Zesty was a case of massively wasted potential, which is part of why Berseria happened in the same world. Ultimately though the gameplay was spam armatize, the story tried to drill the "do not fall" mantra into you without any real sense of danger to it thanks to Rose, and there are plenty of parts to it that just come out of left field or don't mesh well-enough into the plot in a way that forms a cohesive narrative. I didn't hate it, it just felt like a step back from Xilla 2 which at least got the combat on point even if it was half a game in terms of story.

You probably played the popular stuff like final fantasy, so try the ones by falcom, Neptunia series is mostly not the best, but Megadimension VII is nice, and maybe tatical stuff like Valkyria Chronicles and Disgaea.
