Friendly reminder that there's no reason to play any class besides Magick Archer.

Is this the new bait to lure people in to talk about Dragons Dogma?
>auto aim the class
assassin master race
Halp what kinda of gear i should have for BBI with my Assassin/Strider arisen and Fighter pawn?
Just play Mystic warrior
Unfriendly stipulation that there is no reason to play any game but tetris.
I normally cheese the chests in the everfall for some decent gear before I go BBI.
For any class using a bow i'd advise stocking up on a shitload of blast arrows.
>assassin with counter, kisses and reset
never had this much fun in a rpg game before
mage is the best pawn class
give them the slowing weapon, status locks for days
Sure, if you're ok with having the worst stat progression in the game.
They might not matter that much for most of the base game, but having that extra mag att is a big deal for BBI and ur-dragon runs.
What is Ranger with Tenfold Flurry + Blast Arrows? Or Reaper's Arrow?
Ranger can destroy any enemy with Tenfold Flurry, it's ridiculous.
>any class besides Magick Archer
Except for a Ranger who can nuke shit faster than any other class.
Or if you set up a 4-man gimmick party of mages with identical spells so all four of you mirror the same spell and tornado the fuck out of everything.
but this is the case for all classes
if you want to play strider, fighter, ranger, or assassin you level as 1-10 fighter/11-200 assassin
if you want to play mage or sorcerer you level as 1-10 strider/11-200 sorcerer
as for MA/MK is 1-10 strider/mix between assassin and mage for 11-100/101-200 sorcerer
Who /mysticknight/ here?
>playing the poor mans monster hunter
>new
Almost as new as
>Why is Warrior the worst class?
Friendly reminder there is no real reason to play any class really, as gear will do most of the work for you with the only exception being the initial, very first steps of BBI.
Well then, that means there's plenty of reasons to play anything but magick archer.
>implying any game, including other MH isn't poor man's MH until the release of World anyways
>can't use certain clothing purely for cosmetic reasons while still having the stats of another piece of armor
ugh
Except for having fun
>stupid 6 skill slot limitation with warrior getting fucking 3
>retarded system of stat growth
>locked hybrid classes instead of actual multiclassing that could save the situation
>boring-ass blue classes with some of the worst magic systems i've seen in genre
the game has cool moments but everything about stat and class balance is fucked on every single fucking level possible
>stat progression meme is still alive
tfw the wind isn't pushing me
How do you maintain a steady cash flow late game as ranger? For blast arrows mainly.
You can't really slap on focused holy bolts and melt offline ur for easy riches.
Plz, I want to wipe the smug look off Death's face.
>want to play as magick archer
>play as sorcerer the entire game to level magic attack
>wait till level 200 for max stats
>obtained after farming last boss
>nothing to beat anymore
I fucked up
Is there a way to quickly farm points to vocations? I just want to get some passives open as fast as possible
Here's a (you)
>Bitching about magic in DD, one of the few action-RPGs to actually get it right
Tossing your opinion into the Everfall.
I like Warrior the most. The two-handed weapons selection is fucking great in this game. Too bad the Berserk sets aren't in the PC version.
Cash flow problem late game? u wot, m8? Jump into the Everfall and sell those wakestones.
Cash flow problems? Why aren't you playing on hard mode? Money becomes a non-issue there and it stops becoming difficult by the time you beat the first cyclops.
World Difficulty 1.0 when?!
Try Iraklis if you haven't, it's hands down the best one because of its innate effect of crushing blows for 10x damage when goldforged.
That's painfully slow compared to ur dragon runs as a sorc.
Having to go back from BBI to farm everfall is a fucking drag.
>Too bad the Berserk sets aren't in the PC version.
How is that a bad thing again?
>next to no interesting utility spells
>all combat spells are just an awesome button with 20 second wind-up that gets boring after you saw it a few times
>no interesting gameplay mechanics that would allow you to actually feel like a mage when even a horrible two worlds 2 allowed you to be a fucking Jesus walking on water or summoning a whirlwind of anvils
If there's one thing DD doesn't "get right", it's a fucking magic system.
You know you've fucked up when the most usable spell is a light infused focused bolt spam.
