Not sure what other FF games I should play. Apparently V has a job system so I might play that because the jobs were my favorite part of III

In X the whole cast was fucking retarded.
It made the whole game annoying as fuck.
Tidus is the worst main character created.

I didn't even finish IX.
I just won a hunting contest in a city and it was so god damn boring. Vivi was cool tho.

It's pretty alright, i'm torn between IV, VI and III for my next game

Lulu, Auron and Riku are pretty good characters though imo (Khamari is fucking god awful, almost worse than Quina).

I also hear you on IX, but the story really does evolve a lot past that point and Vivi's story arc is worth playing it for regardless.

Story has one of the best endings in FF history if you tinfoil hat and buy into the theories about what it actually means.

When part of the reason I enjoyed XV is that I liked to look at a certain character's abs, I'm not going to pretend that's what made the game "good."

No character ever makes any sense. It's like the writer was stoned while he was writing that shit.
The gameplay is broken and you can cheese through the entire game in your first playthrough without dying ONCE.
Music is good I guess but every FF has good music.

There is no "basic" objectivity. It's entirely black and white, either you're objective (you aren't) or you're not (you aren't). If abs are the reason you like something, then that's that. You have no other perspective than your own, and trying to assert that you do is silly at best, pretentious at worst. There is absolutely ZERO value in trying to be objective.

Only played VII and part of XIII, VII was amazing, XIII was whatever until I got onto an airship or some shit, then there was a huge level spike and I didn't want to grind so I stopped playing.

Squall is great, the only time I don't think a character makes sense is Irvine's flimsy excuse for not bringing up the orphanage, and I don't mind at all that the game is broken.

I enjoyed: PSP 1, PSX 2, NES 3 / PSP 3, 4:after years edition, 5, 6 (dejap bugfix), 7, dirge, crisis core, 8,9,X,X-2, XII, XIII, XIII-2, XIII LR, tactics advance, tactics

psx 6 was ok but load times are an abomination. psp 2 looks like arse.

all of the phone ready remakes suck.

I think that covers it. note that 2 and 3 are not american 2 (4) or american 3 (6). and no way am I ranking anything, it would take hours.

Kain is the best Dragoon, Kimahri and Freya are tied for worst due to being furry and not really being Dragoons. Kimahri is more like a Blue Mage and Freya looks like a rat Red Mage.

I doubt I can call myself much of an FF fan since I rarely finish the games, but I still tend to like the characters, summons, and worlds.

This is a non sequitur. Anyway, dressing in one color is a piss-poor reason to dislike a character. Just admit you are like little babby and think FFXIII was good.

I hardly finish any of the games either. Out of the mainline FF games, I only beat 7 and 10. I got too autistically distracted by the card games for 8 and 9 so I didn't finish them. I like the stories and atmosphere each brings though. The soundtracks for 7-10 are pretty good too.

She's less of a dragoon because she doesn't look like one, also its not just the colors of her armor its the pointy hat and over coat that make her look like a furry Red Mage. The only people who care about her are furfags anyway

Yeah how could I forget about the music, but I guess playing both Theatrhythm games speaks for itself. There's that underlying sense of familiarity with FF's tropes and themes that keeps me coming back and trying more games to see what they change and what stays the same.

Tried XI and it had to be the worst, MMO I ever played. If I ever have time, Ill try XIV as I hear its a lot better. MMOs are a huge time investmet though

You didn't even got past the half of the first cd on FF IX. The story really starts on cd2. So go finish that fucking game now.

You can't blame someone for putting 10-15 hours into a game and ditching it because they still find themselves in tutorial territory because of terrible pacing on the games part. Xiii should have ramped up the pace rather than have snow and lightning shout at eachother for hours on end at the beginning of a game about some chick we don't care about.
