What is it about this game that makes people act like complete retards. Like I literally played it for a few weeks, beat it and moved on without too much thought and yet for most of the internet it's like this ongoing obsession to be as stupid about its existence as humanly possible and to totally misrepresent the type of game it even is.

Contrarian bandwagon has got to stay afloat somehow, even if that includes misrepresenting the game entirely

People either praise it as god's gift to man with no flaws, or say it is retarded weebshit with terrible combat and a story you have to play 50 times to get the real ending.

I've put 90 hours into this game, and its far from perfect, but I love it. The music, the controls, the strange world and the crazy story outweigh the flaws it has, like an obviously limited budget and some heavy backtracking.

Because it hit a chord user, it made people care. Just cause you've learnt to disassociate yourself with the world doesn't mean everyone else is just as jaded. People want to talk about things they care about, and other people just want to rile them up for it.

I love it

Combat was fun, story was good, world is interesting to me. Even with any flaws it has I still find it more enjoyable to play right now than any other game available, at least until I've squeezed every piece of story I can out of it. Route C was also like one giant hype section for me so I'd like to see all that again, even though I'll be going slower this time. I don't really understand all the hate or the exaggerated praise though so I tally it up to shitposting and hyperbolic chatter.
