What is that and what does it do?

Famicom Disk System most likely. It's really the only attachment that is both successful and fondly remembered. Second might be the Sega CD.

>He doesn't know

that would be the PC-Engine CD-ROM2

google image search tells me it's a custom N64 attachment for the gamecube

>nu-Sup Forums

Gameboy Player, you can play GBA games on your TV.

MODS

Meh. I'd rather play on a real GBA.

You gotta be 18 to post here, summerfag

They made a console for the GBA?

Hello underage

>lose the gameboy player disc
>accessory becomes a paperweight brick

>if you weren't an autistic nintendo richie rich spoiled kid then you're a summerfag
beep beep richie

Hmm, wonder what's better, the one that plays just GB/C games or the one that plays GBA and GB/C games.

This can only play GB original, not even color
GB player plays GBA GB and GBC

>No 3DS player attachment for WiiU that increases the resolution and has optional 3DTV support for the 3D
That console is just lost potential: the system
If only it had fucking sold well.

I'm selling my video game shit and I managed to pawn that one off for like 69 bucks or something like that.

It's more expensive than the console itself which is dirt cheap.

I was born in 1999, I'm old enough to post on Sup Forums.

I think we all can agree on this

It hurts just to look at all those cables

Hello underage

Too bad the default software kinda sucks and you have to use a homebrew app to run properly.

It's the add on that actually made the console live up to its namesake.

Ugh, no.

Fucking christ and I thought that the WiiU was heavy on wires.

Indeed.
The same goes for thePS VITA TV

I'm already fed up.

>girls born in 1999 are old enough to do porn

Don't spoonfeed

You really should stop watching porn

Gamecube is second best console ever made after the Dreamcast

DO NOT tell me what to do!

>he doesn't know

And yet you'll always be a fag, fag.

>Dualshock 4 has 2 extra buttons that could fufill some back touchpad functions and the trackpad that could totally simulate the front touchscreen when/if needed
>Meaning that otherwise totally compatible games are unusuable on the thing because one or two miniscule but vital interactions require the two touch interfaces including games like Soul Sacrifice that only use it for the sacrifice component, gravity rush that uses it for dodging and gyro but was transferred to the PS4 anyway because the DS4 has gyro, and even games like fucking Metal Gear Solid 2 which objectively were designed to work on the controller the Vita TV uses but cannot play it because the Vita version uses the touchscreen for items
>Sony doesn't bother trying to support probably over half of the Vita's library and releases the damn thing anyway
>For whatever reason only plays Persona 4 Golden at better resolution and literally nothing else

my nigga

Your only option then is to mod your GC. Unless you want to spend $50+ to get another disc.

quit being a fag

Why? It's a good way to release some energy if you don't want to find some THOT

absolutely disgusting

Or get gameboy interface instead.

And there is no way vita games would be playable on whatever successor handheld sony will produce or emulator because of stupid touchpad
Vita will be like xbox but worse

Thanks FFXI.

I got one years ago at a flea market for $30 and it came with the disc.

I've never used it even once.

>2017
>there still hasn't been a proper A/V output attachment released for Gameboy/DS

>Xbox had this built in

It's not. It has the same amount of wires as any console since the sensor bar is not required.

So did the PS2 slims, albeit at the cost of no HDD.

Don't get me wrong I love my WiiU but it's absolutely heavy on the wires. Not even counting the sensor bar.
>WiiU power cord
>HDMI
>Externally powered hard drive power cord
>Mini USB to USB cord to connect external to WiiU
>Wired internet adapter
>Gamepad Power cord
>At least one cord for pro controller charging (not always in use, thank god for 60+ hour battery life) but have needed to charge all 3 at the same time once
>Gamecube controller adapter+gamecube controller(s) plugged in at all times.

That's 6 minimum at all times. 7 if I want to play anything that requires motion on the Wii. Up to 9 but usually only going up to 8.

>tfw stuck a 500gb HDD in my Xbox

Why are you using an externally powered HDD?
And why are you charging peripherals from the console itself instead of keeping them near your sofa?

