Having a DPI over 800
i do all of those.
>Knowing what any of that means
Cringe
>>using mx blues for gaming
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. It's still better than membrane, you still have to move the keys less distance to activate and deactivate than a membrane.
I go for 1400 DPI with a switch to 500
Check my 5
1300dpi
polling of 1000
I play with 3,3 sens in OW and 1.0 in cs
Using 800 dpi outside of games like counterstrike is retarded, user.
>There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. It's still better than membrane, you still have to move the keys less distance to activate and deactivate than a membrane.
Wrong.
MX blues actuate half way down and reset at the top. You have to fully release the key in order to reset it. You don't even have to do this on membranes. This means when you're doing anything that requires repeat keypresses (Basically, anything when it comes to gaming), it's less accurate and overextending your inputs. They're objectively the worst possible switch for playing games with.
At least with membranes and browns you only have to come up half way.
and what exactly is wrong with having higher polling rate? literally only excuse to use lower is because you either have a bad sensor or a computer from 1995 that drops frames from higher polling.
You also don't have to press all the way down on MX blues, though. You have to bottom out a membrane. And it's still less distance.
No you don't have to bottom out on membrane. The difference is negligible. Bottoming out isn't even an issue, the nanosecond difference between actuating a mechanical switch vs a membrane is nothing noticable. However, the fact you have fully reset a blue makes them objectively the worst possible switch for playing games with. There's no defending this point, just pseudogamer nerds with their obnoxiously loud keyboards trying to be like their favourite youtuber.
>not playing CS on 2 sensitivity.
Why even tryhard?. If you are going to cripple yourself why not play with a wireless mouse?
1) You aren't hitting 1000fps, so your inputs aren't being polled that much.
2) It increases frametime and causes stutter. Even on a 7700k, the power draw overloads a standard USB bus and all that gets pushed onto your CPU for absolutely zero benefit.
Hmm, wonder if I should trust the fact that I have an MX blue keyboard and a membrane keyboard right next to each other now or listen to some retard on a Cambodian thimble collecting forum who saw a tiny gif of an MX blue switch.
>he knows what his dpi is and is autistic enough to judge others based on it
>tfw 1200dpi
>tfw cherry blues
OP is just a poorfag using technobabble and pseudoscience to discredit things he can't afford
It's not an opinion, it's an objective fact. MX blues reset higher than any other switch, this isn't beneficial for gaming in any way.
I also have an MX blue keyboard you dumb faggot, but I'm smart enought to never use it for gaming.
>brb guys just need to unplug my keyboard
>h-h-hold on i need to switch from my voice recording mic to my gamer mic
>n-nearly there g-g-guys just plugging my CRT monitor back in
sad
>tfw Logitech G502 and Corsair k70 RGB red
>rgb got fucked so sent it in to corsair
>they are sending me the newer model for free
You're so cool and ignorant, I wish I was as nihilistic as you. Fuck video games, amirite Sup Forumsirgins?
Oh look, the reset point is right on the tactile bump that forces the switch all the way up.
Retard doesn't even know his own gear fucking lmao
When did I say I swap out my hardware? I don't. You're just asspaint you have objectively shit meme hardware because you want to be like your youtuber friend
>asspaint
visibly cringed,,,, how mad do you have to be to make autistic posts like that and invent terminology like """asspainted"""
My Logitech M500 has 1000 DPI.
Is this really that bad?
What the fuck. Are you implying that with a game that runs 60fps, you should only need to poll your mouse sensors 60 times a second? Are you retarded?
>absolutely nothing left to say except to point out typos
consider yourself raped. easy. now close the thread, loser.
dumb Drakeposter
you sound asspainted dude lol
brain fried from inventing all that technojargon and fake science??? laffin @ u desu
>What the fuck. Are you implying that with a game that runs 60fps, you should only need to poll your mouse sensors 60 times a second? Are you retarded?
This is exactly what the vast majority of games do, inputs are polled per frame. It's why people target 300fps on CSGO.
>taking videogames this seriously
ultimate cringe
DPI has nothing to do with good or bad. It's all a preference. Higher DPI just means your cursor will move more with the same amount of mouse movement than an lower DPI.
Polling rate on the otherhand is better the higher it is.
come back when you have something of value to say
bye bye!
>Being baited in a fucking useless thread
Cringe
>being this asspainted
laffin
Why do you care?
glad you concede :^)
And? The GAME polls the closest value from the mouse every 60 second but my mouse will update the latest value every 1000th of a second. The input that is read is closer to the actual value that corresponds to the physical position.
Why do you care to reply?
Becuase I have nothing to do while setting up a server
>asspaint in action
LAFFO
>The GAME polls the closest value from the mouse
No, it takes the difference between the last known input to the next. Everything else is thrown away. It's literally a waste.
>go to mouse settings
>set polling rate to lowest possible, which is 125
>move the mouse around
>it feels awful
Great thread OP
And you say there is 0 difference between sensor value during that 940 polls that the mouse would do with higher polling rate?
Unless the input was being polled on a seperate thread, then yes. The only game I'm aware of that even does this is Reflex.
You are retarded. The way the game polls the value is no indication of how precise the given input is.
Look
When a game polls the next value for mouse movement, the value will be from 16ms ago(assuming the game polls it at 60hz). If your PC is polling the mouse at 1000Hz, we know that the value will at maximum 1ms old. So the received input that is seen on the screen will around 17ms old.
But if we are polling the value from the mouse also at every 16ms(at 60hz), the value from the mouse is also from 16ms ago at worst. So at worst, your game might display an input from 32ms ago.
Of course this all depends on the timing of the polls but 1000hz polling rate means you will see the input at 16,5ms +- 1ms.
>dpi is 1400
>always topfragger
tbf he did not say to set it to 125, he said everything above 500 is cringy
Even if you did it at 500hz it would still be maximum 2ms old, which say you're running at 144hz is only ~6ms. 1000hz is pointless.
The point still stands that the input is newer which leads to more precision and less errors.
Don't know a thing of what you just said and I'm DMG in csgo, grandmaster in OW and diamond 3 and LoL
A press is a press,
you can't say it's only half
Correct. If you own a gaming keyboard with mx blue switches, you're a literal retard.
