Why are the opinions of professional reviewers considered so important? Chances are, many (most?) people on this board have played more video games than these reviewers. Also, Sup Forums tends to shit on other games that get very high scores, like Call of Duty or GTA V. So why do you use review scores to justify the greatness of this game, when you don't consider them for other games?

I'm convinced that most people who hate TLoU have not even played it. It's very far from a "movie game", the gameplay is actually pretty interesting.

The fantasy cell shade graphics were on purpose dummies.

They said that they wanted to perfect the same type of graphics they used in Skyward.

The character models and content are amazing, fluid, thoughtful and detailed, they added so many different engines to the game to make it interesting and fun.

Like when leaves fall out of a tree and land on the water and float around, the gravity and rag doll physics and shit like that.

The graphics represent a fantasy world, without all the photo realistic hd textures it left them room for innovation and days of shit to do.

I bought when it came out, still havent beat it, or much of the main story line for that matter, still just exploring the map and finding new shit everyday.

You'd just have to play to see for yourself, as soon as you walk out of the cave and climb up the temple of time to scope the world, you will get hooked.

im 28, and im so damned glad to actually play something enteresting and fun, rather than the same old suped up graphical games that are soulless and bland in the actual game.

I dropped them both for Breathe of the Wild.

Kinda makes me sad because games like this are a dying breed.

Ole well time to grow up sometime, but atleast I get one more grand adventure with Link across Hyrule.

Didn't really happen, no. We knew it was a good game, but only shitposters pretended like scores mattered that much. Obviously, they're important for the medium and determining a game's value, but you have to take it with a grain of salt. The Last of Us got good scores because at its core, the game was okay and the story pushed the medium forward in a way that had not been seen yet.
The writing, atmopshere, immersion, emotion and characters brought so much to the table. It was such an important game not just for itself, but for games on a whole. Zelda doesn't innovate at all. It's a good game, but the story is really, really childish and basic and nothing in it is original in the slightest. The 10/10s it's getting is mostly, around 80% at least, just people obsessed with Nintendo over a Zelda game being remotely good again. That's it.
It has nothing to it that other open-world games lack and it would take a really severe form of autism or idiocy to not see that.
