>re-releasing bad games that nobody liked
What's the point?
Gotta be honest, I haven't liked the game very much. I vowed to complete it since it's the 3rd time picking up the game, and I'm at the final area (post Pharaos). Party is all around level 50.
I'm playing the International version on my PC using the emulator PCSX2 running at 4k and 60fps on my GTX 970 4790K
I beat IZJS on pcsx2 a long time ago. Got through the 5 judges as well.
I used a save game editor because I didn't like the RNG grind for equipment. I don't want to spend fucking 40 hours going for that overpowered invisible bow so I just edited my save file.
Is this game worth it if I've never played another FF besides XIV or should I grab XV instead?
The flavor of the week period is over, op. You have no reason to make threads to discuss a game no one is playing.
ebin post bro :))
game is just as forgettable as it was when it launched, lmao
Heard it's easy as shit because the game is not balanced for secondary jobs.
It's my first FF and I love it.
I might pick up XV after this, is it good?
In TZA it's possible to manipulate RNG thanks to autosaving in the airdeck while having another gamesave in the tutorial.

Anyway Seitengrat breaks the game. I don't even use it.
Aaaaaanyway, I absolutely love Ivalice. Can't wait to finish Pharos so I can hear one of those new soundtracks in Penumbra.
Did it hit steam or not yet?
That's because you couldn't even kill Trickster right?
Worth as Fuck.
Nah, not unbalanced but it is easier than vanilla XII.
It doesn't have anything to do with jobs. Final Fantasies are just very easy games.
Did you at least killed Dark Yojimbo five times in a row in FFX?
Easy... that's only if you play main story and nothing else.
I'd say 6 months or so
I hope they make a patch for the pc version where they up the enemy stats a bit.
>Dark Yojimbo
The fact that you had to use that as an example of FF being hard says a lot about how easy the series is.
Where is the chocobo entrance to the Henne Mines?
I don't know how jrpg bosses even can be ''hard''. Only via stat padding or some bullshit abilities, like self healing or an attack that wrecks all characters at the same time.
Because I'm waiting for inevitable PC version that will hopefully allow me to turn off the cancerous post processing that ruins the lighting and atmosphere.
FF10 and Lightning Returns did let you turn it off (although in those it actually looked good and better than vanilla) so I hope this will be the same, seeing as it's same studio doing FF12 HD that did FF10 HD.
Hidden by bushes in Ozmon Field.
>FF10
> (although in those it actually looked good and better than vanilla)
TZA won't come out on PC this year.
They wanted it a PS exclusive.
How do I beat King Bomb? I'm underlevelled at 24 right? Surely cheesing it with specifix spells isnt the intended method right?
The lighting is objectively better, I don't see a problem.
Yuna's face can be fixed with a mod, same with Tidus.
FF12 HD didn't touch the faces at all.
Also, I'm 100% convinced you've got a bot that notifies you everytime someone on the internet and Sup Forums mentions FF10 HD because you're literally everywhere posting the exact same pictures with the exact same filenames and filesizes.
That's what they said about Type-0 too.
I sure as fuck am going to trust a random retard tripfag, yep. Totally.
Also I don't care if it comes out this year or next year, it's not like I'm in a hurry to replay a game I already played once.
You're still a complete moron if you think it's an exclusive though when every single FF port barring 15 and this is on PC already.
>The lighting is objectively better, I don't see a problem.
It by better you mean removed.
>Yuna's face can be fixed with a mod, same with Tidus.
No.
>Also, I'm 100% convinced you've got a bot that notifies you everytime someone on the internet and Sup Forums mentions FF10 HD because you're literally everywhere posting the exact same pictures with the exact same filenames and filesizes.
That would be useful.
Who else has 2x speed on constantly?
I really don't understand the hype. I was poster from I just finished the final boss. I can say with actual honesty that the last half of the game I set my gambits seemingly perfectly to just press L1 and 4x time skip autoplay the rest of the game. I wish I was kidding but I'm not. I feel like I haven't even played a game and it's done :(
>It by better you mean removed.
Show me where IRL sunset causes your skin to turn fucking PURPLE.
HD has objectively more accurate lighting user.
The skybox change is legit trash though, that's definitely inferior.
