I know it's divisive around here, but this game gave me something that i have not experienced since. Fighting an ogre, severely underleveled, low on healing items, with no idea of what the map looked like or what awaited me on the other side of the cave was an experience I will never forget.

I'm actually torn. I'm not sure what Itsuno's game is. I think there's a higher chance that it's a new DD, but a new DMC is just as possible. I think they're trying to spark interest again in the series for the sequel with this remaster

one thing with this game is I wish the navigation were done without the use of the map. It almost feels like a perfect fusion of sweet action combat and fantasy roleplay, but I never felt like it actually achieved truly good adventuring navigation, such as using landmarks, signposts, and dialog descriptions to find places. The closest to that was having to learn your way around the witch's forest, which was fun, but everything else has a big flashing marker on the map so you can guide yourself in a straight line there

It wont matter how many gajin throw money at it, its the domestic market they care about. The original DD did poorly in nipland, it arguably had very good global sales.

I know Capcom loves re-releasing their games with slightly updated versions, but come on. How many versions of the same game do people need to buy/support before they realize a sequel may be successful? I know DD didn't sell amazingly in general and is a bit of a diamond in the rough, but you'd think they would get the hint that there is a serious consumer base for the series. If they came out with a sequel that polishes the game up, makes the world a bit tighter/more interesting to explore, pushed what went into making Dark Arisen, and marketed it better, it would sell really well.

Though this is the same company that expected Resident Evil 6 and DmC to sell what, millions and millions of copies? Add to it their latest stupidity with their franchises. Capcom has a huge opportunity right in front of them and they'd rather wallow around in making garbage like the new MvC.

Well, supposedly DD was cancelled and they're re-purposing the work for other games, so maybe.

Most games look like night and day when you compare between console versions and PC versions. Adding in a consistent frame rate and basic options related to graphics that are always on PC games isn't that much of an update. It's a glorified port. A well made port, but not much else. If they had added new dungeons, enemies, quests, or other content then it would make a huge difference.

Love is basically a number that goes from 1-100. It slowly degrades over time. You raise it with gifts a lot and talking raises it a bit. Basically what this usually means is among the people you have maxed out love the person you talked last will be your lover intrest since they will have the highest love points. Of course if you only have one character maxed out or nobody maxed out then youll probably get someone random like the merchants since those tend to naturally get pretty high affection.

Why can't they just release a version with all the scrapped content added??
