Not even close. Not even the hardest in its series.
it's up there. I've only beaten using Saveme code.
name a harder CV
X68k, Haunted Castle
It has a few parts I really hate. Good thing it has branching paths.
Rondo
>Rondo
>Anywhere near as difficult as 3
Its also got this, what were they thinking?
rondo is a cakewalk
see
>Not Ghouls and Goblins
You got to play more games, OP.
The fuck you're talking about?
Akumajou Densetsu had better sound that this crappy port
Funny thing is most people say CVIII is a hard game but don't even know about the second loop through the game in which enemies do more damage and stuff
The Dark Souls of NES action platformers!
I still haven't beaten the second loop, the flying skulls are too much for me. Someday I'll do it.
X68000 wasn't as hard. Haven't played Haunted Castle though.
I beat the second loop on the JP version but I'm a bit scared of doing it on the US version.
>Throw down the holy water
>It hugs the top of the screen
Except Akumajou Densetsu is easier because enemies do less damage.
>Haunted Castle
This, that game isn't fun at all.
gl without using save states
Konami always make JP versions a little easier...
Do you remember Contra Hard Corps?
Yep, the JP version had 3 life bars, and the US version you killed every time you taking hit...
literally Simon's Quest was harder especially if you haven't been told anything about the game.
It isn't, it's just a shitty cheap arcade cash in with nothing but cheap traps and memorization. At least it's
which was the genesis mickey game where you could play as Mickey or Donald and there was a flying carpet level where Mickey would summon by goiung ALAKAZAM?
Nip or amerifat version?
I found X68000 harder. 3 has some ridiculous parts but they are either skippable or can be made easier by using the character abilities (Syfa's magic is very helpful). x68k has the high damage enemies but far less options to deal with them. Don't bother with Haunted Castle, it's a shit game. The only reason to play it is for the great soundtrack and if you really REALLY like memorization.
World of Illusion?
You don't have to lie to make friends.
Castlevania 1 was hard. I never got far in that.
2 I never played.
3 I remember getting pretty far, so I guess it wasn't that hard.
Even Dracula X is harder.
Castlevania 1 is about a 7 on difficulty
Castlevania 2 is about a 5 if you know what you're doing
Castlevania 3 is easily an 9+ once you get to the later stages.
pretty sure that was zelda ii
still a inferior game than battle of the olympus
What's 10?
>Hardest game ever made coming through
Nah, I've beaten it, and I'm not very good at games.
Ninja Gaiden 3 US version
I thought you meant Castlevania. Otherwise all of these games are pretty low-tier on the difficulty scale compared to arcade games. Shmups especially. NG3 is only bad if you're using credits.
How do I get Sypha? I watched some gameplay videos online to see if anyone else got her but they always go for Alucard
Just don't go into the swamp after the first forest level.
After the first level, take the lower path.
>tfw brother was older than me so I got to play all his video games as a kid
>tfw beating these three as a shitty 5 year old kid
>Castlevania : the Adventure
>last level + Dracula because there is no checkpoint
It's not random enough to be the hardest.
>that video pause
Hey, that exaggerated the length by about 1 1/2 seconds. It's not so bad when you take in account that time, FAKE NEWS. :^)
CV1 was just the right difficulty as far as NES games go. Tough, but infinite continues and very doable if you just play it enough. I guess CV3 was technically the same but I found it to be a lot more frustrating for some reason.
I'm glad someone finally noticed. I had to check to make sure it was recording.
