Literally happens to every fightan game that isn't made by Capcom. They sell big on launch, then the online community dies within a month.

HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN KAPPABROS!?? IT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR, IT WAS TEKKEN'S TURN, THIS WAS OUR YEAR TO STICK IT TO THE CAPKEKS!!!!

Street Fighter V just had a new character release today.

This thread is disingenuous.

If you actually look at the steam chart numbers, Tekken 7 is doing better now than Street Fighter V did at this point after it's launch.

Based Abigail saving SFV
We did it bros, tekken is finished
How can tekkeks possibly recover?

New character in SFV came out so thats why SFV numbers are up but you just started this thread to start some fanboy war bullshit so whatever

>reddit spent a whole year waging a smear campaign against SFV
>a single new character is enough for SFV to surpass Tekken, a game barely one month old

>steamcharts.com/app/389730
>4,558 peak today

Numbers always temporarily go up when a new characters comes out in SFV.

New character and SFV still didn't beat Tekken 7's peak player count today.

It really is amazing how SFV still attracts so many players more than a year after release even with Reddit, Twitch chat and YouTube comments shitting on it 24/7. I don't even think it's a good fighting game, but anything that makes /r/kappa mad makes me happy.

It averages a little over 1,000 players at any given time.

That's not any different than SFIV. It's just a shame that SFV isn't better than SFIV otherwise who knows where it could be.