Not him but Wii U is max 32gb and doesn't give the USB ports enough power for a good external drive, so it needs to be powered

>Why are you using an externally powered HDD?
Because they're the most reliable and fastest option for the WiiU. Plus I have 2 terabytes to fill for hacking this way.
>And why are you charging peripherals from the console itself instead of keeping them near your sofa?
Because the charging cord for the controller obviously is intended to still allow use of the controller you dummy.

Because they're baiting you

The requirements are 3 cables:
>power
>video
>controller
The same as any system.

Yet my Wii powers an external drive just fine over a single USB port. If that's not enough there are cables with 2 USB plugs that give the HDD more power

I honestly can't tell if you're agreeing with me or disagreeing

There's an SD slot.

>32 gigabytes MAXIMUM
You cannot get away without external memory on the WiiU. It's impossible. This is my game collection and I still ran out of space on the console for games.

Seems like a pretty coherent sentence to me. Walk on it user

Can't be used for loading games outside of piracy because honestly SD card is not a medium fit for loading modern games. It's for photo storage.

>that scary noise it would make when you accidentally pulled out a catridge

>SD cards
>external HDDs
Both are optional but they're options you have, usually cheaper than consoles with a slow as shit HDD built in for system stuff

SD cards are faster than bluray drives It's not 2007 anymore

>Came with it
>The only thing I did with it was download the MGS3 pack
I would have played FF11 but I really didn't like the idea of monthly subscription.

The SD card on the WiiU CANNOT be used to store games. Because it's honestly not a format fit for loading even semi-modern console games.

>Because it's honestly not a format fit for loading even semi-modern console games.

So Wii U games would be fine?

>he never heard of different SD card classes
yeah man, photography is casual as fuck compared to our super hardcore video gaming

Something like the 3DS can handle it but certainly nothing from the seventh gen (roughly the WiiU's power level) or above.

I honestly can't wait to see what happens with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Switch.
>32 internal gigabytes on the system
>XBCX was already 22.7 gigabytes, 2 is almost certainly going to be larger
>Most player will be forced to move their entire library to SD card loading or try to load XBCX off of SD card
>Most people will probably have trouble finding a physical copy to avert this because lol shortages
It's gonna be a shitshow.

That's not the Mega-CD

>running a program that needs to operate in real time with no slowdowns or delays
>storing a fancy picture
>comparable

No, that would be the TG16 CDROM addon

You're probably just being facetious but the rich kids I know all hate Nintendo games aside from Smash

>have to buy another type of controller just to have a decent dpad for 2d games
no thanks

Why not? The 128gb micro sd card in my phone does 30MB/s.

>Wii U Disc Speed: 22.5 MB/s
Yeah that guy is an idiot

>wanting to play handheld titles in a non-portable manner
This was the beginning of the end for both Nintendo and portable gaming. The secret has always been what is proper and fun for stationary console experiences are---with no exceptions---shit on handheld and visa-versa.

Loved using this thing simply because it made that golden sun code manual input not a pain in the ass.

His point is a lot of our parents didn't go out and buy us shit we wanted so some people have no idea what it is and that doesn't make them summerfags. My parents made me pay for my first console and would never buy me any video game shit as gifts. I come from a wealthy family too, they just hate video games. They think video games makes people fat, lazy and socially delayed.

the breakout box sytlized as a mini PS4 is the only thing I like about this set up.

I hear the headset is comfy for VR as well. Too bad all the experiences are 540p shooting gallery shitfests.

So that's how you get a Gamecube to run games that are actually fun.

...

My WiiU sd card is filled with Gamecube games and Wii Games. I have the Wii U games on a usb external hard drive just so I don't have to swap games in and off the card.

It works fine.

Screw the disc, the software on it's a piece of garbage anyway, get yourself a memory card SD card reader like: codejunkies.com/Products/SD-Media-Launcher__EF000580V.aspx
and a

that would really defeat the whole point

Aside from the larger screen on a possibly superior display.