Post-Grigs? Climb a wall outside the Duke's castle and let your pawns fight the endless guards. Equip gear that speeds up discipline point gains.
Pre-Grigs? Farm goblin hordes and wolf packs.
>stupid 6 skill slot limitation with warrior getting fucking 3
Use dinput8 fuckhead, you can even change weapons on the flow for fucks sake
>retarded system of stat growth
It's okay
>locked hybrid classes instead of actual multiclassing that could save the situation
Dinput8
>boring-ass blue classes with some of the worst magic systems i've seen in genre
If you want to pew-pew right from your hands or shit play Skyrim or DS or Harry Potter games(and even they have better magic than Skyrim and DS)
That is such horrible advice why the fuck are you trying to lie to the man. Damage calculation in this game is simple as fuck. If you don't exceed the defense of the enemy with your attack value, you will do jack shit damage. Jack shit damage x10 is still jackshit damage. The weapon also makes you use a TON more stamina. He would get better damage with any base endgame weapon, and lets not even get started with the damage he'd do with actual BBI weapons.
They look cool.
I haven't actually, I always thought it looked too much like a two-pronged dildo and just never bothered.
Discipline is earned by individual kills and completing quests. Focus on killing many little weak things or doing those questboard missions.
Play up to the Everfall and fight the endless guards that keep pouring out of the castle. Hop up on to the stone fence next to the church, leave the game running and let your pawns kill a shitload of them overnight. There's almost zero chance that the rare archer guard will take a shot at you, the Regeneration Augment is enough for you to recover faster for the nicks you suffer.
>just use cheats
A very valuable answer truly showing how the game balance is utterly fucked, thanks.
>If you want to pew-pew
I want to play as a mage, not as a wielder of awesome button. Funny thing is that you mention skyrim when DD's magic system rivals it in terms of primitiveness and only has better presentation.
>You know you've fucked up when the most usable spell is a light infused focused bolt spam.
You know you've fucked up when you've confined yourself to playing in the most boring manner possible just because it's imbalanced.
I thought literally every DLC weapon was trash though?
>tfw nobody hires my pawn
fuck man I just want some RCS
>It's okay
Okay no, I'm not who you're replying to and I actually really like the game, but the stat growth system is fucking lame and you know it. Having to play a class you don't want to so that you can get stats appropriate for one you do is lame and you just end up spending most of the game playing a class you'd rather not be playing, or being weak as shit.
yeah there is. Its called not being a little bitch
>confined yourself to playing in the most boring manner possible
You confine yourself to playing in the most boring manner possible when you pick blue class already. There's nothing creative or interesting going on for pure blue classes in their entirety, it's a primitive, barebones system that is among the worst i've seen in genre. Focused bolt spam is simply a cherry on top of a horrible design decisions.
>A very valuable answer truly showing how the game balance is utterly fucked, thanks.
It's balanced, and if you're saying that you want to cheat then cheat, faggot
>magic system rivals it in terms of primitiveness and only has better presentation.
As I see you don't know shit about games with magic then
Try and start a thread just saying "hey lets talk about this game"
It never works
One reply
Then it dies.
On Sup Forums you have to start with bait or porn.
Post name/level/vocation and a picture.
...
>being weak as shit.
Do you really though? I've played the game knowing jack shit of how the stats grow and I don't feel weak at all by the time I reach level 200. I don't even go for the most OP weapons, I just wear and use whatever looks the best while having decent stats.
Most are, some are still useful in some manner, at least in early game. that heart staff and Iraklis are the only ones I can say maintain their usefulness for as long as you use them.
Just shill your pawn on the steam forums or reddit
The self rez staff is great on a mage pawn. The Iraklis is a decent gimmick but if you want reliable damage, the BBI weapons outclass it.
It's okay for me, because at first I played strider and assasin because I wanted to, and next I literally tried out every last fucking class there and maxed out all of them except two magic ones
I did like the game and I know that stat thing isn't that good, but it's not lame, it's just simple
And as you see I didn't have any problems with the game at all
that's the first webm i've seen of the mmo that makes it actually look fun
>that is among the worst i've seen in genre
Dramaqueen more, twat.
