Example of the latter is the Nithing quest. Instead of giving the herbalist an ultimatum, "remove the curse or I'll turn it back on you and kill you" or "remove the curse or I'll expose your crime to the rest of the village" it gives you a binary choice of "turn it back on her and kill her" or "force the degenerate husband to abandon his family" . Forced writing so reddit can wank over how deep, hard hitting and patrician the game is.

i don't know why but i found it fucking boring, it's not expansive, the game play sucks and the combat is just mashing left click the occasional other button for spells, boring story i didn't understand but the soundtrack was fucking awesome. Got bored halfway through had no idea hat was going on.

From what I remember it's dumbed down from the previous games and is a button masher spamfest with AI that will chase you for 10 feet and run back to their area. The towns are also void of things to do and are just there to sell graphics cards.

That's true, but we're looking at a standpoint of what makes TW3 the best roleplaying "game" not roleplaying story.
A story can be something that enhances the game and a major part of what makes the game good, but if the gameplay takes a backseat because the story was good (TLOU) then it's not a good judgement at all.
Unless you're talking about interactive novels or movie games, both of which TW3 isn't.

It has juvenile writing and shit gameplay. What else does this game have to offer besides the visuals? Almost every facet of its game design with the exception of the cities being well made are, at best, average for open world games.
