Co-workers start talking about vidya

>Co-workers start talking about vidya

I'm thinking about applying to work at gamestop. Should I kill myself?

I wanna work there cuz u get discounts

>Wagecuckery

GS got less appealing now that they litter their shelves with Game Sweg

>mod deletes your last thread
>keep forcing it

>accidentally ended up talking to a professor about a video game and he laughed at me

>Co-workers talk about Vidya
>It's all vidya I play on mustard race or PS4
>Ask what platform they're in
>"We all have X Box One user"
>The current flavor of the month is Friday the 13th
>The worst version is on Xbone

But this is my first thread

>at gamestop picking up a game with bros
>see minecraft sword
>start throwing them at friend
>friend starts throwing them back
>hilt of the sword breaks
>put all the swords back but put the broken one in the back
who here /devilish/?

I know a bunch of people who have done that, fucking dont

Management sucks and you have to SHILL SHILL SHILL

Also you have to deal with autists coming in doing insane shit like macing you over Sonic displays

>you have to SHILL SHILL SHILL
Not anymore, l believe. They're fixing to remove that policy.

>OP uses wrong image

>They're fixing to remove that policy.

Why would you lie like that

>coworker asks me what I've been playing
>"oh I've been replaying [insert game]. it's just so good and you can find tons of stuff you missed on the 1st playthrough."
>acts like I just admitted to fucking children because I'm replaying a game instead of paying $60 for the latest buggy AAA piece of shit

probably would have been cool like 10 years ago, but now it would just be shit. you'd be better off working at best buy if you wanna work somewhere that sells vidya things.

>friends who think that they're good in vidya

>coworkers start talking about relationships
>"don't get married user : )"

>having coworkers

>coworkers are married
>they're all miserable

this
>tfw Mommy stops supporting you so the United States government becomes your new mommy

this is acceptable behavior if you're 12

The only co-worker i even remotely like talks with me about vidya every time we see each other. i think this is what having a friend is like but i'm not too sure about what it's like having friends.

>friends always get into the current flavor of the month early access survival shooter whatever game
>Rust, H1Z1, 7 Days to Die, Friday the 13th, etc.
>never buy them because I know they'll stop playing it after 2 weeks
>occasionally ask "so you guys still playing [game] at all?"
>the answer is always no

>mfw buying my nephew minecraft story mode
>girl behind counter: "yeah this game is really cool, you replay it a bunch of times based on the choices you make :)"
>ask her if she has ever played a telltale game
>"yeah i played a little bit of the walking dead"
>want to correct the fuck out of her or ask why she is LYING to a kid
>but also don't want to be a buzzkill for my nephew
YOU WIN THIS TIME, BITCH

>couch starts talking about bagels

>Hey user, what kind of games do you play?

I'll be your friend cutie

>mfw look back and see mountain of Senran Kagura, Valkyrie Drive and Honey Select

>honestly, i prefer league

Don't do it. My buddy worked at Gamestop and he said it was nightmarish.
>Expected to stay on longer than you're written down for and told if you don't do it you get fired.
>You have to make a certain amount of card and warranty sales per month or you either get less hours or fired.
>Gamestop is essentially a place where shitty parents will drop their kids off for an hour or more as they do their more important things and you have to take care of the kids.
>Have to clean up the store every single day after spending hours stacking everything and putting them in the correct order because kids fling them everywhere.
Don't do it. If you want game discounts just worth at Best Buy since the worst they have you do is just get warranties or get you to have people sign up for the free e-mail service.

Used to work there, it's a 15% discount, literally worthless

>work at half price books
>get dank discount

best job I've ever had. I'm in the corporate office in dallas. I haven't used my discount on much vidya yet, in due time.

How much vidya traffic do you get? My local store barely has anything

>hey user do you watch video game youtubers
>dunkey is so funny xD! you do watch him right?!?

let me die in peace

>tfw I work at an escape room company

half my coworkers are jrpg-loving nerds, it's great

wow you're sooo mature

...

>oh I still have a Super Nintendo packed away, I like to play Super Mario Bros. on it. I'm such a dork!

It's all I have, I can't relate to these people on anything other than vidya.

>Work at an arcade
>Only ever had one turbo-nerd
>Constantly humming video game and anime music
>On break he'd watch speedruns and chant along with the crowd when he watched AGDQ

>coworkers talk about vidya
>"Zelda BOTW is best game ever"
>Never heard of a PS4
>Everyone owns a Switch and loves great games
>Literally no one knows what PS4 is
>Game Stop goes out of business because Ps4 overstock can't be sold
Such is life in normie land.

>tfw professor and occasionally talk about games with students

>"Hey user, wanna play some vidya games?"
>"Sure!"
>Nothing but sports games

>Had a teacher in high school who was really into Half Life
>Talked to him about video games pretty often
>Also he taught chemistry so the class was interesting on its own
>Died randomly a couple years after I graduated

RIP Mr. T

>waiting at airport hotel
>a group of chad faggots start talking about playerunknown's battlegrounds
>one of them is trying to explain what it is to the other

>Never heard of a PS4

>He has great taste

>"it's like hunger games!"

>Person has a username with something about future perfect
>start talking to hear about timesplitters
>what is timesplitters?
>realize what I've done

Looks like it's time to split, user.
