Steam machines were shit, Steam link was shit too, but this is honestly my favorite controller I've ever used.

It was worth Valve ripping off Nvidia and Alienware or whoever the fuck went in on the Steam Machines to get the money to develop and make the controller. They're greedy fucks who haven't made a game in years but they did good on this one single thing.

Do people really hate this controller? It isn't great for all games, but I love it, especially as an alternative to using a full keyboard/mouse setup when just using my PC to browse the Internet or watch videos in my living room.

I own every console and a steam controller. I know which is superior through what I have used. There is a reason barely anyone bought a steam controller, the mouse and back is just superior in every way

I find it is really nice for multimedia controls and screwing around on the Internet while on the couch, and I had a good time playing Morrowind with it yesterday. Slower games like that work great on it. It definitely isn't for everyone, but it performs a lot of functions perfectly for me. I've got a LOT more use out of it than I have with my Xbox One controller.
