how much did they wind up costing?

What is this?

>SDVITA V1.0

Fucking finally, where are they selling them?

aliexpress.com/item/For-PSVita-game-card-to-micro-SD-TF-card-adapter-SD2Vita-for-PS-Vita-1000-2000/32821517355.html

>people actually waited 6 years to buy a vita so they could save 30 dollars on a memory card
AHAHAHAHAHHAHA now enjoy your overpriced used vitas and new vitas thanks to henkaku

>PSVita game card to micro SD/TF

Oh user...

Will this work on a pstv?

Man. Does psvita even have games?

It has a shitton of them, but if you don't already know about them, then they're clearly not for you.

More than the 3DS and less shovelware too. Unless you're a filthy casual and only like Pokemon

Mainstream game support ended as soon as the PS4 was announced. Its been all anime and cheap ports since.

How long till I get every emulator up to the psx running on it?

Can I play Caligula with Heikaku ?

So you don't need to FTP transfer files over wireless any more? That's nice, but everyone who cared about free Vita games already has the setup going so I don't understand the appeal.

No.

Cheaper storage? Now I regret selling my vita.

Yes, theres the nip version that runs in 3.60 english patched
Overclock that shit tho
youtube.com/watch?v=DAITJiAioPg

>FTP
That's outdated. You can directly connect a Vita to a computer with VitaShell.

Honestly? Not really. All of the good games have already been ported to other systems. The library that people love to gush about in vita threads are all mediocre animu waifu games that on occasion have an interesting gimmick or two that's poorly utilized or hidden behind grind. The only reason to pick up a Vita is if you're willing to slog through a 3-4/10 game for the sake of 1 generic animu waifu.

So this is essentially a Vita flashcart, right?

Oh, that's cool.

Seriously poor bait

Lel. I basacily fucked with the best buy people to get the flash card below market price. At the time they had this promo where Best Buy would match internet prices. I printed out a fake Amazon.com page where it said the price for a 32gb cart was like 35 dollars and it worked. Get fucked.

Nice. Cheapest I got were the 16 gb that gamestop was selling for $20.

Hes right tho

Its an adapter to read SD cards using the Vita Game Card port. The henkaku piracy expoit people said was "fucking nothing" is still needed

Nice. I bought a used one for 40 bucks a couple years ago. Pretty good price.

>15 bucks
I'll wait for gen 2 for 5 bucks.

>damage control

lol

No, it's a way to get around the retarded pricing of memory cards, and probably avoid the read errors that come with the low quality official cards, too.

It'll be funny to see if the SD load times are faster or not, the Sony cards use some the cheapest storage imaginable. I'm looking forward to putting a 64gb card in and never worrying about it again.

I think the community figured out it was a problem with "asia" units that actually had a different amount of storage available

...

DQB is quite comfy.

After this game I don't know anymore honestly. Might be forced to get Switch at this rate.

3.61 games still can't be played?

Never Ever senpai

Just weebshit

not worth it then

I have a vita that I haven't touched in years. It's running on firmware 3.0. Is there any way I can jailbreak it and get free games? I'm tech illiterate so please tell me. I'm afraid to update the thing now.

Absolutely DO NOT get a Vita unless you want weebshit and indie pc ports. It's emulation is stuttery garbage.

>$10
>shipping not included
Overpriced.

Really now?

So serious. It was lost in the back of a car for the longest time.

I got a 64gb Vita card, but I'll still grab one of these. (I'll try to get one of the non-chinese ones first though)

You wouldn't believe all the attempts it took me to get a genuine 2xMicroSD photofast PSP adapter. So many cheap fakes out there that just literally fall to pieces instantly.
And even then a genuine one is still a bit on the frail side. (Mine split a bit)

How is 16gb user? Is it enough for weebs? I am poorfags

>stuttery garbage
I'll give you weeb shit, that's pretty much par for the course, but I've been running retroarch on it for my emulation of almost everything lately, also the RPG maker port works well too.
of course it is, the first wave pays for the convenience of being lazy you're right though not worth till price drop
Yeah, if you have the space to store spare games on your computer, you can find programs that will do what the Content Manager does without the firmware lock. So you can easily switch out what games are on that one card on the fly.

If you're into VNs disguised as JRPG/Crawler moe shovelware yeah, otherwise no.

Nobody seems to be mentioning that you can natively run every psp and ps1 game on it with hax. Look up adrenaline

I'm using 16gb right now, it's absolutely not enough. I think I've got about 4 games on there, with half a dozen others I want to play too.

32 is really the bare minimum, with 64 being enough space to fit the majority of games you want.

>you can easily switch out what games are on that one card on the fly.
And then lose your saves, and spend 20 hours waiting for the file transfer because anything that isn't packed into a single file will take that long to move.

>I'll try to get one of the non-chinese ones first though
Those are at best equal in quality to this one.

Well you lose them if you don't move them, you can access your saves with it as well... Seems like you missed that option?

