majoras mask was spooky when i was little baby

Yes.

First time a blood moon started happening in Breath of the Wild was pretty spooky

Deadspace 2 scared the shit out of my ass

...

Man your ass is a pussy Dead Space 2 scared you.

yea

what game is that from?

I played it on Sonic Gems Collection, and I came across this because I was looking up sound test codes when I was a little lad.
I did not expect this.

DON'T

OPEN

IT

-first encounter with aliens in avp2
-first dog encounter in penumbra (including demo)
-first encounter with reaper in seamoth 300m deep in void

the last one was the strongest

SH4 has some good spooks but the game still shit

How is the head room in any way scary? It was comical.

My first one happened when I was walking dangerously (from my beginner's perspective) close to Hyrule Castle and it spooked me bad.

condemned 2 in the beginning where you're in this dark room filled with black cum or whatever it is and some fucker falls from the roof right in front of you

also one where I was reading whatever was written in the wall(look behind you I think but in two walls and wasnt easy to read so you had to focus) and as I'm finishing some fucker rapes me from behind

2spooky

I used to play it on a black and white Windows 3.1 laptop so it didn't have colors to make it less scary. Of course it scared the shit out of me.

I was afraid of the lizard dudes from the earlier turok games

i was not ready for it

This game instills feelings of dread in me unlike anything else I've ever played

It's mostly the soundtrack

I didn't know what fear was before this

STALKER scares me but also makes me feel brave.

>Explore a spooky looking building trying to find something for a mission
>Hear a freaky noise
>Run away/pause game until I'm no longer spooked
>Usually sprint with volume turned off to try and get in and out
>Spam bullets everywhere if I see something move
>Generally a terrifying ordeal

Later

>Enter building
>Move through it slowly and methodically
>Hear a noise
>Realise what it is
>Sneak around to out-manoeuvre it
>Kill it
>Get on with the day

I've yet to find a game with progression as good as STALKER. Nothing makes you feel like you've progressed in a game moreso than when you get better solely by experience. Better gear obviously makes a difference, but knowing how to take on certain enemies/monsters in certain environments feels infinitely better than just having higher stats.

only one, in last 20 years - call of cthulhu. I played everything. obscure japanese horror psx games, completely unknown asian pc games (with no english translation). you name it. I'm not counting games with jump scares and similar shit. I mean, real pure horror. the internet/youtube lps ruined obscure horror games desu but there are still some undiscovered gems out there.

Muh tomato sauce on pizza!!!!!

The fact that the only special effects here is the footage being sped up is the most disturbing part. People aren't meant to move this way.

You are becoming hysterical
please calm down

Fuck right off

parasite eve 2 gave young me nightmares for about 2 straight months

enemies in that game weren't scary you know - just very disturbing, unnaturally shaped - nightmare fuel noises.

>be 9 years old
>dream about this fucker screaming as he kills my family

Yeah what a nice enemy

...

the zombies in ocarina of time

i couldn't finish the game as a kid because the shadow dungeon

Probably had more to do with the fact that I was home alone while my parents were on vacation in another country.

Weird shit would happen too, like I'd hear loud bangs from the inside of the chimney, my dogs would refuse to go outside and cower at the door, and I'd hear laughter when I tried to go to bed.

Game was pretty shit.

I really don't like tall lanky things or mannequins so this boss could fuck off two fold. The music didn't help. Or the fact that she'd fuck off onto the ceiling. And regardless of the issues the game had I still feel like Alex was the best protagonist in terms of reactions. I feel like he was the only person subjected to Silent Hill's bullshit who actually reacted to it.

>Floating hair is totally natural.

run

I meant in regards to the movement.

>Love the Silent Hill series
>The atmosphere, music, and sound design is an example for what today's games should strive for
>The second it gets past 6 p.m. I refuse to play it because it puts me in a constant state of fear and paranoia

I love the horror genre, I'm just an absolute pussy

Silent Hill was my first proper spoop.

It was also the last, but what a way to go, eh?

...

couldn't even make it past the first 5 minutes of the game, most other horror games I can usually last about half an hour before pussying out for good

Don't worry you didn't miss out anything, the game is shit, just like every other paradox game.

Where's this from?

movie?

These creatures from shadows of the empire.

Spider-Man on PS1 and N64. It's Doc Ock taken over by the Carnage symbiote

Mama

FUCK! I remember that part where he chases you down the corridor "DIE DIE DIE"

Mamma mia

What do you guys think of Layers of Fear? Was kinda spooky and low on gameplay but I had fun with it.

This fuck
I think I remember him showing up throughout the level just eating soldiers

FUCK??

youtu.be/0-GdzJMX9Ns

>little sister saw me play this game
>went to school and said her fav.. animal.. was a fucking wendigo
kekked for years lad holy shit thanks for posting this and making me remember

>"why is he your favorite?"
>he
>eats
>people

I love my sis good fuckin god lmao

Aqui

Yes, I never finished it because everytime I reach this part I have to scarequit.

i.4cdn.org/wsg/1501073135590.webm

>Mom walks in

That was pretty great

That penis saw from outlast.

creepy as fuck

kell dragons scared the shit out of me when dark forces 2 first came out

...

This really got me in FEAR, I didn't look behind me until the last second.

youtu.be/tLlrBdRp6_c

What are you gonna do? Prosecute a baby?

above you

Not because you didn't like the game means it's shit user

A little bit.

SPIIIIDEEEEEERMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANN

DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEE

FUCK

Why was mgs1 so fucking spooki?

Ocean House mission in Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines gave me a bit of a spook. As well as Lurkers in that cave in Jak and Daxter

Not since Silent Hill 4: The Room.

RE7 had some good bits, kept me tense but I don't think I was ever scared.

Fun is infinite

>leave the game idle and turn the tv off while I go take a shit
>come back, turn tv on and be greeted by this bitch's face appearing all over the screen
>save the game asap and don't play for the rest of the night
Totally caught me off guard, I nearly shat myself again

Meme answer but there's a reason Amnesia became so popular. Although for me it was only the part with the brute in the torture rooms.

The Mawmen in Half-Life really freaked me out. The Half-Life 2 Mawmen were also scary, but there was something about those original low-res Mawmen back in the 90s that just sent shivers down my spine. I really can't think of something in a video game that scared me more than the Mawmen.

Ravenholm
any map that has a facehugger in alien games
Metroid Prime 2 in general
the original Slender and fnaf
PT
Bioshock 1 and 2

>You can not fight him in most of the game
>Speak in reverse
>No matter what you do always know where you are
This thing scare me a lot

I wanna play that horror game.

7 days to die never went anywhere sadly but damn if it wasn't scary to be out at night, the zombies do NOT fuck around at night

fuckn kek

you've brought back memories that are not welcome

youtube.com/watch?v=KTwZ-vvnbps

i played this game when i was young and had no standards, good christ this scared the hell out of me

witch house is better though

These fuckers.

My leg shook uncontrollably when they saw me and started teleporting around. I had to quit out. I now really hate any level having to do with them

Game?
