How spot a noob in Bloodborne

How spot a noob in Bloodborne.

>upgrading weapons

Fucking noob

>how to spot a patrician

Crap I clicked the wrong file

Here we go

>there are people that didn't pick the cane

I like the axe and kirkhammer, and I have maybe three hours in the game.

Will these carry me through or should I find something else on a str build?

Also, someone told me farming blood vials off enemies is limited, is that true?

every weapon is good in this game.

blood vials are unlimited

Pizza cutter is the only true answer

Always go to ludwig and pick this up as soon as I beat ammie

>threddit cane

CANE IS SHIT

I used my axe until ng+4. Then I rerolled for a skill build and got the cane. I still have to beat moon presence, orphan, lawrence, and gehrman, but I am having a hard time finding the inspiration to pick it up again

>Also, someone told me farming blood vials off enemies is limited, is that true?
No it's not.

Also the Kirkhammer isn't amazing but any weapon in Bloodborne can be used from when you get it till the end of the game.

I just started playing, and the fucking atmosphere is incredible.

Shame I don't have online because I'd love some jolly co-operation (or whatever the equivalent of jolly is in this game.

Why does OP hate the sword, it looks cool but I haven't found it yet.

*teleports behind you*
*unzips katana*

heh...

Couldn't be any more right

>Using a weapon
>In any game
fucking casual noob enjoy your crutch

I've tried like 6 times now to run the game with the stake driver but it seems like any other weapon is better, no matter what my build is. It's awesome as fuck, too bad it's the one bad weapon in the entire game.

I fucking love that weapon. And the Rakuyo. And the Saif. Skill is so nice. I think I still prefer strength slightly more, but the DLC made skill so fucking fun.

It's a quality weapon, dumbass.

>using any weapon except the torch
Way to cheese the game, fucking casual. Can't believe I share this board with you

During my first playthrough 20000 blood echoes were too much to spend so I never bought that weapon.
I'm too lazy for NG+ also BB is an old game and I have other things to play.

What a shame that there's no animation where you could tip the top hat

Okay.

>BB is an old game

Shut up she's still young and flexible

>this thread again
Stop

Same.
It was more cheap focus your attention in upgrade this shit rather than bought another weapon.

>BB is an old game
Nigger Fallout is an old game Bloodborne is new as hell

>2015.
I only play games that are new.
Bloodborne was a great game but now is old. I need to finish NiOh.

...

While Nioh is a new game, it's old news.

I'll be here with the true Patrician Weapon

desu i didnt like it because it was a pretty generic weapon, its a greatsword/straight sword which i can use in any other souls game

That's a fair critique

Coming from someone who's only ever played souls games before, I kinda like the looks of it for that exact reason actually. Some feeling of familiarity.

I still have a few month or weeks. Destiny 2 is around the corner same as Battlefront II
Also I need to finish Crash.
I like to play games that are new in the market anf finish them, then never touch those games again.

People shit on the Ludwig's because they are contrarian faggots.

The real noob weapon is the starter axe.

Best weapon in the game (for PvE, at least) is the Saw Cleaver.

Fight me.

>Who needs damage
>implying the cane has a low damage output

It counts as serrated in its trick mode and has better range (with less windup) than many of the other weapons, making dispatching groups of enemies much easier.

People who think cane is garbage are just shit players, I suppose.

honestly i really like bloodborne for the unique weapons it has, shit like amygdalan arm, wheel, kos parasite, blades of mercy are all really interesting and unique weapons, and i feel they make bloodborne more fun weapons wise than the souls games

Contrarians see a lot of people using the sword because:
1. It's got a really fucking versatile and great moveset
2. Its moveset is similar to what people are familiar with from Dark Souls and lets them play the game a little more like Dark Souls, which they are familiar with.

So the natural reaction for these contrarians is to call it a 'memesword' and act like only scrubs and noobs use it.

It's also one of the best weapons for a STR/ARC build and that's probably one of the best builds in the game, imo.

>nobody else uses the daggers
Fine. They're not that good anyways, but I have fun with them.

Hell yeah nigga, I rotated through CP+Rakuyo+LHB+Pizza Cutter the whole time. So many choices, it was fun.

>They're not good

Eileen called, she wants you to press L1 more often during your combos.

How many payers are still active in the earlier areas in the game? I love cooperation but don't wanna buy a month of PS+ to realize I'm the only one playing this.

Just use the Beastcutter lmao

Plenty of people still play.
Can't you do a 1 month trial of PS+ anyway?

B-sides, if your budget is so shit you can't afford PS+, then you probably need to be doing something other than co-op'ing video games in your free time.

Objectively best weapon.

>Can't you do a 1 month trial of PS+ anyway?
Nah, I've had this thing for years, used that trial ages ago.

>B-sides, if your budget is so shit you can't afford PS+, then you probably need to be doing something other than co-op'ing video games in your free time.

I can afford it no problem, but this is the only game I really want to play online on my PS4, and if I wanted to pay a sub to play a game I'd sub FFXIV or something, know what I mean?

Doing a cane only run since saw weapons break the game.
bretty fun so far. at old yarnham though and i fucking hate this place

>Beast Cutter
>Counts as Blunt in both modes
>Garbage for Rallying, which is the most useful mechanic in the game
>STR Build weapon

Maybe I'd use Beast Cutter if I was building STR and my secondary weapon was more of a single-target thing.

Cane has its place as a wide-range, versatile SKL weapon.

