored to normal

Holy shit, it's still there on some pages
zelda.gamepedia.com/Crazy_Tracy

Sadly, no. The fucking ADMIN of the wiki got some bright idea to go all SJW and refer to every character by pronouns even when their gender is explicitly stated in the games, all because "hurr well we can't agree on Sheik's true gender, so...."

The worst part was he asked for a vote, but despite the majority rule telling him to fuck off he pretended everyone wanted it and implemented it anyway. Fortunately, there was enough backlash from outside communities that it was eventually reverted (mostly). It was a very good example of why the IP owner should frankly have ultimate rights over wikis, even can ones. No one with an agenda should be in charge of one of the wiki for one of the most popular gaming series out there.

Really makes you think

Alright, that's pretty fucking horrible, but now that they changed it back, which one is the better wiki?

>Beep Block Skyway
GOD DAMN IT -8
YOU'VE RUINED THAT SONG FOR ME

Pick the one with the aesthetic you like more, I can't imagine any tangible, key information being noticeably different on either site.
I like the wikia more personally because it looks more professional and structured.

I use gamepedia more than the other; but I am going to go through both and I will let you know my criteria before I jump in.

1. Miscellaneous Knowledge Pages like the hidden damages of every weapon per games
2. Trivia knowledge at the bottom of the page and its thoroughness i.e. possible name meanings, puns that are explained
3. game related information like strategies, maps(very important)
4. Ease of navigation.

N-Nani?!

There are wikis for literally everything. Multiple wikis at that.

The hero we need, but not the one we deserve

honestly, individual games should have their own wikis instead of franchise wikis
especially if there's no actual continuity between games like the mario series

zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Zeldapedia = ZW
zelda.gamepedia.com/Main_Page = ZG

I prefer how ZG looks just because its a soft color that doesn't burn the eyes
ZG also has a lot of quotes at the bottom of every page which if you wanted part of a game script you've got a good chance of finding some snippet a character said at some point.
Certainly seems better if you're a lazy lorefag trying to put a half baked theory together.

However ZW is a lot more forward with its lore information- putting its language pages in with the actual races they belong to.
Neither were very strong on maps- though ZG was slightly better on providing world maps.

tl;dr ZW can be replaced with gamefaqs mostly; though they do hide the game information and quotes in their blurb explanation posts.
ZG Is nice enough to make a bunch of charts about data.

So I'd say GameFaqs > ZW > ZG

Appreciate it. You're too good for us, user.

Don't forget the Donkey Kong Wiki, the best one of all.

I just use Zeldadungeon.
Am I a shitter?

That's not Star Wars and their well-thought article on chairs.

I'm having trouble finding a page that compares the weapon strength in various Zelda games on ZW

Does ZD have one? If no it's shit and you should consider putting all of your zelda paraphernalia into a wood chipper and then follow after it.

Gender: "I give up!"
