High school was just a miserable time for me. I filled the void with video games and spent the entire time wishing I could leave. Guild Wars 1 and the expansion packs really gave me something to look forward to when the day was over.

No they aren't at all.
Everything in GW2 has a hitbox. Everyone's kit is very similar.
In GW2 you can be a long range mesmer who does, say burning. Or a close range one that does blinds or some shit. But never vice versa. And you can tell just by what somebody is holding what they're capable of.
In GW you can take a mesmer and build to fuck casters, build to fuck melee, build to shred general enchantments, do other less viable shit, combine any of the above with any other profession, like take invuln from earth magic as a pussy button. Or assassin shadowstep to ally as a pussy button. Or go Elementalist primary with added mesmer for some weird energy tank usage. Or something else if you can think of it.
I think that was the best art, yes. I didn't see it on a cover though.
Last time I played GW2 (which is admittedly a very long time ago) they had replaced tanking damage with evading and rolling out of damage zones which lead to a lot of the harder encounters turning into dodge or die, which wasn't very fun in my opionion.
They also banked too much on their server vs server pvp mode and esports arena battles.

atmosphere, music, gamemechanic, way much better build variability. Titles means something, minies were not pointless and rewardish. Team play and cooperation was challenginf and iportant.. in gw2 it doestn matter what you play.. you spam any skill on word bosses which are off CD.. too many other thigs

I remember taking a bunch of runs in that Charr camp in EoTN where it leveled your dwarven rank, got 10 Denver and all the gold I gave was made from the infinite quest and drops. I was basically tour guiding the noobies so they don't pull aggro by the end

Yeah you needed very little to get max quality armor and weapon. Beyond that was just more expensive better looking armor and weapon that had the same stats.

gold is actually pretty tough to get, the econ balancing was pretty well done. However, all the gameplay-relevant stuff could be had for relatively cheap
getting a set of 15k armor on the other hand or a perfect gold was where the money sink was or if you're really crazy fissure/chaos hands
Starting city in nightfall was a trading hub as well as some others like Lions Arch and the post tutorial city in Factions. Everyone accepted dinero lad how can it be useless when it can get you everything?