>tfw I updated to play games that are post 3.60
At least I played everything I wanted now.

My 16gb card has hardly anything on it, and I just leave it in the PSTV (which I'll get a cheap HDD for anyway)
All you would get on a 16 is about 3-4 games at a time on it. (Which is fine I guess for some. But some games are like 4GB+)

I buy a LOT of games. Usually in sales. I actually pretty much owned every Vita game worth owning pre-3.60 anyway.
I had a 128gb memory card in my PSP. About 80% of those were legit games I owned and bought in the sale or had on disc.

I got a 128gb in my hacked 3DS's and they are pretty much full. (And I owned most of the 3DS library pre-Paper Jam anyway)

This one said it doesn't ship to my country.
Which makes me sad.

But I like anime....

Japan has never made a handheld game worth playing so the Vita has absolutely jack shit in terms of game library.

damn, its almost here

Games, yes.
Good ones, not really.

I had a Vita for a few days and hacked it as soon as I got it. The GBA and SNES emulator stuttered and I couldn't get it to stop. I also tried PS1 emulation and it was nearly flawless but then the games started looking like a corrupted mess.

For fucks sake it doesn't even have a good port of Doom. VitaDoom has no sound.

To be fair putting a variety of games on a 16gb is not ideal, and only really a great idea if you know what you want and when, and since I'm not too picky I know what I wanna play. So I throw a few never remove indie titles, and then remove anything I finish. So may have a point if you're more picky than I am and like having options.

The only Vita game I gave a shit about was Ys 8, but now it's coming to PC so I no longer give a shit

Oh, you used standalones, just use retroarch man, it's always preferable. The others are cheap bits made for the Wololo homebrew competition.

It has very particular kinds of games, has a specific niche. If you don't like visual novels or JRPGs it's probably not for you. These aren't the only games it has, but it's most of them.

Also Retroarch offers a Doom core, so you can infact play it with sound.

wait, so it goes in the gamecard slot, no soldering needed?

But I did use Retroarch?

why is that a question

To be honest, I'm just the sort of guy that likes trying to max out potential of his hardware and have everything all in one place if I can.

Thats why I even hack in the first place. I'd rather have my Wii U with two HDDs attatched to it, than have my Wii, WiiU, and Gamecube all setup in one spot, and switching discs out constantly. (Since the WiiU can do all three quite happily now)

But I did use Retroarch.

Happy?

I'd never run Wii and GC games on a Wii U, they look much better through a Wii on a CRT.

HDMI is pure cancer for SD.

I know this feel.

Literally the only reason I bought a Vita was to have a PSP/PS1/SNES/GBA in one device.

This one has free shipping so it's cheaper

Also reminder that you can get a 3.60 mainboard
aliexpress.com/store/product/For-PSV-1000-2000-Motherboard-PCB-Circuit-Wifi-or-3G-Main-board-3-6-System-Version/1540541_32732953078.html

That's bizarre, I have no issues with Retroarch, I played mostly SNES and GBA titles as well. However I did also play Quake and Doom, and the standalone Quake port is good, but yeah the Doom port is trash. I have no idea where the stuttering came from unless you were on a really early port of Retroarch, it was choppy at first but by the end of the first month we had fairly accurate and good quality emulation.

Yeah I do that with my computer but that's because I have WAY more space than I know what to do with, but I know how to ration out data from being a poorfag with a modded PSP and a 4gb memory stick.

That's pretty neat. Now we just have to wait for them to make games for it.

What if like jrpg but hate vn?

>CRT and component meme

kys

Is this a hardware mod, or does the adapter stick out of the memory card slot?

>meme
>implying hes not right
You can enjoy the simplicity of doing what's easy, for you and he can enjoy what looks good.

Do you need to jailbreak your vita to use this? I've been keeping mine updated so I'm not sure if it would work.

Yeah, you do. You can buy a 3.60 motherboard for 20 bucks or so though, just make sure it's a 3G first gen.

>He can enjoy the simplicity of doing what's easy, for him and you can enjoy what looks good.

Fixed that for you.

>Using a Vita for emulation when the New 3DS exists
Do you like shoddy upscaling or something? The New 3DS has the PERFECT screen for retro emulation. 240p pixel perfection. No need for filters or anything.

Only thing the Vita has over it is (buggy) PS1 emulation.

I thought it just make any miroSD card usable without doing anything else???

Im guessing the 3DS cant do n64?

Neither can the Vita.

No console wars, just checking.
I still use my OG DS for handhelds but would switch if i could have n64 on my N3DS

The 3DS screen is pure garbage, though. 1:1 pixel count doesn't matter much when it has all the other problems.

No, you need some kind of unsigned code for the drivers and to mount the drive.

Nah, the IPS model's screen is great. OLED means nothing when the games look like pixelated diarrhea.

>when it has all the other problems.
Like mura and burn-in, right? lmao

Vita 1k has one of the shittiest OLED panels i've ever seen
