There's a 1080 for $412 on a certain site. It's gigabyte though.

>$560 for a slightly above mid-tier card
Guess my new build will keep waiting

> muh manchild legos

>PC gaming is cheaper, guys!

When the fuck did the spike happen for video cards? A few months ago, you could have gotten a 1070 for 350 - 400 dollars.

people mining internet currencies. funny considering the fact that all of the work is done on the CPU and they are spamming Sup Forums to get people to buy the stock they purchased with the intent to scalp.

Who says that?

>tfw Canadian
>tfw our prices are more expensive anyway
>tfw the 1070 went from 550~ to 700

FUCK

>tfw VEGA is competing with a year old card at nearly the same price
I guess I'll just stick to my 970 for a couple more generations

>shipped and sold by: literally who out of his garage

newegg and are e-swap meet sites

i got the same card by a better company for $280 a year ago

its inflated because of buttcoins, ive never seen anything like it

I really should have bought an RX 480 last year when they came out and I was strongly considering it.

if you calculate everything into it long term it is.

however is retarded, it's everybody buying GPUs for mining, it has jack shit to do with gaming.

>falling for the third party jew
nintendo fans whining about scalpers don't even know how bad it could possibly be

That's fucked up, isn't there cheaper and more efficient specialized hardware for bitcoin mining anyways?

It clearly says out of stock amigo

just buy a 1080 for cheaper, you dope.

someone figured out how to mine with gpus?

it's the main reason there are hardly any stocks anywhere, especially AMD.

bitcoin yeah, but most mine eth and other meme currencies

Not really, manufacturers are just starting to produce mining-specific GPUs.

If you wanted to get a new gpu you can't fucking wait around like a poor little bitch. When the 580 dropped I was one of the first to get them, scalped the second one a week ago for half a grand too because only a retard goes multicard

Destroy the cryptocurrencies. Crush the miners. Figure out how to piggyback that shit and put an end to them.

>"I literally have no fucking idea how bitcoin mining works in the slightest but I am going to spew shit out of my mouth anyways to look like I'm smart enough to be on the internet" the post

I can't. the miner jews killed the low-mid level GPU market. I hope their cryptocuck currency crashes hard.

It's cheaper if you buy a cheaper graphics card. That GPU is moderately more powerful than the one you would find in a PS4 pro.

Is gigabyte bad?

I have EVGA but almost went for gigabyte back in February

I'm glad I picked myself up a 1080 for $560 back in December / January before Mining hit its stride with ETH.

Is there any money to be made mining with my R9 290?

There's no defending this. The 1060 just doesn't have the output for cryptocurrency mining, even the beefier dual-fan version.

Where do you think thw third party bought it?
Just let them sit on it until they lower their price or drop dead.

Curious, what makes you say this? Generally mid-tier cards like the 1060 are the hardest hit by crypto crazes

>tfw americans say that you can build a good pc for less than $1000
>tfw they are literally this ignorant

/biz/ is killing Sup Forums

You want the beefiest cluster you can afford, people who just buy a couple of cards like the 1060 are basically mom and pop operations and while they may make a bit of money if they decide to enter and exit the market at the right time, they're not going to make Chinese Money.

>he fell for the shitcoin meemee

>bought a R9 290 almost 3 years ago for 300€
>still plays everything just fine at 1440p

You can

Lowest settings I bet.

Usually high settings, which look almost the same as ultra anyway

link plz or i'll bully you

Just buy a ps4 slim.

OP litterally said
>defend this

Same, the R9 290 is really great I'm glad I bought it.
