Kaiji was such a fun anime. Too bad it ended on such a boring final gamble. The stupid Bog had nothing.

Uncharted Waters: New Horizons, when you're not discovering exotic treasures or fighting pirates.

This. Love the gambling in God Hand.

SEASON 3
NEVER

>game gives you the ultimate thrill of a cliffhanger

Kaiji shucks.
There, I said it.

Yakuza 0 playing Mahjong.

please don't remind me

P A C H I N K O

I loved Kaiji (until pachinko) but I can't really get into Akagi. By reading some wiki and watching the show I've understood the basics of mahjong, but for lack of a better word Akagi just feels overpowered. I like some of his philosophies, but it was more exciting with Kaiji because you knew that he could (and on multiple occasions, gets) his ass kicked. But it's not simply that Akagi feels untouchable, it's how they had to make him a fucking ninja fighter and everything too. He's almost a mary sue but with a very dark outlook on life.

Nigga, did you even watch the show?
The blind dude was better than Akagi.

I couldn't fucking believe that happened

I'm sure there will be some better opponents later on but dude the blind guy was ass. He had nothing except a cheating method and in the end had nothing for Akagi.

Sure bro.

Isn't this just from another out-alpha moment shortly after Urabe? I'm not trying to be a dick.

For what it's worth I love kaiji and I hate the big. It's a pretty big outlier quality wise. The rest of the manga is worth reading

No, he would be killed if the police guy hadn't run in and stopped them.

Sure, but Kaiji straight up loses in gambling from time to time and has to make adjustments and figure things out in order to succeed. He's a man who learns from his mistakes while Akagi is more like a superhero (or villain). I will reserve my final judgement for when I'm done with the show, but to me isn't an exemple of Akagi losing or even being pressured, it felt more like a way to show what a unrelenting badass he is.

Akagi works better in ten since he isn't the main character. But as far as him being overpowered goes he considers his match with washizu a loss since washizu actually beat him mahjong wise

Wait, its over?

The match is over yeah. It's doing an epilogue now.

Surprised nobody has said this yet but Path of Exile is a huge gambling simulator

All the currency is pretty much RNG, there's literally a currency that changes your item COMPLETELY RANDOMLY turning some into godly best items in the game worth, but if also could trash your item into a worthless piece of shit.

You gamble currency to "link" things, it's like a 1/1500 chance to 6 link your item meaning it unlocks it's full potential of support gems, another gamble every single time you try to link it

Changes colours to fit support gems is a gamble

The base currency in game changes any rare item to a RANDOM new rare item with that base (You can turn shit boots into ones worth $100 irl with a single currency, if you get lucky)

Expensive items will change your stat percentages, so you can reroll an item to be perfect, you can even add items onto unfinished items which don't have the max mod which is another gamble because you can only potentially get so many things

Best of all it's a multiplayer and very popular game so you can trade items you get good gambles on, buy items people rolled well and snipe deals like a jew.

It's incredibly fun, my biggest gamble so far is using a vall orb (see pic) on the most expensive weapon in the game, 6 linked with perfect stats and off colours, could've turned into so many awesome things but mine just became unchangeable in the future, could've lost like a week's worth of currency with 1 gamble :^)

>shilling
>reddit spacing
Can you be more obvious?

You lack something that every gambler has. You don't understand the essence of gambling.

Haha yeah I'm selling this F2P game to you, go buy it please!

Online poker (unless you live in the land of the 'free').

spnati.net

Most Harvest Moon games.

LISA has an obligatory Russian roulette segment.

Suikoden 2

>tfw no mahjong game on steam

man Kaiji was a fucking idiot

I only liked doing Blackjack. It's the only one you can reliably make money off of if you know what you're doing. The rest are all pure RNG.

>Kaiji

I never thought I'd see a show where all the characters look like Muppets, but it takes itself completely seriously and succeeds.

Dragon Quest

Almost any MMO is basically just gambling for gear nowadays.

>without any accidents like balls touching...
>these balls...these balls are my life!
>balls! balls! balls!
>it feels like endless ejaculation!!!

I don't know about completely serious senpai

I love the ost in kaiji so much, even during the slower parts I wanted to keep watching because of how great the music is

A lot of serious shows have comic relief in them.

The bog in Kaiji was so annoying despite also being hype because you knew he was going to win but they pulled several 'HA YOU LOST, AND WE WON' cliches over and over that it lost it's charm.

Still a great anime though.

>no pachinko games on Steam
>can't find any flash pachinko games that aren't shit
>closest pachinko parlor is a couple states over

I wonder why it never caught on in the US? You'd think there'd be a watered down version at chuck e cheese or Dave & Buster's or something. The game looks like mindless fun, but I've never had an opportunity to play it for real.

the bog is great if you tilt your frame of mind from it being a game to it being a heist.

also this

the manga ended.
i didnt read it but from how it was explained to me the ending of the decade long night was the most boring ending possible.

Strip Poker

Its not until he gets old that he actually starts struggling. And even then he loses like, less then 10 times in his whole life.

I liked blind guy a lot. He was pretty cool

>learns from his mistakes
>continues to get screwed over when trusting people
>keeps borrowing money knowing he cannot pay it back
>cannot stop a game until he has lost actual body parts
>continues to ruin life

I love Kaiji too, but god damn is he an idiot

flaws are what makes a character
Kaiji has alot of character
