It's got nothing to do with Nomura. The problem is Square let all the other talent walk out the door and let so many IPs that solidified its good name with gamers fall by the wayside. Square then went all-in on anime/emo BS, making Nomura draw random characters for other teams to run off and make games with, instead of finding actual talent to build cool games from the ground-up. The decision to go multi-plat caused their operation to suffer since they couldn't count on either platform's version to sell reliably. Basically the suits mucked it up

Type-O is the best single player FF since XII. His other games night suck, but again he actually gets shit done around there. It's not entirely his fault that FFXV was such a clusterfuck.

It has the exact same problems as XV, right down to story pacing being dreadful and the last couple of chapters insanely rushed. It's almost uncanny. Even the actual game is the same with 90% of the playtime spent running around the boring, tedious, and ugly environments and running around and doing inane quests.

Nomura is the one who talked about death saying that death is sudden and unpredictable, that originally he knew someone was to die but that he didn't want it to be Barret because that would be too predictable which is why he wrote that Aeris dies, because that wasn't predictable, Nomura wrote the whole base story and all the characters of 7

Nomura is the one who storyboarded every cutscene, including the famous Sephiroth killing Aeris

Sakaguchi actually didn't have much to do with the Scenario IIRC, he helped, of course, but it's more Kitase and Nojima. Sakaguchi helped a lot with worldbuilding stuff, like the Lifestream, etc.

XV is already out, what are you on about? And it's messy development is largely because of him fixing shit Nomura did before he took over, he literally had to restructure the entire team and make hard choices like cutting shit because they were not allowed to delay it past 2016. And even if you are going on this "lel unfinished" meme, that won't even be valid anymore once ep Iggy comes out in Dec this year since by then all the DLC is out filling whatever "gaps" were in the story. And even if he isn't directly directing those he's still producer on it while people who were in higher positions on XV are directing the DLC stuff.

XV no matter how much people meme, is a finished game, it has a start, middle and end with a clear conclusion and more than enough content to last you over 100 hours. And all the new content is stuff they are adding because they weren't allowed to delay XV past 2016.

If you're going to say XV is unfinished then you can just as easily say KH3 is already going to be an unfinished game because Nomura cut out the intro of the game and sold it as KH0.2.

Type-0 is literally a mission based game.

XV is an open world narrative based game where you can go off doing optional side content.

In Type-0 the mission structure is the main game.

We've been over this before, XV-kun. Before Versus became XV it was handled by a ridiculously small team, and many were preoccupied by other projects. Nomura had no control over this, he was just following the whims of the upper echelon

Shinji Hashimoto despite being "producer" on XV is not a creative person, he is an executive, aka he is a suit.

He was not involved in the actual day to day development of the game or really any game he is credited for, he just manages the budget.

The director is the one there with the team in the trenches managing stuff to do with game development, and Tabata is also the head of the entire business division 2 on top of that which includes the advanced technology division, so not only was he busy directing XV since Dec 2013 but he's also been in charge of an entire division.

He's great, pretty much every single interview he's ever done has people comment on how great Tabata is in person and how it's a farcry from the usual Japanese devs they interview who always seem so distant and unaware.

XV was fantastic despite the flaws, and it's being made better with every update.