I get what you mean, but a PS+ sub also nets you discounts, a few free games, etc.

I avoided a sub for the longest time, but found that it pretty much paid for itself given how many games I bought through PSN on the regular, anyway.

Well, I think Beast Cutter is great!

I started to use the wheel for the simple fact that I loved the idea of bludgeoning shit to death with a fucking wheel.

I mean, I've had a sub before, and it was pretty neato, but since I beat everything I owned, and destiny got stale, I didn't see the point.

Understand that this is the first time I've touched my PS4 in like 6 months, I play mostly on my PC and switch. Still, I guess with freebee games, I'd be more inclined to play this more.

I could never get into it. It's rad as fuck, but the moveset never 'clicked' with me and I loved revving it up too much for my own good.

It's a bit of a noob trap though. While the numbers in the character menu are BIG the sword itself got mostly shitty damage modifiers (blunt-church weapon+shitty combo modifiers) that reduce the DPS by a lot. IIRC a cleaver will always out-dps it.

well I guess you aren't entirely wrong since it was my main weapon throughout my first playthrough

objectively the most fun weapon in the game coming through

fuck you bitch
I've used a longsword with no shield in every souls game and that was as close as I could get in bb. Even tried to switch but every weapon in the game other than the hunter axe looks gay as fuck or has a goofy moveset
besides the real nooby shit is the fact my health bar stretches across almost 50% of my screen

This weapon is fucking boring as shit. Literally just hold L2 to win.

I can't believed I got memed to use it. What a chore.

>Replica is better than original Moonlight.
kek

Im feeling like playing this game again and trying to get every weapon and do every little thing this game has to offer. Should I just look up guide from internet. I feel like if I wont look guide I will surely miss something and do something that I cant get it anymore

most souls games need at least 2-3 playthroughs to get everything due to needing to kill npcs for certain items or spend boss souls on different things
bbs probably the same so I'd do the first playthrough on memory and check a guide to see what you missed on the second

You posted a boring pizza cutter instead of the real fun weapon
Luckily I got your back, no need to thank me

>people who pick axe and do nothing but spam tricked r2

They're also my favorite weapon, user. Their dash r1 is great.

stand aside little boys, make way for a real hunters weapon

...

...

It also does church damage

...

Thats not the tentacular transformation.

I'm quite sure you can get everything in just one playthrough.

who /Boom Hammer/ master race here?

>tfw 50/50 STR-BLT build with Hammer, Bloodletter and Church Cannon

top 5 bloodborne weapons
1. kirkhammer
2. reiterpallasch
3. wheel
4. tonitrus
5. pizza cutter

search your heart, you know it be true

This looks like one of the most satisfying weapons to land kills with in PVP.

GIGA DRILL BREAKER

after you play a lot you realize where every little thing is that you wont need a guide.
i'm in the boat where it feels like a chore. i know where to go, what to pick up, how to defeat each boss etc. feels like a fucking checklist after awhile that it kinda burns me out.
threaded cane run hopefully makes it more interesting

which is pretty much useless

>There are Arcanelets in this VERY thread
wtf

>kirkhammer above wheel and pizza cutter
>kirkhammer on the list at all
>amygdalan arm and saif nowhere to be seen

i dont think ive ever seen worse taste in my life

user you better have three max blunt gems slotted in that hammer

>chalice dungeons

how can you hate the kirkhammer, user?
did a mean invader diddle you with it?

cane is just a poormans beast cutter
less stylish too

I mostly used the Scythe, but it's fairly late game and I used the Holy Blade up until then.
I did use the Scythe for M+ including the stupid hard superbosses, and beat NG+ with it though.

The charge attack was so fucking satisfying.

Real skill is using ONLY that one attack

...

>M+
i meant chalice but I've been playing WoW for some reason
surprisingly similar mechanic

>20000 blood echoes were too much to spend

its boring.

I'll give you a *real* tier list

>Ascendant
Beasthunter Saif, Amygdalan Arm, Kos Parasite, Whirligig Saw, Burial Blade
>Learned Scholars
Threaded Cane, Simon's Bowblade, Tonitrus, Logarius' Wheel, Beast Claws, Blood Letter, Reiterpallasch
>Hunters
Saw Cleaver, Hunter Axe, Rifle Spear, Beast Cutter, Boom Hammer, Holy Moonlight Sword, Kirkhammer, Saw Spear, Stake Driver, Blade of Mercy
>Beastly Idiots
Chikage, Rakuyo, Ludwig's Holy Blade, Church Pick,

Fuck you, the cane has excellent range and is great for edging enemies and dealing with mobs

I couldn't beat that squirrely fucking chalice darkbeast without it

Oh, the Cleaver is nonsense-good. Doesn't have the moveset versatility, but it hardly needs it.

i love the back step r1.

>Saw Cleaver and Spear that low
>Whirligig saw that high

Oh boy, user
I can tell you're trash.

I bet you also think Rifle Spear is garbage because you never used it pre-nerf.

the axe is probably the least useful starter weapon overall

Yeah bro I make these niggas St. Catherine

pretty much. better to use a cane if you want cleave and untricked for single targets

untricked axe is kinda ass

>Thinks Whirligig isn't top tier
Wanna know how I know you're wrong?

HOW DO I USE THIS FUCKING THING

what are the good moves to use(abuse)

Whirligig is a cool concept with shit execution.
It's not fun to use. It is effective in fringe cases and, then, it feels cheesy.
