Why didn't these new IPs ever get a sequel?

Why didn't these new IPs ever get a sequel?

Singularity was only a "new" IP in the sense that its name had never been used in a video game before. There was nothing "new" about that game. I haven't played the other two but I'm willing to bet they suffer from the same problem.

They weren't nearly popular enough

>Syndicate
>"""""new""""" IP

>Syndicate
>new IP

because ea bought pandemic and six months later closed it down

>syndicate
>one of my favourite games of my childhood
>some AWFUL piece of fucking shit fps game with SKRILLEX MUSIC
>new ip

you have made me so mad i cannot put it into words

also you have to be 18 to post here

EA Killed Pandemic
Activision doesn't give two shits
Who cares about Syndicate

The Saboteur was actually kind of unique for its lack of uniqueness, it managed to steal equal parts from Assassins Creed, Hitman, Just Cause 2 and Mafia while still being playable.
>soundtrack had multiple songs that released after WW2 finished

I have a physical copy of Saboteur that's been unopened since launch sitting in my desk drawer.... Should I play this bad boy?

My neighbor's dad worked for IBM and in many business dealings they got like boxes full of new games to pass out among their friends and family.

I never opened mine thinking it was just EA shovelware.

Yes, and don't forget the patch.

>Saboteur
garbage

>Syndicate
not a new IP but I kinda liked it

>Singularity
a hidden gem of a game, but it was a complete story so there isn't really a reason for a sequel, especially since the game had multiple endings

It's pretty fun, like a mix of GTA and Assassin's Creed.

?Syndicate
>new IP
RETARD ALERT

Syndicate was the first game I ever bough with my own earned money
still one of my fav games ever

Grand Theft Asscreed.

I'll take what I can get.

>Game is called SINGULARITY
>Expects a sequel

>playing syndicate as a kid
>doing half decent once I figure out what all mods and shit do
>get to the oil rig (or whatever the fuck it was) mission and lose all my agents to gauss gun explosions in minutes

Syndicate is a reboot, you stupid fuck. But maybe they didnt get sequels because there's nothing new about their gameplay. Like, at all.

Singularity didn't get a sequel because Activision straight up said it flopped, it barely sold any copies, a shame because it was pretty fun.

No idea about the other 2, never heard about Syndicate and the only thing I know about the Saboteur is that the devs literally forgot to implement support for ATI cards

If you ask me, the saboteur is a really unknown game that's seriously underrated.

>saboteur
>dlc for titties

good times

Le Saboteur wasn't that bad as a mindless GTA-AC-Mafia hybrid but everything about the story and historical elements is retarded and it's chock full of anachronisms.

Like what? Legit curious

zeppelins (in ww2), neon signs, the real Palais du Trocadero was destroyed in 1937 and replaced by the Palais de Chaillot, a few of the songs weren't made yet.

The Stg. 44 (MP44) wasn't introduced until, as the name implies, 1944. The game takes place in 1940 (three months after the occupation of France, which started in May 1940). The Sten gun (Viper SMG) wasn't made before 1941. Panzerschreck wasn't made until 1943. The .44 Magnum cartridge was invented in the 50's, so the .44 magnum revolver couldn't exist in 1940. The Gewehr didn't exist in 1940.

They didn't do any marketing for Singularity either. I don't know what they expected. Also, the only gameplay footage till a short time before release, was of an earlier version of the game that was almost completely different.

The singularity was pretty "edge-core" I played it for about 20 mins and lost interest.

I don't know what edge-core is but I know you don't either

what

you sound like an exhausting person

Syndicate is awful, honestly. Its basically the Call of Duty Formula poorly done with a Cyberpunk skin.

singularity is fucking awesome

it's like the best 7/10 ever

>Syndicate
Because it was a shit game.

>Saboteur
Don't know. I thought it was a good concept (being an infiltrator against nazis instead of a soldier against nazis), but it was not executed well. It could have used a sequel; perhaps a different character somewhere else, because a paddy being in France was stupid.

>Singularity
They wrote themselves into a corner.

Did ANY of those games have the option to toggle ads?
Remember putting down singularity because of that shit, having to hold aim has no place in a fps.

>Toggle ADS
What the fuck is wrong with you? That's nearly as stupid as toggle crouch in a game that doesn't have prone.

Having to hold aim is like playing a strategy game and having to hold the button for 2-3 seconds every time you want to make a unit.

You realize the amount of time you spend in ADS is almost nonexistent when you do use it in any game, right? The fact your finger gets too tired to hold it means you're either an idiot or you spend too much time in it.

I liked Singularity and Saboteur but yeah, no sales and developer of Saboteur got shut down after it was released.
