I can only seem to make spaghetti bases in Factorio. Is there any other way of organizing a base other than buses? Buses seem are too complicated and a lot of work for me. Combiners, putting things off and on the bus, and multiple items on a giant bus just seems out of reach for me. Just putting down conveyors to whatever resource needs to go wherever is simple enough but make it to where I have no room in my base/can't keep track of anything. Any help on making buses simple or any other ways to organize a base?

make a buss, even if its seems like alot of work and tweking, its worth it in the longrun
If you can't figure advanced bases, make a main-bus with all your shit on it.
>2-4 belts of Iron
>1-2 belts of Copper
>Belt of Coal if you don't have Electric Furnaces yet (You do so skip)
>That weaponry
>Those nearby nests
Make a ton of Shotgun rounds and get cleaning and expanding.
look up /egg/ on /vg/
It also makes the game way more fun, you can focus on the making a good factory without worrying about organizational stuff. It just works for you.
For a second there, i thought this was Loss.
I spawned on an island last game, then expanded to a bigger island. Pretty good.
Though it made me realize that biters are just annoying late game if you want to expand. I'll probably disable enemy expansion from now on.
If you turn off Expansion, remember to crank up density. Cause otherwise, you'll end up smashing through basic nests that are slowly generating a smattering of huge enemies, which is boring.

It's really not that hard.
You also only have to bus the really core materials.
Fuck main busses!

>tfw only have a single toe into angel+bobs mods and I have no idea what the fuck I am doing
It feels like I'm playing Factorio for the first time all over again, but with more headaches.

I tried to start it, but I gave up really quickly. It's so hard to get anywhere. I need to make a really big vanilla factory before I get anywhere with that shit.
I found it really helpful for a mod to give you a bunch of items to start out with. Even then the amount of resources needed to start up even a small base is ridiculous. I've had to cheat several times just to barely crawl through it.

Do you have to be autistic to enjoy this game?
>all those mixed belts
Mixed belts? What are you talking about?
To play it at its fullest? Very.
To enjoy it? Not at all.
the game needs flying aliens
Its fun to keep things chaotic.
It's fun to stuff your entire base inside a single Mark 3 Factorissimo Factory.
I made a spaghetti base with both Bob's and Angel mods installed at the same time. Took 100 hours to fire the rocket. Halfway through I had to get a void chest mod to destroy items because the 200k space warehouses of junk were all getting full.
If you install a mod that evolves biters as you research things that would help
1 bump cause Factorio is fun.