Notice the removal of shadows. Nice lighting.
Probably everyone. You only need to turn it off trying to interact with objects or during boss fights.
>Use an OPTIONAL feature to customize your own AI to autistic perfection
>Complain that the AI is so good the game plays itself
???
It's kinda your fault for using gambits, just don't use them if you don't want the game to play itself.
>Show me where IRL sunset causes your skin to turn fucking PURPLE.
Show me where Final Fantasy is real.
>HD has objectively more accurate lighting user.
It's objectively removed. See
>>Use an OPTIONAL feature
This is what the defense force resorts to? They should have balanced the game around the combat system they made. But they didn't.
I can't tell who's the bigger autist, you or XV-kun, either way I'm ejecting the thread since you shat it up with your inbred autism as usual since nobody gives a shit about your opinions.
Sincerely fucking kill yourself.
I do.
It's much better for grinding.
I have mine on 4x and haven't turned it off all game. This game literally plays itself.
I don't get why you get so ass blasted when I prove you wrong. You were the one who brought it up, deal with the consequence of your lie like a normal person.
I beat the game yesterday. The game is pretty unbalanced for the double job system. I defeated the last bosses like nothing and I'm level 50, nothing crazy.
Playing it on my Vita right now. It's great
>The game is pretty unbalanced for the double job system.
IZJS and the original were piss easy too back then, the double job system isn't to blame for that
I hope we can mod the spell effects on PC to make them faster in a year or two
That's amazing. I fly by stuff like doors or chests with the speed boost activated.
>Show me where IRL sunset causes your skin to turn fucking PURPLE.
Yuna's back is turned away from the sun, only indirect light from reflective surfaces such as the sky is illuminating it. Daytime shadows tend to be blue as they're being illuminated by the light reflected by the blue sky. Light skin, especially if it's closer to pink than orange, can look purple when the evening sky reflects a weaker, darker blue light onto it.
Lol to be honest I definitely had to have missed tons of loot. It doesn't help that most chests are the same color as the surface/surroundings upon which they are situated.
He's beyond reasoning with. At least he left.
I literally bought a Vita for portable FFXII and Soul Nomad. I got neither but at least Remote Play exists for one. I'm just going to hope NIS is desperate enough to throw more games at the Switch so that Soul Nomad can happen.
Actually they did, and you used it to perfection. You beat the game user feels pretty empty huh?
It still has the same problem of the OG version, you get too powerful very easily but now they kinda restrict who can get the highly powerful healing and elemental spells so it kinda helps....a lil bit.
I'm gambiting my way through everything but at least there's a double speed to offset the tedium.
A friend with Oil->Handkerchief(or Remedy)
Also fire shields help against him.
And you need HIGH DPS, the guy cures it's whole HP bar if it's low HP
I'm still playing. Just finishing out the trophies.
I took on Yiazmat for the first time, never got to him in the original version. Fucking bullshit. I got him down to like 20%, hadn't needed to touch the controller at all. I got up to take a leak, gone for maybe 40 seconds, I come back he's at full health. Don't know how that happened.
Also have to figure out how the fuck to get all the occurancers or whatever they are. I never use the mist command, everytime I do, they never have mist recharges after like the fifth move so I don't get how people get Black Hole.
Quickenings are extremely RNG-influenced
It's fucking bullshit how this game has SO many Instant-Death moves but no way to protect against them.
>enemy has 5% insta death move
Okay that's not too bad...
>can combo up to 12 times
What the fuck were they thinking? Even Ribbon doesn't work.
Going for the espers before doing giruvegan. Why is the wyrmhero blade so fucking slow? Why does it make a silly 8-bit noise when it hits things? Is this a joke weapon?
Yes, it's a joke weapon and uses sounds from another game as a Easter Egg
Unfortunately they tend to rely on status effects and insta-kill moves in high level side content. Or worse, Gorillions of HP.
It's a damage check. If you can unload with quickenings, you're good. I think the threshold decreases as he uses renew more, cuz when I fought him he used it at 25%, 15%, then didn't use it a third time.
And that's exactly why I can't stand the combat in this game along with some other things
The fact that practically every high level enemy just spams tons of status moves that you have to take care if is stupid.
