"gee miyazaki, we've tried many times but we cant make a giant fight not piss easy"

>"gee miyazaki, we've tried many times but we cant make a giant fight not piss easy"
>"just add a shitload of health and defense"
>"brilliant"

What the fuck were they thinking with this shit? I've actually calculated how long it would take with the damage I do and its about 40 minutes to beat him while playing perfectly. This isnt a challenge, its just tedious bullshit. Even DaS2 bosses were better than this

Shitpost doesn't really work when your own screenshot proves you're retarded

Explain

You aren't fooling anyone faggot

I liked DaS3 more than Bloodborne

Im going to be nice, only you need to do is .

Storm Ruler weapon art

This fight was such a letdown

I don't know if you're retarded or just didn't phrase your post correctly or you're just trolling, but you realize that you're supposed to get the storm ruler from the throne in the back of the room to kill him right? It's even being used in the picture you posted lol, it takes like literallyno30 seconds to beat him. I hope you're trolling cause if not you need to start wearing a retard helmet before you go outside

Is this thread a bait or you are totally braindead?

>people falling for this bait
>this thread still being up

not much fucking better lol.

>"gee miyazaki, we've tried many times but we cant make a giant fight not piss easy"
>"just add a shitload of health and defense"
>"but then it becomes tedious!"
>kay, add a shitload of health and defense, BUT ALSO throw in a magical macguffin that can 1hko the boss somewhere in the arena"
>"brilliant"

Okay so you're definitely trolling, AND a retard lol

>lol

Where the fuck is snacks with the banhammer when you need him?

hahahahhaha

this fucking retard

Well fuck me for never picking up items until after a boss is dead

Now it went from impossible to so easy its not even fun. Not much better

>I've actually calculated how long it would take with the damage I do and its about 40 minutes to beat him while playing perfectly.
I couldn't figure out how to use the storm ruler so after the 3rd or 4th try I just dropped that shit even though it was perfectly clear you were supposed to use it.

So I just played perfectly for 40 minutes straight, killing him the conventional way. Every other boss fight in DS3 was piss easy after that.

There's some sort of gimmick to defeat him using a weapon found in the boss room.

I never used it though. I found out you can stagger him if you hit him specifically on his glowing arm. Git gud before complaining, yadayada. It's obvious from a first glance that you're not supposed to do chip damage throughout the entire fight.

He's piss easy even without the Storm Ruler. Ever heard of baiting and stagger?

Every single zone and boss fight in DS3 can be beaten rolling around the enemy with no other thought or mechanic behind it. This is the only boss where you're supposed to work out how to beat him.

I'm sure there's someone out there that thinks like OP but I"m surprised they never summoned any help. Literally every sunbro within a ten mile radius of the boss room has the special weapon.

Fart skeleton is kind of a puzzle boss

you don't know what a macguffin is

Yeah I don't know what From were thinking with BB. The primary draw of the series is adventuring through varied backdrops while experiencing cabin-fever. This kind of adventure was amplified by the famous skill-ceiling/difficulty and even the frustrating inconsistencies in design and polish. The controls and combat were always far from fluid and definitely never the highlight.

So BB comes along and focuses everything on the combat, (even worse, the offensive combat) and a single environment (victorian/lovecraftian hybrid world). This just highlights all the problems (e.g. bad frame-rate, vague narrative, bad hitboxes, etc) that were hidden by keeping everything more varied (environments, play-styles, boss-formulas, exploration) previously.

Souls' in general has been degenerating into a Boss Rush + fantasy novel game.

Bloodborne has the best interconnected world since the original dark souls.

three was way more linear

>Bloodborne has the best interconnected world since the original dark souls

...

>he doesn't know about the meme sword that kills him in three hits

Literally the easiest boss in the whole Souls series.

>The primary draw of the series is adventuring through varied backdrops while experiencing cabin-fever.
Good thing BB isn't a souls game then I guess.

...

>bloodborne defense force ITT

Why do people defend a reskinned dark souls?

yhorm has to be the most retarded "gimmick" boss theyve ever done
you literally cant defend this

Demon's Souls came first senpai

Isn't he shorter than cinematic?

On a technical level it is, despite the big changes I highlighted.

I can't help but feel that the reason for its success was that latecomers wanted to take part in what they had heard was awesome combat and hardcore difficulty, but which was in reality clunky combat and a difficulty which was supposed to enhance and be subservient towards the exploration.

This alone would make you think BB was destined to fail by degenerating the Souls' formula. So the reason it was ultimately the most successful must be done to it being the most polished game by far. That's the only thing that it seems to have the advantage in. We can't underestimate the marketing either, it had Sony power and the advantage that all their art-design efforts would be focused on a single setting which benefits the advertising more than it does the game (I'm not saying this is a bad thing, if anything the best games should also have the best business practices behind them, to increase revenue and potential development resources).

Meme the giant dad.

Well, if you do the knight if catarina quest, the fight becomes better lore wise, but even easier since you now have someone with his own storm ruler to aid you in combat. So, yeah.

Why did they put the storm ruler gimmick in his fight? He would have been a fun fight if it wasn't for the fact that killing him normally takes so long because of his massive fucking health pool.

I think you're making that comparison on how the progression goes on a macro level (like if you were to put all of the game's maps down on paper) when on a micro level, playing an actual level itself, the opposite is true. The paths in BB are the most linear and corridor-like of the series.

Even on the macro level, is there really such a big difference in linearity between these two? Only main difference I see is that BB was conceptualised by branching out from a main hub, a circular design. Whereas 3 is "linear" in the sense of how it looks on paper (straight rather than circular) but not in the sense the maps are corridor-like or perceptively overly-sequential.

He's not even as large as the Giant Lord in DaS2, which was incredibly underwhelming for me.

Well designed to avoid Retarded

>is there really such a big difference in linearity between these two?
Forgot pic.

Used 3's map since you guys were arguing about that one first.

I just liked a return to a more fantasy aesthetic, and away from the aesthetic of Bloodborne. The more distance I put between myself and chalice dungeons is just a bonus.

also just realized I used DS1 lel

You know, I've never thought of it that way before. Now that you mention it I hardly have an impression of the areas in BB but in DS each area felt unique and full of interesting shit to find with a cool boss fight as a nice cherry on top. Saying that in general I still love bb and it's design, I hope they can improve upon it in further games.

He honestly isn't that hard
Most of his dangerous attacks are reserved for when your fighting at range like you would with storm ruler
And it taking 40 minutes is because your weapon is upgraded enough as it isn't normal for that to take that long

>Meme fight that's over if you pick up some gimmick and hit him four times
>Well designed.

I wish the chalice dungeons had slightly different lighting for each layer. Even just a tiny change in scenery would take them a long way.

Threads like these really put into perspective how much we need to start implementing eugenics programs to stop you from breeding

>r1 r1 roll
>Repeating a task 100 times
>Good

Yeah but that was like Dark Souls beta

Did you play it?

>do it the retard way
>after 2 hours and various tries I finally beat it
>"this boss was shit"
>find the sword
>feel like a retard, but a proud one
>not talking about it on Sup Forums until today
