Are there any mods, beyond git gud that fix the controls for these games? Tried playing 2 once, but had a hard time adjusting to the 1993 controls. Doe Euros normally lag that far behind?

Yeah unfortunately for Gothic/Risen games the combat has been always sort of a problem. Risen 1 made it good, but cheap at some point (as soon as you could use charged attacks with your melee weapon everything else became irrelevant) and Risen 3 also had some cheap mechanics to it, but overall these games are not exactly technical masterpieces. So gothic 2 has only really 2 control modes, one of which is the default and the other is more similar to G1 to appeal to veterans.

I couldn't tell you about "better" controls other than binding, and I understand the frustration.

Darkness can't hit shit but she's a good tank. Megumin can only use one spell a day but at least it's a giant fucking nuke. Aqua is just a useless vagina that doesn't do shit. At least Kazuma's a pimp who smacks this bitch when she gets uppity.

If it wasn't for her, they could beat nothing. Also she revived Kazuma for being a idiot multiple times.
She great when it counts, but she is overall useless. She's like a lawnmower. Useless for most of the year, but useful in little amounts of time.

Dark Souls is trash, it isn't even in the top 10 RPGs, see above
