Do you regret buying this Sup Forums? I honestly have a lot of fun playing with friends but playing alone is just awful.

yes, no nigga is buying either

TELL ME MORE. Looks like a lot of fun to me. I'm watching streamers fumble with it but I can totally see a lot going on with the game.

It's great.

Eh...I wasn't a fan of the demo stress test before launch, and there really hasn't been anything shown yet (DLC wise) that has made me want to buy it currently.

I like it, but I do regret it a little. Not a lot since I got it for $40 because of Amazon Prime, though.

I love it.
Only accptable online mode solo is ranking, because basket, 1vs1vs1 etc are AWFUL with online strangers but incredibly fun with friends.

So far I'm addicted more than i could imagine.
The real fun begins when you start get the real hang of it, timing punshes, curving, baiting the opponent into punches, manouvering etc.

Its really easy to play(my normie friends played it and enjoyed it on the first fucking round)but incredibly deep and hard to master.

cant wait to see some new characters. Only thing it lacks right now is a good character roster-the chars themselves are great, but i would love 2-3 more.

yes

its a meme game that was only being pushed by reddit. i should've gotten Horizon instead

No, I didn't expect an amazing game when I bought it. It's good for a bit of fun (and anger) now and then. Also there's more content every now and then, which is great to check up on.

I am still very on the fence about this game. I didn't try the demos and with splatoon 2 around the corner i dont think it will hold my attention for the multiplayer aspect.

Is the single player any good?

no

>Is the single player any good?
absoluetely not.
You have a very basic arcade mode with a single, badly drawn image as the ending, and that's it.
You have the " versus", which you can tailor as a practice mode, and "actual" pratcice mode with a few trials to get the grip of the game, usually a cpu that spam a certain move, and that's basically it.

Mp is godlike tho.

figures

Thanks for the straight answer

This is the first game in my life that made me fucking ragequit. I fucking suck at those type of games, i don't know why it would be different this time.

Level 5, i played as Master Mummy and i spend over an hour trying to beat Ribbon Girl until i gave up.

This will probably the first game in my life that i will sell. I will never git gud and i don't want to spend more time on this shit.

You were unlucky tho.
Ribbon girl counters master mummy so hard its not even fun.

your main problem is focusing too hard on winning. just go into party mode and have fun

also the cpu reads inputs heavily level 4 and upwards. don't worry about it

>inputs heavily level 4 and upwards
not really.
lv4 becomes easy mode when you become decent, lv 6 is challenging and, well, lv 7 is actually pretty hard. Couldnt beat fucking hedlok 7 yet.

Yes, there's no content and you have to grind for more arms.

Nope. I love the game.

Its clunky and generally not very good, no clue why people thought it would be some serious competitive game.

this is my biggest complain
it takes waaay too much time.

Little trick:
only go for the 200 coins one.
i usually get at least 3 times the ARMS i would otherwise get from 100 coins.

Of course the input reads get better with each level, but it's still pretty bad on level 4, especially if you don't know what you're doing.

200 doesn't help. There are 330 ARMS to unlock and the number will only grow with more characters that they add. It doesn't help that you can unlock the same arm twice for some godforsaken reason.

Great game so far. I wish more casualzied fighting games took risks like it to make things a little different.

It's also somewhat a workout for your arms, especially if you play while using weight bracelets.

i tought lv 4 could anticipated my every move.
It doesn't.
It only reacts to the same move over and over, and very predictable imputs.
they made a good job with the AI since I can actually feel when I get better, and playing against cpu doesn't feel like a waste of time for once.
haven't say you don't have to grind(which sucks hard).
I said it goes a lot faster using 200.
And yeah, it sucks and i wish they would make you at least choose which character you want the ARMS for.

i mean, the number of unlockables is onoy going to get bigger with the addiction of every new character...

I like it. It's doing the Splatoon thing where it launches pretty bare bones, but gets periodically updated with new content for free. The core game is very enjoyable and even by myself, I like studying how to best play my character and which ARMS loadout I enjoy having

When you're a newbie level 4 feels fucking impossible because you're very predictable. I imagine the guy I replied to is pretty new.