>It's balanced
Sure it is
>3 slots for a warrior
kekekekeke
>you don't know shit about games with magic
I've played in such a load of games with magic systems i can shit down your throat for days, sonny. DD can't beat even a fucking Two Worlds 2 in casting aspect, an otherwise horrible game. Come back when your magic system is something other than watching 20 second long casting animation while your pawns are having fun.
>pc game is graphically worse than it's ps3 game
>ps3 game looked like ps2 shit
You mindless fanboys are so cute, so hasty to defend even objectively shit mechanics that it makes me laugh.
Is there a good ENB for this game?
>kekekekeke
>sonny
You're still haven't proved your point except being a picky faggot
it's graphically better/around the same though, i don't know what you expected from a barren beach area
the vast majority of the season 1 assets are literally just ripped out of the original game.
it's basically just the offline gameplay with lobby multiplayer except warrior is actually really good
That's only because you prefer to close your eyes and scream "LALALALA CANT HEAR YOU".
I'm pretty sure most of the assets are recycled from what was cut from regular DD. I know some of the enemies and area concepts seen in the artbook are pretty much the exact same stuff that shows up in DDO's original release
This is easily one of the worst opinions I have evee seen.
...
No, I did say what you have to do if you're that much a nigger who wants to cheat
Now go fuck yourself obnoxious faggot
BIRD TITS
>who wants to cheat
You're the one asking me to cheat when faced with criticism of horrible game mechanics, sonny. I'm so sorry that this game has an enormous shitload of balance problems, is must be really hard to be a diehard fan of it.
>criticism of horrible game mechanics, sonny
Sure buddy
That's okay to have a shit opinion and shitposting still instead of playing vidya, have a (you)
...
Motherfucking gets me every time, guaranteed replies
DD2 WHEN
>That's okay to have a shit opinion
Glad that you at least understand how horrible and biased your opinion is, sonny. It's truly okay to like shit game mechanics. They just won't magically become good.
Am i the only one that finds this game incredibly easy? i played on hard mode but it didnt change much, at least not that i could tell.
I played assassin and on my next run Mystic Knight
Sadly the main game is easy with that classes if not all
Check out BI for difficulty
hard mode only makes your stamina deplete faster and gives enemies more damage
but armor reduces damage by flat amount ,so if you have good armor a lot of attacks barely touch you regardless of difficulty.
No, you aren't alone. Only early new game on hard mode and BBI gives any semblance of difficulty at all which is why I'm always confused by people who insist that the stat growth shit is something that you need to pay attention to.
Oh yes, it's painfully easy, almost brainless. And hard mode is probably even easier than normal because of additional gold gain. On top of that you can even break it further with overpowered shit like blast arrow or focused bolt spam.
Honestly, when it comes to balance the game is just awful. It nails some basic concepts like climbing, but overall it really needed at least a year of polishing before release.
as for assassin, what skills should I use?
thousand kisses and instant reset are must-have
but what about the third one?
I did try BBI but honestly i got bored, because i everytime things got complicated i just equipped blast arrows and that was it. (although my pawns got fucked in the meantime, thats for sure)
your weebums are the most boring shit and you post them constantly
why
Why would you make the game boring on purpose, I mean do you HAVE to use blast arrows just because they're available?
This is one of the only webms i have of this game and i haven't posted it in probably a year.
you have me confused with someone ells.
No, of course i dont HAVE to use them but i can, it breaks the illusion of challenge if i have to gimp myself.
the game is super easy
>play hardmode
>collect just one big sack of gold (10,000 gold)
>buy a shitload ot greenwarish, mushroom and empty vials
>travel through spring and fill the vials with spring water
>give to your pawn
never worry about healing by the time you reach gran soren (lv 10)
>two worlds 2 magic system
THANK YOU
Holy shit no one ever brings up Two Worlds 2, it was a mess but god damn if it didn't have some good potential.
>make a bouncing, splintering fireball
>during each bounce it creates an undead warrior
>after a few casts you have yourself a small squad
Endgame TW2 mage blows the fuck out DD's magic completely.
It's always brought up whenever a thread about magic in video games is around. It's just that we've not had a thread on that in a while. I easily put around 30 hours into TW2 just because the magic system was neat. The whole game was ass apart from having cloth physics in a proper RPG at the time of its release.
