I don't give half a fuck about Splatoon or Spla2n but even with the heavy asset reuse if I liked that game I wouldn't give a shit about buying it because it does plenty to warrant a new game for the people who play it. It didn't need to be an overhaul or totally new experience, just more of the same but expanded with more content. That's fine. They added shit like rail grinding to add to the formula and keep it fresh without huge changes that change the fundamental gameplay.

As of right now, the Ps3 technically has about 500+ games, exclusives and multiplats included. However, Sup Forums says it has zero games right now. So why would the Switch be different with an even smaller "technical" library of games?

No one played splatoon 1 because no one had a wii u, so it's technically a new game for most people.

3DS has no future. As soon as the Switch gets a mainline Pokemon game it'll be dead and buried.
Some jap devs will go mobile, but if any of them want to make a handheld game that isn't restricted by f2p mobile shenanigans and still costs less than making a console game, Switch will be their only viable option.
