I'm reading a lot of good feedbacks, how's Update 2?
Warframe
>Update 2
ops, I mean update 21
Well they altered the grind
Added new features to the grind
New locations to grind
New missions to grind
New weapons to grind for
Movement options to use while grinding
Warframes to grind as
Options to buy to lessen the grind.
>le grind meme
do you prefer a 20 hours game?
This is how all mmorpgs work, user.
Whose the cutest Warframe and why is it Mag?
damn angry joe been doing some neck curls, swole af neck right there
Its all the same shit.
It takes a lot of work to pump all that blood into his face to keep it red.
What's his name again?
Perturbed Pedro
Mag is useless.
Probably infertile aswell.
I don't see a problem here.
What's the point of having a qt tenno waifu if you cannot produce an even cuter tenno loli?
Did you photoshop this photo??
She still looks cute and fuggable. Also how do you impregnate a fleshy robot?
Assblasted alihandro.
>can't do high level until you have the meta mods and weapons
>once you get them there is nothing left to accomplish
>just do the exact same thing over and over a thousand times in a row
Don't fall for the skinner box.

bbbbbBBBRRRRRR
Will I be lost if I jump into this game, now?
Lost? There is no real PVP element, not one that is anywhere near playable that is. Everything meaningful is PVE, and you can solo everything, so you wouldn't ever be lost. Its just grind waiting to get the right drops so you can keep grinding the exact same maps over and over.
The story and lore gets progressively worse as time goes on. There isn't much appeal beyond looking cool on the surface.
Most of the cool looking weapons aren't even viable against high level enemies, its just throw away trash that you grind for experience. Thats the entire core of the game. Build things, grind them, throw them away.
>Most of the cool looking weapons aren't even viable against high level enemies
?
DE Rebecca thread?
DE Rebecca thread.
There's a fun game somewhere inside Warframe, but it's so obscured by billions of layers of grind that you can't ever see it.
Like if you imagined Warframe as a $60 game where you got a new weapon unlocked every time you cleared a mission, and a new frame every time you cleared a planet, and the melee mechanics weren't locked away behind the mod-drop system, you can picture it being a fun game.
It's just that it's shredded to pieces so each piece can be hidden behind endless goddamn grind
This. I feel like the game only starts after you get all of the frames and a properly modded weapon.
That said, I'm 300+ hours in and still working on getting the frames. I'm down to only a couple left, Vauban Prime being the big one
Spicy Sanchez
Thats a heinously ugly shit heap.
Tiberon isn't viable.
Supra is barely viable, but is an inaccurate bullet hose.
Opticor is just a repackaged bow that operates the same way. Incapable of handling mobs, not viable.
Stradavar isn't viable.
Latron Prime can put out the damage with the right build, but low fire rate will get you overwhelmed by high level mobs. Sadly not viable.
Braton Prime isn't viable. Damage is way, way too low. Its the shittiest of the Primes.
Burston Prime isn't viable unless you use a macro, and that will get you banned.
Even the Soma Prime falls off in usefulness extremely fast, and you'll run out of ammo anyway.
Both the Burston Prime and Some Prime need cosmetic skins to not look retarded.
Hind, Karak, and every other non Prime? Don't even bother trying. They're incapable of competing with the meta Primes no matter what mods you put on them.
Want a shotgun? Better use the Tigris Prime or Hek with the mod because everything is trash, and the Kohm sleek is gone.
Snipers? Don't bother. There isn't a single reason why these actually exist in the game.
Bows? Exact same issue.
Launchers? Theres almost something here, but they keep nerfing the Tonkor so don't bother.
In each category there are only a couple weapons with a couple specific builds that are viable for clearing rooms at high level. If you play a non solo match without using the right builds you're going to be slow, and you're going to be a drain on your team mates.

My wake-up call was when DE released their 5-years player stats or whatever and if you did the math, more than half of Warframe's regular player base had literally never even crafted a frame.
The only people getting anything substantial out of the content are the people paying big fucking bucks to skip the grind. Everyone else has already done literally everything there is to do in-game by the time they unlock the cool stuff.
Like there's a guitar hero frame that gets stat buffs for attacking in-time to the music. That's so fucking cool, and nobody is ever going to use it because it's not useful for post-30-min T4 Key survival (or whatever the fashionable high-level end game is now) and by the time you unlock it, that's all that remains to do.
The game is still pointless grind. Did you really expect anything to change? I'd call it a more involved clicker game.
That was the only one I had.
Octavia would be a lot better if the timing for the music wasn't so precise on your teammates, and if her 1 + 2 were a bit more reliable for CC. As it stands, if you bring her for teambuffs or for CC, other frames are just better/more reliable. A big problem with a lot of the frames right now desu
>. That's so fucking cool, and nobody is ever going to use it because it's not useful for post-30-min T4 Key survival (or whatever the fashionable high-level end game is now) and by the time you unlock it, that's all that remains to do.
Hardly anyone plays a mission beyond DEAC, for those even capable of lasting 30min to start.
They desperately need to re-work sapping ospreys and parasitic eximus, makes any-thing remotely high-level (especially eximus strongholds) tedious and not fun