I understand what they were trying to do but this game just has so many obnoxious design quirks that I just can't enjoy it at all. Honestly gives me an FF2 feeling in that regard
How do you beat the last trial?
Anyone tried Foebreaker/Machinist Or Foebreaker/White Mage?
was planning to give either set of jobs to Fran on my next playthrough
Recently switched most of my team to using Shades of Black to deal with flying monsters since apparently my Black Mage is the only one with Telekinesis. And now my game has turned into DBZ.
Zodiark the fucking asshole comes to mind. "oh you just entered the room? Here take Darkja, a AOE with 50‰ chance of death, oh I'm down to 20% of my life? Here let me spam Darkja."
It makes me feel good that people are playing Final Fantasy XII now and possibly enjoying it.
It's such a well made game.
I miss doing bounty boss hunts
How do you not have better anti-air? Monks, uhlans, white mages, archers, time mages and machinists can naturally hit air with their weapons, and black mages and red mages can spam spells all day. Even shikari gets telekinesis. I'm pretty sure hand-bombs can hit air too so breaker is covered as well. Only leaves knight and bushi being gimped with no anti-air.
>got him down to like 20%, hadn't needed to touch the controller at all. I got up to take a leak, gone for maybe 40 seconds, I come back he's at full health.
I think you fell for the old "Yiazmat reaches a HP treshold and casts reflect on your party and you bounce Renew onto it" trick that was extremely intentional by the devs.
I followed Gamefaqs God Tier Job suggestions but now I'm afraid that I will miss out on the Learn Every Magick Trophy because no one is a Time Mage. Did I screw myself? This game only feels like a one playthrough type of game.
doesn't matter if you can't cast it as long as you obtain the spell. It's fine.
Fran's the real problem since she's Bushi/Knight. And then Penelo's Black Mage/Shikari, and she's just nuking in general so that Telekinesis is wasted. I also don't want to stop to swap weapons every time I run into a flyer, and completely random spells seem to work pretty well.
There is an order to follow i remember correctly.
Why would you have no time mage, do you not like having haste and slow.
First time player here, I'm not sure If I'm good at it or not. Usually for story bosses I don't have a lot of problems but for hunts I'm struggling a lot. I'm level 27-ish and I went to do some bounty hunts but I got my ass handed to me by level III marks, for what I have seen on videos everyone has either OP weapons or they cheese the boss. I did one last level II mark and I pretty much winged it. So is there's supposed to be that much of a learning curve or am I missing something?
Depends of which hunts you're trying to kill.
Carrot is availble quite early but fucks your ass until after Giruvegan.
Same happens with Trickster.
Marks are usually harder than the story bosses. Just change up your gambits.
.
What licenses should I give everyone?
I suck at decisions and will probably end up fucking up anyway.
Is there some trick to using Measures? I whacked Basch in the face with a protractor a few times, but all it did was deal damage.
Vaan - Knight / Bushi
Balthier - Uhlan / Time Battlemage
Fran - White Mage / Machinist
Basch - Foebreaker / Shikari
Ashe - Monk / Black Mage
Penelo - Red Battlemage / Archer
Did I fuck myself out of the Trial trophy?
Just give them what sounds useful for their class (I.E. Magic potency for wizards and HP and attack for Knights and Foebrakers) Try to get the spells and Techniques first and then go for the gear/weapons. I didn't have any idea on how to do it but I've been doing it like that so far and I'm halfway through the game without much trouble. I think Gambits are more important on the long run.
Legit forgot how much I hated it until it came in the mail last week. No amount of rebalancing can save the boring story and slow combat
>Slow combat
Now that's why we got X2 and X4 speed modes.
I just have yiazmat and the fishing shit left, and i fucking hate the fishing shit.
Surprising the fishing is the best part off ff15 wish it was the same in 12
It's like you've never played a FF before
>running on field
>screen flashes and slowly fades away
>DUNDUNDUNDUN
>camera slowly pans to characters
>DUNUN
>reveals a few toads
>hold down the attack button for the next 30 seconds
>enemies defeated without any additional effort
>victory song, you're still holding down the button to get through the next menu
>cuts to spoils screen showing your characters get 100 hp and an antidote
>goes back to field screen
>repeat 20 times until you need to open up your menu and use cure-all on your party a few times
