This is it? This is what PC gaming has become?

>Normies buying normie games.
Yes, vidya has become main stream.
So what?
What's the problem here?
Even 3 years ago it was decent. Normie, but decent.
Now we literally have a 40 dollar sticker pack for csgo in the top selling.
Blazblue and Farming Simulator on top sellers is not very mainstream. Fucking PUB is.
Are you going to say what you think is wrong here, or is this it-- this is all the effort your willing to put into your bait?
All the top selling games are shit or boring or a fucking sticker pack.
I bought one of the Blazblue games and Xrd...some mega package that was like 12 euros.
What exactly is the problem?
I repeat, there's a fucking sticker pack in the top selling.
Valve games always sell weird shit when they have championships.
You are triggered easily. No one forces you to eat any of this corporate garbage. Hell, why do you even care about what's in top selling? People who are outraged at some hung like this aren't much better than the people buying those products. Just ignore and move on.
There is no justifying the fact that there's a 40 dollar sticker pack in the top selling.
Don't see anything wrong here.
You don't see anything wrong with a 40 dollar sticker pack being in the top selling?
We've really gotten to a point where this is acceptable?
>This is it? This is what PC gaming has become?
Post what you think should be the top 10 sellers according to your supposedly rarified taste.
That's kinda the secondary point I'm making.
There really isn't any good games recently on PC. I can't recommend anything really. The most recent game I can recommend is Witcher 3 but that's like 3 years old.
>We've really gotten to a point where this is acceptable?
People can spend their money on what they like, I'd love to be a fly on the wall and see the bullshit you waste cash and time on.
several thousand games won't fit in your pointless picrelated, OP
It's probably faggots buying it to sell for a profit on the marketplace, earning Valve even more money in the process. Wouldn't surprise me either if it was pushed into the 'hot and popular' lists to gain advertising attention.
But what does corporate business practices have to do with PC gaming as a whole?
- Quake Champions
- Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord
- Mordhau
- Star Citizen
- Camelot Unchained
- Ashes of Creation
- Wild West Online
- Project Wight
- Scorn
- La-Mulana 2
- Ghost Song
Not a 40 dollar virtual sticker pack, that's for damn sure.
10 years ago people were outraged about 5 dollar horse armor in Oblivion.
Now we have literally 40 dollar virtual stickers and it's fine.
PC gaming is dead to me.
one of the reasons i stopped playing games
Good riddance.
Idiots will buy what the eceleb they are obessed with plays without thinking, nothing out of the ordinary.
BioShock infinite was and still is the most overrated game of all time behind n64 zeldas
blazblue on front page!
...
This.
I just torrent and emulate now.
Nobody even liked bioshock infinite
>letting counterstrike, indie, mmos, and early access through your filters
See? All you guys can do to refute this is posting meme images. There's no logical debate going on here at all because it's impossible to intelligently defend this.
>blazblue and Total warhammer
? What's wrong?
I miss pc gaming in 1995-2005 at least I enjoyed it to the fullest with my pentiums and 3d accelerated gpus. Now PC is just the 3rd platform of choice for multiplats.
how is this better?
western developers!
No exaggeration, today's steam page has overall better games than this one you posted
Also doom is on sale for $15. I almost don't believe that it isn't a top seller
>ignores all input regarding his poorly made thread
>lalalala I can't hear you
>why is everyone mocking me??
Expeditions vikings, Styx 2, prey, and dishonored 2 are all great games that are exclusively good on the pc
God, I'm so glad the Bioshock Infinite shitposting is over. Can't remember the last time afterwards we had so much shitposting just because of one game, like that.
Just say bannerlord for everybody's sake. I like quake champions too but until it's out of beta and on steam I won't be playing it
There is nothing to refute. All these threads are just crying about what other people spend their money on when you can just ignore it, or platform war garbage where people post steam and ignore that most played on every other platform is even worse
...