Grumpy Gringo
wats goin on here
>The only people getting anything substantial out of the content are the people paying big fucking bucks to skip the grind.
difference from other grindfests is Warframe actually makes you want to buy plat and if you can't afford it you can trade for it with other players
now how many MMO games allow you to trade for a store currency?
also fuck off with your reddit editing
But that's the point. I get that her viability is limited when the margin for error is zero, but it would be neat to do that running Saturn or something.
The frame is hidden behind end-game content, but useless to players who have hit that state. I'd say that's true of like 75-80% of the content DE makes anymore, it's just aimed at the players doing nothing but running endgame grind for the sake of completionist autism.
PR slut turned on by big, juicy mobile app arsenal improvements
>Doesn't knows how Burston Prime operates with syndicate and rivens
>Can't fucking even into Dread basic bazillion fucking crit damage
>Doesn't knows what Rakta Cernos, Zarr, Vectis Prime, or every weapon really that can benefit from either crits or 100% status chance
I would laugh at you but you're probably serious and think that Naramon builds is the only way to go.
what happened to this reviewer? i remember him being smaller
>The frame is hidden behind end-game content, but useless to players who have hit that state.
It's a F2P game. They have to entice the lazy folks to just buy the frame with plat.
...
>Latron Prime can put out the damage with the right build, but low fire rate will get you overwhelmed by high level mobs. Sadly not viable.
Riven? Punchthrough?
REMOVE
POTATO
>difference from other grindfests is Warframe actually makes you want to buy plat and if you can't afford it you can trade for it with other players
Is that the excuse you use for the fact that making the game remotely fun to play would cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars, far more than a game like Warframe is worth?
Terrifying
>I don't know how to use Gott's calc and check numbers in the sim: The Post
The joke here is that you're the clueless shitter and you won't ever even know enough to realize it. TTK and ability to hit multiple targets matters.
Get the best Riven possible, say you get a miraculous roll and you get no real negative aspects on it. The Latron is still going to end up inferior to another weapon with a higher fire rate.
The concept of Riven mods themselves is just a bandaid to address the broken and useless weapon stats in the game.
>hundreds of dollars
I spent $25 on plat with a 75% discount, and it's lasted me over 7 months thus far. Gotten way more playtime out of it than any $60 game I've purchased in the past two years.
Yeah, I understand that. But TF2 is a F2P game and you don't have to spend $500 (or 9,000 hours grinding) making it into a functional game just so you can start to have fun with it.
I get the whole "pay to not grind" concept but Warframe takes it to such absurd extremes even Koreans would be taken aback.
ember a best

How many actual things have you crafted, though.
I got months and months out of Warframe too, running my starter xCal and basic entry gear. When I realized getting anything substantial demanded replaying boss missions dozens and dozens of times hoping for multiple random blueprint drops just for a chance to start crafting (if you had all the other shit that crafting required) was when I dropped the game.
I want to splooge on that woman
>How many actual things have you crafted, though.
All of them? I'm MR20, and 95% of my plat use was towards warframe/weapon slots exclusively. The other 5% for the premium Frost skin when that got community voted.
Okay. I guess have fun, then, I can't conceive of anybody actually enjoying speedrunning the same mind-numbing missions literally hundreds of times over and over hoping for random drops, but if you're into it then I wish you god speed.
>speedrunning the same mind-numbing missions literally hundreds of times over and over hoping for random drops
I'm playing this game because the shooting and skills are fun, if you don't like that then Warframe is not for you user.
The core gameplay loop is fun, and it's a fantastic podcast listening game.
>I can't conceive of anybody actually enjoying speedrunning the same mind-numbing missions literally hundreds of times over and over hoping for random drops
Outside of some rare stance mods, Warframe isn't remotely as bad in this regard compared to other full-priced popular games, like the MH series.
who /LatoVandal/ here?
>tfw miss Telos Boltice for crate farming and not its stupid AoE dps potential
>played 300 hours on console

how long does the fun last in early game
I kinda like being a loli. But it does ruin the frames, I agree.

i miss my warbros #1
Seven Pesos Hesus
Excited for weapon making and naming, though I'm sure it'll be locked behind a billion hours and grindwalls
I want a goddamn single bladed greatsword already, and I'm sure Galatine prime will still beat it out in all categories
it still lets you go fast
I miss coptering
Why would a need a hub in Warframe. I don't use the Relay. I only use the ship and chat and farm my Kuva. Why would DE waste their time on this stuff?
>Umbra quest speculated to be about the option to ditch your operator, appeasing both sides of the community
>it's probably going to be nothing of the sort, and we're stuck with the potato children forever now
Hysteric Hispanic
tfw drank the kuva and scared of future negative repercussions
I didn't even know it was bad until afterwards my friend was like "Dude you just made the evil choice"
If you hold out any hope for DE's writing you're deceiving yourself. Its trash because the people in charge are trash.
Its trash because Warframe is a minimal investment cash cow.
People who pay DE money aren't going to suddenly start dropping more cash on plat if they revitalize the lore and gameplay. They're going to pay money for frames, they'll pay to skip grind, they'll pay for cosmetics. Thats what this demographic of whales does. Every cash shop game has these.
DE investing real time into making a compelling and competent story would mean a waste of resources on their part so it won't ever happen.
The autists on /vg/ came up with thousands of pure gold ideas that would radically change Warframe into a real polished gem. Though everything they could come up with will only ever be fanfiction.
>Tfw also drank the kuva
>Finished the chains of harrow quest recently
>My tenno is sitting on the codex table thing
>confused and approach it
>HEY KIDDO
I do actually
>tfw didn't drink kurwa
>made all the good mass effect choices
>worried I'll get screwed over with some gay defensive skill/power instead of an xxAnimeWeedLord420xx edgemaestro scaling damage thing
there's no winning with these fuckers
They've said before that the "morality" meter will be able to be changed in more than just quests. I think they mentioned something about being able to feed Helminth capture targets for evil points. If they ever do tie some mechanic in with it, it'll probably be changable.
I've actually encountered the kid ghost two more times later on as well since doing that quest.
Once it was sitting on the shop counter, other time it was peering from behind the hallway next to the armory.
