Can't decide on who I want to invest time in, Chipp looks cool but he supposedly really damn hard to play. I'm an intermediate at best player at fighters.

Only background with ArcSys is BlazBlue and Persona 4 fighting game. I'm interested but I have some questions.

Can I play as Jack-O without her mask? Can I get some samples of the vocal tracks? I have PS3 so I can cross play with PS4 players, do I get Revelator or Revelator and SIGN for the story mode? Wait for Revelator 2 upgrade to have a price drop or does it bring offline content for people who are bad at fighting games like me?

Since Rev has no dub, can I at least turn off voices individually and still get music and sound effects during a match?

Sol is my favorite character in general. I picked him in GG1 because he looked the coolest and never looked back.

Gameplay wise I like aggressive rushdown characters and Sol's the poster boy for that in an already offense, rushdown heavy game.

Character wise I tend to like characters who lose their humanity. Sol is actually the reason I like those kinds of characters and I find his character arc about revenge, being lied to for the sole purpose to keep him angry and scared, and his own fear of his lack of humanity despite still having a very human mind, interesting.

Jam, her fighting style seems to be so honest and flashy, also her basic combos aren't that hard to do in most cases

Still learning the basics before I jump on the online, but the game is hella fun, just spended 3 hours just doing the advanced combo trials with some characters, didn't learn anything useful but for some reason I'm a sucker for those things

My only two complaints about Jam are her voice and the can in her hair.

Faust is my favorite character even though I don't play him. I like his design and how he plays. I play Sin though because he's easy as fuck to play and his combos are nice.

I actually get more matches on GG because the lobby system is better than sfv's. The game is better too. What's your agenda, user? I don't care about stream numbers or esports personalities. I just want a fighting game with a skill ceiling that rewards good execution.

Jack-O always has her mask in fights. Revelator should have a synopsis of the plot from Sign, Rev 2 just adds a couple of epilogue scenes. I think you still need Rev 2 to access its patch content, but I'm not sure. And I think you can mute voices while leaving music and sound effects on.

I bought GG Rev2 in order to get some practice in for when dbfz comes out, but after the tutorial with sol, I thought on dropping the game. I came to my senses and realized that was stupid, i'd just go through the roster and find a character whose personality I enjoyed.
I picked Dizzy because of her blue hair and those angel and demon things on her back.
When I realized she had a fire/ice moveset, I knew she was gonna be my main. The fact she is the nicest character in the cast also helped seal the deal.

Similiar situation with me. Picked up Sign as my first fighting game, did the tutorials and all that stuff, but none of the characters really stuck with me. That was until me and my friend bought Revelator on a whim, and I found Elphelt.
Been playing her ever since, even if I know some people still hate her.

Kliff wasn't a boss character he was in the starting roster of the first Guilty Gear. You didn't even need to unlock him. He died in that one too, but I think it's nips not liking old men.

Justice is a different case. Justice was originally a boss character and they couldn't ever get down a way to make Justice with a proper playstyle until Accent Core+ which was this tanky zoner like Sagat from Street Fighter. Not a lot of people got that attached to Justice, but despite that she's a lot more popular than Kliff.

how do you approach neutral? played a few games of the psx version with a friend and it devolved into buttonmashing because were both pretty shit, but even though were shit at sf i can still distinguish like footsies/spacing, this game seems like a clusterfuck

He's made of paper and requires a lot of mobility and has a heavy reliance on hit confirmation. Compared to like, Sin, whose buttons are just good enough that you can win a game just on footsies, Chipp is a harder drive but with more bang for your buck.

Damn, this guy completely fucked me when I started playing. I was with Dizzy and he hit me from across the screen the whole game. 2 perfects.

They're not mechanically 1:1. I pick GG over BB cause of aesthetic. The character designs in BB just seem way too pandering for my taste. Something is classier about I-No and Jack-O in comparison to Bullet or Litchi.

There are so many GG threads lately. It's amazing. My favourite will forever be May. She was my first main, back in #R, and I just can't switch. She's like part of my soul now. When Xrd came out I was really put off by her new fightstyle but just couldn't change characters. Now I love it.

Just play him. If you play a character you don't enjoy just because it's easy you're just going to ruin your experience. Go play Chipp and eventually you'll figure it out.
