Not enough games on it right now. I already have Mario Kart 8 and Zelda on the Wii U, so there's no reason to drop 300+ on a new console and controllers for those two games, and Splatoon 2 isn't going to make me get the console for it alone. Something like Bayonetta 3, Wonderful 1001 or a new Monster Hunter (i.e. not a port) would make it an instant-purchase, but between Splat 2, Mario Odyssey, and Prime 4, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I crack and pick one up.

A better question, why buy a first release Nintendo console? Especially a Handheld.

Because it will be the same in five years. Maybe more memory. Or one that weighs 0.0001 grams lighter. Nothing worth waiting for

I really like the idea of it but i won't buy a 270 quid console to play a single game, maybe i'll buy it in a years time after mario and some others come out.

With all those cooling issues i keep hearing about, i think i'll wait for the second revision of the system before buying it. I'm just afraid to buy it then a more powerful version comes down the road.

I wanted to wait for Spla2n to come out but there are none in stock. Trust me I'm no fat neckbeard, I checked local retail