That was fun posting, though. Witcher 3 got the absolute worst hardcore shitposting of all time. Still happens to this day.
youtu.be
>inteligent debate
>on Sup Forums
xd
What other people spend their money on DOES affect you, though. When everyone buys macbooks, other computer manufacturers try to make their computers like macs. When everyone buys skyrim, other game makers try to make their games like skyrim. When everyone watches marvel movies, other studios try to follow suit with other cinematic universes.
>Now we literally have a 40 dollar sticker pack for csgo in the top selling.
Don't pretend that ever hasn't been the case. In the golden age of TF2, every game that offered TF2 items for preordering was always in the top seller list.
>DUDE Sup Forums SUCKS I ONLY COME HERE TO SHITPOST
>My friends wonder why I moved onto consoles after years of Steam turning to shit
Early Access was a mistake.
Twitch shit being popular doesn't make it actually good. DayZ Standalone also sold like hotcakes at first.
>That was fun posting, though.
About a week before release and till about a month after release the board would get spammed with Bioshock threads on a daily basis, with a lot of them looking like obvious marketing and often Bioshock discussion would spill over into other threads unrelated to it. Even if it was just anons rustling other user's jimmies, it was still annoying as fuck.
You can't refute that.
What the fuck was everyone's problem with the game anyways? I didn't play it because I didn't like the first bioshock.
I can, because unlike rebbitors and underage faggots I actually like Sup Forums and share my actual opinions on subjects that I like and care about and have actual discussions with people as often as I can
Sup Forums is everyone's posting toilet bowl
If that is how you feel about it then get the fuck out of here and stop ruining something nice for other people. Faggots like you are destroying this place
>Early Access was a mistake.
YOU where a mistake.
It was a mediocre game that had a huge marketing campaign that went overboard with praise.
that doesn't even make sense
You first
...But he said he likes it here?
i wish there were more people like you
It's worse than mediocre though. The story is dog shit and the combat/encounter design is even worse
Pyre released? I haven't heard a single thing. Is it that bad?
the only pc games there are warhammer and csgo tho
bioshock infinite shitposting would be even worse today with Sup Forumsv/
media jews want you to think slavery was a bad thing!!
Nobody's making you buy what other people play. Choices is all that matters and thanks to the huge library of steam there's always something that suit my taste, even if it's not the flavor of the month streamer shit.
Oh god don't remind me
I actually never touched the game back then due to how insane the marketing and praise was combined with the shitposting. I've played it last year and it's just an average game that was ok. It didn't do anything groundbreaking or amazing that warranted the praise and shitposting.
Here's to hoping that system shock 3 can save the shock dudes.
>PC cucks
From top to bottom:
>pure gameplay no handholding PvP
>MMO
>pure gameplay no handholding PvP
>esports shit
>Total War
>fighter
>no idea
>simulator
>no idea
>MMO
Where's the problem? What did you want to see, Sony-style interactive AAA movies?
Oh shit, there's a new supergiant games game coming out?
>Here's to hoping that system shock 3 can save the shock dudes.
What are the actual chances of SS3 being good?
I used to buy a lot of games on steam.
Usually I would just go through new releases and watch every single game that got released. Used to be 5-10 a day max. So you could actually read the page of every game every day and pick the ones that you liked out of it.
Now the store is flooded with what feels to be thousands of games. And the "Best sellers" list isn't realiable either anymore.
I don't have the time to look through thousands of games to find the hidden gem I specifically would like to play according to my personal taste.
So what happened is that I just stopped buying things. I also play a lot less indie games. Simply because I can't choose what to play. I have no indication to know which games are good or bad and there are thousands of them.
In the end the oversupply and hard to discover games led me to just drop it altogether and only play 2-3 games a year now.
This is all steam's fault and they are actively pushing away people like me that used to buy 20-30 games a year and actually play and finish them.
Is Pyre finally out?
>This is all steam's fault and they are actively pushing away people like me that used to buy 20-30 games a year and actually play and finish them.
You're acting like they care.
They're making BANK from new, younger users buying sticker packs and early access survival games.
